The impeached Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, on Tuesday, took to the streets of Lagos, drawing cheers from a large number of supporters.

The development comes just a day after security forces took over the state House of Assembly complex in a controversial manner.

Obasa, who was removed from office on January 13 over allegations of financial misappropriation, among others, appeared undeterred by his impeachment.

A video posted by Journalist Oseni Rufai shows him moving confidently, acknowledging cheers from supporters.

It can be recalled that on Monday, armed operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Police stormed the Lagos State House of Assembly, in a move many saw the move as an attempt to reinstate Obasa. They took control of key areas of the complex, including the Speaker’s office and the Clerk’s office. Lawmakers, staff, and visitors were blocked from entering.

Despite the security blockade, members of the Assembly were later able to hold a session. During the sitting, lawmakers condemned what they described as an attack on democracy. They criticized the presence of security forces, questioning the motive behind the invasion.

In response to the Assembly takeover, the lawmakers unanimously passed a vote of confidence in the new Speaker, Mojisola Meranda. They reaffirmed their support for her leadership and condemned any external interference in the affairs of the legislative arm of government. Following this resolution, the House adjourned indefinitely.

There was no committee set by the assembly members to investigate the allegations neither was there any invite for him to defend himself. They just wake up one morning impeach and replace him and expect him to accept without a fight back. If you accuse a person of corruption present your evidences if he is unable to defend himself then remove him.

Obasa did a lot for the people of Agege, most people do not know that the reason why the commissioner's list was first rejected by the assembly was because it did not include the name of anybody from Agege. Apart from development he brought to his people, he is always out there fighting for us. Since govt cannot employ everybody, there are families our there that Obasa is responsible for there up keep, from rent to school fees, to feeding. I am not a politician o, but I know he is a good man, and he is representing us well and I am super proud of him.

I am not a mechanic so I am not familiar with those your terms, but I am certain the car is a c230 and not a c200 like you claim so I have Google search picture of a 2003 c200 engine and attach here for you to compare both engines. And also screen shot of another c230 2005 for you to see similarities with my advert
