Thank you GoodLuck, I will spend 10 days, so I listed different places/areas to visit for each day, and they are all the free tourist areas. The only day I said I will spend some money was 24th for my toddler at a kiddies Christmas park. I was already over budgeted, so didn’t list ticketed places.

And I will like to thank all the gurus like @justwise, Giselle, cash madam, ekpotek, and co for all the good works they render here!

1/ Please how did you write the acceptable Refusal letter,, did you just pick the reasons and clarify them paragraph by paragraph

OR you write the full Refusal letter from the eco before you start clarify them paragraph by paragraph, kindly guide me how you arrange the refusal point in ur letter

2/ Did you use hotel booking for your accommodations and what is the price in pounce

3/ Is it inside the free tour App you select all the places you want to visit

I am a member of the silent readers association, silently learning for years and waiting for the day that I will finally share my own good news.

Bit of history:
Applied for UK visa in 2007 with false identity and false docs (of course an agent was involved), but was denied.

Approached another agent in 2012 whom I told about the false identity used in 2007. This one used my real identity and real docs, and wrote a letter to explain about the false identity used before. Visa was granted and I traveled for 2wks.

I applied for renewal when the 6mths visa was about to expire by myself, but omitted the part about the falsehood since 2007. Of course I chopped 10 yrs ban. I assumed that the explanation letter from the agent has erased my misrepresentation.
I learnt the hard way that I must always refer to that immigration iniquity.

So, on expiration of the 10-yr ban in 2022, I applied for visa Dec 2022. I quoted expenditures that was 2 times my disposable income, and had several credits in my salary account apart from my stated salary, so automatic refusal.

That was when I finally discovered the travel section of nairaland. I applied again in May 2023, I trimmed my travel expenditures to within 2 months disposable income, and I had cover letter to explain all the credits that were not salary. I was still refused. Reason being that I did not attach support documents for those explanations.

I gave up and concluded that I was still being punished for my misbehavior in 2007. Along the way, I finally had my baby as a single parent in 2023. Traveled to Qatar Feb 2025, and Singapore in Feb this year.

Around August, I rallied myself up and decided to try for UK visa again. Read up this travel section of nairaland from part one. My account was still a mess, but I made sure I got as many support documents as possible.
Also, I intend to travel with my baby, so I made sure I had enough savings. And because of travel expenses for 2, and my plan to travel in December, our expenses was about 10 times my disposable income, but I have savings.
With my heart in hand, I applied for both of us, and we got our 6 months visa alerts!!!

Timeline:
Online submission: 29 Sep
Biometrics: 16 Oct
Application arrival at UKVI: 21 Oct
Message that applications were taken longer than usual: 3 Nov
Message of successful application: 4 Nov

I did regular application at Ikeja, Lagos.

Documents submitted:
Myself: employment letter, promotion letter, 5 months pay slips, 5 months acc statement.with cover letter and support documents for deposits other than my salary and cover letter
Previous Refusal letters, acc statements used then and a cover letter as well as support documents for those credits.
My savings account, hotel booking from booking.com, printout of the cheapest flights on Ethiopian airline, detailed travel itinerary for 10 days
My daughter birth certificate, and other related birth docs.
Land/house deeds

For my daughter: letter from her school that she will be traveling with her mother during the school holidays, school fees, precious exams results.
Her birth certificate, affidavit that I am her sole and legal parent, consent/sponsor letter from me that I consent for her to travel with me and that I will sponsor her travel, all my employment docs, travel itineraries.

I almost cancelled the plan to apply when I saw our travel expenditures. I marine having disposable income of N300k, and planning to spend more than N2m. But I have savings of about N12m, and I kept referring to it in my cover letter, that they should consider my savings and that I can comfortably afford the holidays and still come back home to enough money to continue take care of myself and daughter.

The reason for my previous refusal was low savings and disproportionate trip cost. I showed how that has changed with my current savings that comfortably covers the trip, plus my travel history.

I am single. My job was my major home tie.

I can’t really guide you on exactly what to write since I don’t know the reasons for your refusals. If you share the exact reasons, people here can guide you better.

2/ if I want to address three refusals reasons in a paragraph in the refused letter, do I need to list them out, before addressing them one by one.

Please which letter did you use to address the 2023 visa denied and how did you wrote it.

In my case this is where I have problem, in my last application the eco said is not satisfied with how I address the previous visa refusals, please kindly guide me on am going to write it in my next application to the satisfied of the eco.

2/ Are you single or married, because you did not list any family documents in the summited documents

The passport has been received. I got the tourist visa. Validity- 45 days with multiple entry.

1) I have no idea of which day they release appointment slot. It was not hard for me to get appointment as people usually complain here. I got appointment immediately i registered on TLS website and i was given a date 3 weeks from the day i booked

2) I have no Idea about this as my visa type is different

I got my visa today and I'm also sharing how the process went since this thread was really helpful to me.

- Type: Short stay business visa first time traveller, single entry
- Validity: 3 weeks ~
- Appointment date: Monday March 30
- Transferred to consulate: Tuesday March 31st
- Approval date on visa: Wednesday 15th April
- Ready for collection date: Friday 17th April
- Picked up at TLS on Monday 20th April

It still showed "In process" on the tls website even after Wednesday 15th which was 10/11 working days from submission.
On Thursday 16th I emailed the consulate and got no reply, on Friday 17th I emailed the consulate again and also tls contact asking about the status.

I still did not get any reply sha but around 12pm, my tracker moved from "In Process" to "Passport returning from consulate" and by around 2pm it was ready for pickup, but they close by 3pm and I would not meet up, so I went on Monday for collection.

I do not know if it is because I emailed them I was able to get it back early, or it would have been ready anyway, but yeah that was my timeline.

Sorry, but there’s nothing more to do at the moment. Please pause for now.

Unfortunately, it appears the requests are not being communicated clearly enough, and your written English is also contributing to the misunderstandings. As a result, any British ECOs reviewing your applications will struggle to interprete or understand what you are asking, and may decide not to engage further.

For example, in this NEW refusal letter, they set out multiple reasons for their decision. However, you stated that it happened because you did not write a letter about your previous refusals. That’s not true.

For this reason, it’s best to stop the continuous applications until the requirements are clearly understood, 3 refusals for her, 6 for you … leave the UK alone as your circumstances do not support repeated requests.

I hate to say this, but the level of desperation here is becoming too much. Overwhelmingly too much. Please let these people be for now.

It also isn’t fair to put your family through repeated refusals already, and then to plan for more next week.
We on this thread also deserve some respite. It can’t be the same process repeated week after week. We are all adults.

I said I wrote letter to address last refusals, but the eco said they were not satisfied.

I am asking the house to put me through,how to write the letter that will satisfied the eco in the next application.

If the written of the letter is solve,the remaining two reasons are also easy to solve,if you read the refusal letter I pasted above, you will see that my family was refused for three reasons. That is the area I want you to contribute way forward not asking us to stopped struggling for progress.pls go and the read before passing

Sorry, I replied based on what you wrote here and didn’t read the attached letter. From the refusal letter, the reasons for refusal were clearly stated. I would advise you to pause further applications for sometime and work on correcting those issues first. Continuous reapplication without addressing them may appear as desperation to them.

Sorry about the refusal.

1. Someone earning ₦3 million annually is not expected to be going on vacation unless there is strong financial backing. For a 2-week trip, the expected spending should usually not exceed about 3 months of income, which in this case is around ₦750k. That amount may not even cover a flight ticket, except there is a sponsor who is genuinely related to you and can support the trip.

2. You also did not clearly specify your itinerary. They expected you to mention the exact places you intended to visit for sightseeing and your planned activities during the trip.

My wife and my daughter was refused again base on the following meaningless three reasons

1) they said they don't understand how we calculated the annual income of 3m which is 250k income per month and it was pay to her account every month.

meanwhile we submitted business receipts that show how we got the income as source of income.

2) they said they were not satisfied on how we address reasons for previous visa refusals .

But We submitted letter to clarify previous visa refusals ,maybe the eco did not read it

3) they said we didn't specify tour place to be visit

But we stated on the visa application form that this trip is for vacation and sightseeing,pls what is the meaning of sightseeing, is t not to visit interesting places

Pls what can be done because I want to challenge the eco on this meaningless reasons, I have send PAP letter to home office,hoping for positive reply

How can we write the letter to address previous visa refusals that we satisfied the the eco, because I didn't no maybe they have their format. Because the one we wrote was not satisfied them.

This morning when I tried to verify my CAC certificate and my wife CAC certificate on the public search of CAC site, the response was no record found,it was stated that they were undergoing site updated and mentainance.meanwhile, my family just submitted there application last week and I am the sponsor.even early this month I still verify our CAC on public search site and it show our records

My question is,if the eco want to verify an applicant CAC do they have another way to verify it, apart from using public search website which was temporary down.

If it's Naira, it's insignificant and there's nothing to worry about.

After the submission of my wife and my daughter applications and I am the sponsor of there applications. I later looked through my wife statement of account I saw a transfer of #2000 from my business account to my wife salary account that was submitted,there no way I can write a letter to explain that it's for recharge card, cos they have blocked uploading after biometrics, I hope this transfer will not cause red flag

Please i want to know if it is a must to upload the stamped version of your account statement or one can upload the online-genarated version of the bank statement which is not stamped.

I ask because banks nowadays will print your statement but some of the pages will be illegible. The downloadble versions are usually without blemish.

Kindly advise if i can use the downloaded version of the statement pls.
