You are NOT a Christian. No genuine Christian would see the various atrocities being perpetuated by this government and would wish things to continue. You have to be a devil's incarnate to wish such. I am Christian and my support is for Buhari. Rareantagonist: Brethren, This is a desperate and urgent call from the throne of Grace that the brethren in Christ are about to make the greatest error of their lives by selling off their kingly heritage for a mess of pottage called "change". Change into what? Change into what happened to Egypt , Sudan, Lybia, Algeria and Turkey which were once flourishing Christian countries but because the brethren there also sold their souls on the premise of "it does not matter" they became the last set of Christians in those countries! Remember Turkey! It was the beautiful Christian country called Constantinople! Today it is history! The foundation of the planned islamisation of Nigeria was taken in 1989 in Abuja by OIC. Since then they have not looked back! Our Government gave them a contribution of 21 billion dollars then! Wonder then where the funding of boko Haram is coming from? They have painfully now infiltrated one of the biggest denominations in Nigeria and offered one of their best Pastors -a Professor,a Vice presidential Slot! Now a larger community of that denomination now promotes this "change"! They did it in Constantinople ! Remember brethren, that the biggest denomination of Christians in the North - the EYN has been wiped off! All their churches burnt. You may say that it is the North it can't get here! They said the same thing in Sudan, Libya, Algeria and Constantinople! How come the brethren have become so dulled in the Spirit that they no longer are sensitive? We may be the last Christians in Nigeria if this grave error the brethren is about to commit is not averted! Our Lord Jesus is greatly miffed by our irresponsibilit y as His Followers! How come we no longer hear Him! The Great shepherd of the Sheep! How come that Christians have forgotten that this country was made ungovernable by these same people and Christians are holding the wrong person responsible? How come? The signs of the eventual Islamization of Nigeria are awash in the 1999 constitution where Islam, Sharia are mentioned more than 100 times.! Not a single mention of Christ or Christianity! You say it does not matter. Now, mark it you cannot amend the constitution without a bitter progrom! Brethren, the night is here! We must contend for the faith and our heritage which was handed once and for all to us by our maker! Don't relent, sound this trumpet....We will not be the last Christians in Nigeria! Amen. |

Nawa for you guys ooo. Was Buhari in power in September, 1985. Young man, Buhari was head of state between Dec, 1983 and Aug, 1985. You TAN guys have resorted to fighting dirty with unfounded allegations having realised that there was no way Jonathan was going to win on MERIT. 1. GEJ uttered worst statements than --" I would stabilize oil price"during his 2011 campaign, particularly during Dbanj's kangaroo interview. We can revisit that if you want to go that way. 2. I do not hate as a Christian, however, I refused to be stupid and not see GEJ for the fraud that he is. 3. If think security is the only aspect GEJ has failed, then I believe am wasting my time rubbing mind with you. How about corruption? Even GEJ himself admitted to have led us for 5 years without an anti-corruption plan. How about education? the series of marathon strikes which reminded us of the Abacha days. How about infrastructure? Would any government serious about providing infrastructure earmark about 90% on maintaining the government and a paltry 14% on social infrastructure? 4. List out the irrigation projects and verify them online. Simple. 5. If GEJ knew the promises were unrealistic, why did you make people vote for you based on unrealistic promises? Guess, there is a word for that --FRAUD. I was only taking him up based on the target he sets for himself and not even based on what I expect of him. If he could not even score 10% on the exam he sets for himself, then he must be so hopeless. 6. How does FIB relates to running a non-discriminating government? Everyone, but you knows GEJ is the most divisive president we have ever had. 7. On alimajeri school idea, that was really dumb. If you are conversant with the north, these guys have never really lacked good schools (infrastructure wise) but good teachers and poor enrolment. In fact, some of the state governments pay these pupils and students just to encourage them to go school. Suffice to infer that the project does not in any way address the educational need of the north, and has been a total waste of public funds. Honestly, GEJ's extra 4 years as president is a calamity that well-meaning Nigerians should not allow to happen. J12: Judging by his utterances during his campaigns, any intelligent human being can honestly tell that he doesn’t grasp with the ideas of modern governance and economics. You fail by saying that GEJ has failed in all aspects. You’re either blinded by hate or like most Nigerians, you don’t understand how government and the economy works. Apart from the security challenges facing the north, GEJ has not performed bad as president in an African country. His manifesto? The transformation in the agric sector, the transport sector and the economy in general must continue. That’s the manifesto! |

