Hello peeps. I must confess; I am missing this thread like say tomorrow no dey. Been a long time. Yeah but thats because I have been having some hyper-hard times which took away my lovely phone (*sobs*). But anyway, God always knows how to turn our loss to gain. For now, I have got a phone in the mechano-compuphone shop and soon, I will be back online. The best part: I have got gôödnews.

Are u applying to MSU? if so, how are you going to send your transcripts? through email or by courier? Because they said in their website that they don't accept scanned docs......

I understand some people would like to know about USAP, I almost became a member in 2013 but because of my family's move from abuja to Owerri I couldn't keep up.

I can remember saying some things about USAP some months ago on this thread. it is really great and I advice those that have people that will apply next year to MCFSP to apply to it cos the program will take care of your SAT and possibly TOEFL registration at no cost. I applied to it this year and though I don't really know my stand now but atleast I was told to come around to their office next week in Lagos. I sense goodies on the way.

These three universities: UCB, DUKE AND STANFORD, I Love them and would love it if I get any of them but I never wan dig into them because the application process is long, complicated, different and the app. website gives lots of error and logout issues when accessing dem thru ma phone. Am even surprised that nobody talks about them here but I think they are really good schools......Is anybody also taking SAT subject tests ie sat 11 here?

Being away for quite a long time now both from this thread and MCF scholarship application but am happy to be back.....yesterday was my bday and I expect u guys to show some love oh.....This UBC application form na confusion itself. Even after the conversion to doc file, the spaces to fill the details are placed in an absurd manner ie so congested...... Chris, when did u say u are taking ur SAT cos I can remember u saying October and also, have u laid hands on any past questions or practice questions?

purplekayc: Go to fedora website and request for cd /dvd of their latest operating system software.Tthey give out free every month all you have to do is fill out a form and you can either request for a cd or dvd in either 32bit (x86) or 64bit (x64).

flavour of linux on an
old laptop and I have
decided to go for linux
mint 13 xfce but the
problem is that the size
of the iso image is too
large (up to 820mb)
and i doubt any of
nigerian network will be
fast enough to
download it and even if
it fast, i dont have cash
now to subscribe for a
plan. So I want to know
whether it is possible to
get these my choice of
linux flavour that is
already burned into a
cd or dvd at a minimal
cost or from someone
who already used it or
does not need it
anymore or from
someone who is kind
enough to help a
brother in
need....besides, am new
to linux and this laptop
happen to be my first
laptop and i will also
love a guide or a link to
the guide for
dualbootin it with
windows 7. I live in

How do one do the conversion, i am not computer savvy...my major is electrical and computer engineering and if there is choice of minor, i will go for political science or international relations if possible....

My suggestion: for me, i have known permanent address as your hometown address or the address of your permanent residence like fathers house which can not change and thats what i write although in this applications, i have been using my tempory address as my permanent address reason being that my perm. Is so remote and i doubt it can be located....then, i see temp. Address as address as your present residence which can also be your perm. Address if you live there presently and it is where you will be recievin your mails, so make sure it can be located and you know the postal code of the area.....thats my take on address issue....finally, i think msu requires both sat and toefl and even if they dont make it compulsory or make it optional, my dear, take and include them oh, because it certainly can increase your chance of being admitted or gettin the scholarship especially wen you score high in them ...thanks

Ok, by the way, those usap people called with their mind blowing follow up questions; questions that can set your brains on fire, my name na answer but anyhow, am still expectin their message maybe this week. Just believe it will be their final conclusion and it will be for good.

My physics teacher is good, she promised to help me before the acad. Session closed but once school re-opens, i will get her contacts and details, other of my science teachers are there and i plan on meetin some of them who my spirit accept....what do you think if i use an english teacher also?

Btw did you provide emails for your recommenders for ASU, because just like you, they should get an email immediately you submitted the application.

I provided their email in the application and One of recieved the email and working on it while the other person have not even checked his mailbox but i know that they will definitely meet up before the deadline....im be like say na magic wey de behind this...the officials wey i know wella for my school have been changed oh...principal-removed, vice principal admin- transfered, vice principal academics-transfered, G.counselor- i no understand her package, i no even know whether she still de d school and besides, i no de close to her for one day....ife uwa ahala ka ehi

Sorry for the alert, i think i have figured it out now...i was sent the email but i forgot that it was sent, just discovered it.

chrisviral: Copies of transcript and exam results should be mailed to them.
Once your through with the online application, then submit it, you will get a mail to your email specifying how and where you should send the transcripts and exam results.

chrisviral: It's better and saves you the trouble, if you just mail mcfsdocs@msu.edu and ask them for the form.

I emailed them and dis is what they replied:
