It was indeed an interesting match today as Messi scored a goal with two goal assist to R. Paul and L. Martinez to demolish Ecuador in the Copa America 2021.

Ecuador was exceptional and according to some live scores sites, had even more game possessions than Argentina. But then, you can't underestimate a team with a GOAT like Messi on their side. He single handedly ensured that Argentina scored 3 goals which saw them beat Ecuador smoothly. However Ecuador was unable to return the favor and couldn't convert their brilliant play into goals. Final score was 3:0

Now, Argentina will proceed to Semi finals and will be playing with Columbia for a place at the finals. he United Kingdom through its Head of Communications, British High Commissioner, Mr Dean Hurlock, has said it will definitely seek for clarification from the Federal Government of Nigeria on the legality of the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra. Barely a day after NATO with Ukraine, an ally of NATO
began Black Sea military drills and exercises called Sea
Breeze 2021, Russia reveals that it has tested the new
Crimean air defence systems as a show of force and
readiness of its air defence systems in Crimea.

Russia was reported to have deployed about 20 warplanes and helicopters, including Su-24M bombers, S-400 and
Pantsir surface-to-air missile systems in the military
tests, Interfax reported on Tuesday, citing Russia’s Black Sea fleet. However, It is not still clear when the tests actualky took place.

“The Black Sea Fleet is doing a number of things to
monitor the actions of ships from NATO and other
countries taking part in Sea Breeze 2021,” the National
Defence Management Centre reportedly said in a
statement.


Russia had aggressively kicked against the military
exercises, which have taken place 21 times since 1997,
calling for it to be cancelled and the Russian defence
ministry has said it will react swiftly if need be to ensure national security and protection of its sovereignty.


Sea Breeze 2021, which began this Monday, will last for
two weeks and involve about 5,000 military personnel
from NATO member states and other allies of the
transatlantic security alliance. The United States Marine
Corps will take part, alongside....

The Federal Government has said that the amount spent
on subsidising electricity monthly in Nigeria is now about
N30bn. It revealed that the government’s subsidy on
electricity had been reduced by N20bn monthly following
the improvements in the collection of power tariffs from
Nigerians by distribution companies. The amount monthly
was initially over 50 billion naira.


The government stated this in a document on the
progress and overview of Nigeria’s power sector. In
February of this year, the Minister of Power, Sale
Mamman, revealed that the Federal Government was
actually subsidizing electricity supply across the country to
the tune of over N50bn monthly. He at that time,
explained that the subsidy spending was necessary
because the government was concerned and deeply
worried by the multiple complaints by average Nigerians
over the inevitable and and uncontrolled periodic increase
in the cost of electricity tariffs.

He said the subsidy funds were made available to
augment theshortfall by the power distribution companies
who had failed in their duty to defray the cost of bulk
electricity supplied to them by the generating companies.