You are not Buhari and neither are you part of his economic team. It would be largely unfair to judge him when you have not given him the opportunity to lead as democratically elected president. Jonathan has had 5 years and had failed woefully in all aspect. Additionally, you seem to be making the same mistake with GEJ, if you & GEJ want another 4 years for the latter, you guys should campaign base on well laid-out manifesto on what you would do in the next 4 years and not on campaign of calumny & character assassination. You guys should also explain to electorates what you have done so far on the campaign promises you made 4 years ago. J12: GEJ hasn't really performed bad contrary to opposing beliefs. Given the present circumstances and conditions of events in the country and the world at large, I honestly believe that GEJ has done better than his predecessors.
Most of the infrastructure projects are tied down because the required funding needed to develop them are not available. Government is seeking to procure them through a public private partnership model and this requires due process, which takes some time. We don't expect government to solely fund all infrastructure projects in the country, thats suicidal. We should give this government a second chance, so that they can consolidate on foundations they have laid during the past four years.
Buhari doesn't look like someone who believes in private sector participation in social infrastucture development, he is someone who wants the federal government (himself) to be sole financiers and owners of everything that affects our national life. This is not feasible in a democratic and capitalist regime.
Buhari (if voted in) will totally destroy all that has been done since 1999. He may revoke all power and electricity contracts, remove vital institutions setup to facilitate the development of key sectors and industries and subsequently throw the country into chaos.
This is not what we want. Let us vote wisely. |

Do you understand the concept of project scope and timing? For Pete's sake, most of the items on that list had time line, and some were set for 2011 & 2012. Additionally, if the use of words to describe these promises ranges from complete, deliver, etc, why do you have several ongoing, inconclusive, developmental stage, etc against the items on the list? I think it's only fair to rate him to have failed to deliver
Let's discuss some of the items you assessed as done--
9. To raise power generation to about 4,747 mega watts by December 2011. (Done). Was power generation 4,747MW as at Dec, 2011? Is power generation anywhere closer to 3000MW 4 years later done? If the answers are NO, who would you in good faith assess this item as done?.
31. To boost agriculture through irrigation. (Done) How? Can you list out the various irrigation projects implemented?
41. To run all inclusive government without discrimination. (Done). How? Every decent person knows this is a lie
34. To establish at least one Federal University in each state of the federation by the end of 2012. (Done) How many universities were established and how many states do we have in Nigeria? This idea sucks by the way; build a university in each of the 36 states?
38. To give 35% of political appointment at both ministerial and ambassadorial levels to women. (Done) Do we have 35% women representation? Honestly, if Mr President failed to 100% deliver on a promise that doesn't require a kobo to fulfil, how would he deliver on promises that require huge resources. 42. To conduct a free and fair election. (Done so well) Not many would agree with you on this?
1. To revive the rail way system in the country. (Done). I would rate him average on this. I am not in the least impressed with the quality trains used, having used train facility in other developed and developing nations.
36. To revamp Almajiri system of education. (Done) I would rate him high in the delivery. But really, is that what the educational system in the north need? How difficult is it to build low budget mushroom class rooms across 13 States over 4 years. Any local builder could have done that in few months. |
Politics › Re: GEJ Campaign Promises In 2011 by goshen(op): 11:20pm On Jan 09, 2015 |
Like seriously!!! Do you want us to go through that list one after the other? The only item on that list that has been met is -- the Almajeri schools. And I would ask you-- what is, and what has been the significant of those schools? Is that really what they need in the north? If you know the north very well, you would know that they have always had good schools, but low enrolment. So why build more schools that would not be patronised when you can work to address poor enrolment rate in the existing schools? Common, Goddex, I believe you can do better than this. If you claimed that they have been met, I would be glad you list out the specific projects in place they have addressed/or is addressing each of the items on that list. Goddex: Most of these promises have either been met or ongoing |

I would be glad to consider casting my vote for GEJ if you would objectively assess his performance as president over the last 5 years. I am most willing to put aside my issue with his clue.less demeanour if his scorecard is anything about 10%.
1. To revive the rail way system in the country. 2. To complete lagos to Jebba rail project 3. Government has budgeted 50b naira for job development and infrastructure. 4. To modernize the ports. 5. To complete the second River Niger Bridge before the expiration of the tenure. 6. To deliver stable, constant supply of by the year 2015. 7. To ensure that Nigerian do not use generators more than two times in a week. 8. To construct more dams to build more hydro-power stations. 9. To raise power generation to about 4,747 mega watts by December 2011. 10. To put an end to epileptic power supply in the country just as fuel queues at petrol stations were ended. 11. To work with the private sector and all the relevant agencies to stimulate industrial growth. 12. To introduce 5-year term budgeting 13. To diversify the economy. 14. I would take you TAN guys seriously when you show any country with fantastic employment figures during recession. In fact, in the mild recession we had recently most companies, especially banks went on firing spree. Secondly, there is a great deal of difference between unemployment rate and graduate employment rate. The fact that graduate employment rate in a year stood at 77% does not imply that the general unemployment rate was any close to that. Honestly, comparing employment figures of 1983 with 2015 is NOT wise path to thread. You guys would be arguing from a losing position. Sunnybobo3: Sunday Times, February 17, 1985.
Out of 92,116 graduates (including Nigerians who studied abroad and HND holders) who graduated in 1983, only 21,026 were able to secure jobs as at 1985.
Worse is that fact that out of the 20 % employed, the public sector employed 85% While the private sector employed a paltry 15%. One wonders how the economy survived then?

He left $43 bn in there right? And oil price was as low as $60, Gej should tell us what he achieved when oil was $145 and the benchmark rate was about $70.
Gej should tell us why we have witness a 30% decline in our currency ( forget the rubbish 13% PDP paid hawks are quoting, just do the math yourself) just because there is a decline in global prices of crude. Why was there not a sharp increase in the value of the naira when oil price was high but there is a decline when it is low.
Gej and Noi should tell us why they did not apply the laws of gravity and or diminishing returns when we were enjoying usually high prices.
Gej and Noi should tell us what they have done with the extra 27 naira on each litres of fuel sold in the country. Why do we still have no functional refinery?
Gej and Noi should tell why no one has been arrested for subsidy scam yet they tell us everyday there is scam in fuel subsidy. |

Something tells me Amaechi may deliver Rivers to APC. swiz005: Governor Amaechi melted our hearts with words yesterday. Read and become inspired... "I am here to test my popularity. They have made too much noise. The President says we exist only on posters and billboards. So, we brought a large billboard for him. If the President is not watching (the rally) they will give him security report. This stadium is 40,000 sitting capacity; I built it, It was built by me. One of them campaigning for governorship was the contractor to do the roads. He abandoned the roads and took N3 billion and left, and now he wants to be governor. A thief will not be our governor! I challenge them to an integrity test. Any of them from Abuja to Rivers State, I challenge them to an integrity test. I have worked with them; I have their records and they (records) are in the Office of the Governor. I challenge any of them to performance. In 50 years, all the state governments put together plus council chairmen; they built six classroom blocks, but in seven years I have built 20 classroom blocks. We have developed 715 megawatts of electricity, but the problem is Federal Government allowing us to distribute electricity. They don't want you to have electricity. Vote them out! We were to give Port Harcourt water; as I am talking to you today, the Minister of Finance has refused to move the file again back to the Executive Council for approval so that you can have water. They don’t care for you; they want you to die of water-borne diseases. Punish them with your votes; punish PDP with your votes. They say He (Jonathan) is our son, then why can’t we have ordinary water? The problem we have is that the EFCC is no longer working. Corruption is at its industrial scale. Thieves are thieves because we now have an industry called corruption. They said the reason why the President is not performing in Rivers State is because, he is quarreling with the governor of Rivers State. Okay, what is the quarrel between the Governor of Akwa Ibom and the Governor of Cross River that the road from Akwa Ibom to Cross River is abandoned. Are they quarreling too? It is more of lack of performance. So, if the President says it is because he is quarreling with me, was he quarreling with me in 2012 when he took our oil wells, was he quarreling with me? He (Jonathan) took our oil wells in Kalabari areas. He took the whole of Soku; he went to Etche; he took 41 oil wells and he wants Etche people to vote for him. I am waiting for the election. He wants Kalabari people to vote for him. This is to show you that he doesn’t care. Even the Riverine people, he says he won’t give them governor that they should go to hell! Today when the President spoke in Benin, he spoke in a stadium that was less than 20,000. When TAN held their rally in Port Harcourt, they held it at the 16,000 capacity stadium and this was a South-South rally. The rally in Benin was South-South; the rally in Port Harcourt was South-South. This one (APC mega rally) is Port Harcourt rally. I urge Rivers people to embrace APC and vote out PDP in 2015 general elections. So therefore, APC is the solution to protect our interests. We must go there to vote out the PDP. It is not about our son or he is our brother. They tell you that you should not vote for these people (Buhari et al) because they are Hausa people or because they are Muslims. But the refinery in Rivers was built and commissioned by Tafawa Balewa; he is a northerner and also a muslim. Shagari started NAFCON, IBB commissioned, IBB started the Eleme Petrochemical, Abacha completed. They are all northerners; they are all muslims. NLNG was started and completed by Abacha, and he is a northerner and a Muslim. Bonny NLNG, NDDC, Niger Delta Ministry and so many others were established by northerners and muslims. What has a Christian done for us? In fact, when Yar’Adua was alive, Niger Delta Ministry was working, now, it is only one item; East-West Road and they say he (President Jonathan) is our brother. He is not my brother; my brother is the man who delivers on his services |

This man of God just earned my respect (not that it's worth anything anyway, ) esantex: 2015 Elections: Papa Adeboye's Top Man, Pastor Kalejaiye, Drops Bombshell
In his most recent column for Saturday Sun titled Press Clips, veteran Nigerian journalist Mike Awoyinfa chronicled Redeemed Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye’s explosive sermon last Sunday in which he appeared to be canvassing support for the APC Buhari-Osinbajo ticket come February 2015. In his message, Pastor Adeboye’s close confidant and touted to be among the favourites to one day take over Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG) predicted ‘there would be a pleasant surprise in 2015 elections’, telling congregants to ‘go and mark it’. Sounding angry with the way Nigeria is going, Pastor Kalejaiye, regional evangelist of RCCG fumed: “Of what use is my brother, my blood brother who is not going to move the nation forward? And you want me to vote for him because he is my brother? Don’t let us deceive ourselves.” “What are we saying? Let’s call a spade a spade, brethren.Things cannot continue this way. Corruption is the order of the day. You can steal and nothing will follow. That’s all… Brethren, if you don’t do something, something will do you. Wake up!” He continued, “We have to change our system… Who is a Christian? Who is a Muslim? When I was working somewhere, my boss was a Muslim. I enjoyed under him. My boss provoked me to study further. My boss was always after my welfare. It shall be well him wherever he is today. He is a Muslim. The soldier attached to me was with me for almost 15 years. I never knew he was a Muslim. The day he opened his mouth to say “Sir, I am Muslim,” I said “What? But you follow me to the camp. You do this, you do that.” He said that when it was time to pray he would pray. “Brethren, wake up! Who is a Christian? That somebody goes to church doesn’t make him a Christian. That somebody bears Christian name doesn’t make him a Christian. You are a Christian yet there is no employment for our youths. People who should be feeding their parents are still being fed by their parents. How many youths can get married today without the support of their parents financially? During our own time, we did our wedding, we only called our parents to come and eat. Today, our children who are 35, we are still feeding them." It looks like the message of CHANGE is really spreading fast! |

Another way to look at it. If Buhari garnered over 12 million votes without the support of a single state Governor and the support of other well structured parties like ACN. Obviously, GEJ has no fighting chance this time around. The truth is, most cabinet members of GEJ who are sincere with themselves, are fully aware the game is up for the clue.less one. Unfortunately for Nigerians, these ones are presently pre-occupied with siphoning more money to last them till eternity. Ikengawo: 12 million Nigerians would have to change their mind about GEJ (roughly 25% of all registered voters) for Buhari to TIE with Jonathan. I can tell you from my own perspective I voted for Ribadu in the last election because I was naive and young enough to believe in the Obasanjo anti-corruption gimmick. This year I'm bringing people that don't vote to the polls with me to take a stand against violence and intimidation in politics be it riots boko haram and other treasonable acts.
I like the professionalization of the Nigerian government that GEJ has brought about. Our ministers are world leaders in their fields, agriculture is booming, power is reformed and privatized, elections are reformed fair and free, 21 auto manufactures are setting up in Nigeria. In 2020 we will be tied with the US for auto manufacturing and assembly brands in our country. Can you imagine?

Ring SA and follow up on your application. Did they give you a TRN no? I think so, my case officer provided a ref number in his earlier corresondence with me. I actually sent him - more like a follow up mail, but the guy "no gree" reply oo. I don't want appear so desperate by sending reminders. What do you think? |

ferdimako: Okay. So Embassy never asked you to deposit to the school before visa approval? Thanks! It's advisable you even make the deposit, without which no school is gonna issue you a CoE; which is a pre-requisite for SVP. I would advise you contact your school on the correct deposit required to be issued a CoE. And to answer your question. No, the embassy would not require you to make any deposit, but that would imply that would treat your visa application as level 3-4, which would extend your visa processing time |
