Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel was the esteemed guest at the double celebration of 50th Birthday and first marriage anniversary of The President, Grace Family Global Outreach, Reverend Patrick Henry Edet held today Saturday 30th March 2019 at Ibom Hall, IBB Avenue, Uyo.

Governor Emmanuel congratulated Rev. Edet for making it to the golden age and commended him for impacting on the younger generation through his Ministry.

Vice president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and outgoing senate president, Bukola Saraki pictured today at Body of Benchers Event in Abuja. The House of Reps speaker, Yakubu Dogara and other dignitaries were also present.

A man identified as Emeka Joseph Ozoekweh aka Emmyjoe, and his wife have died, hours after attending a wedding ceremony in Umuozu, Uratta, Abia State.

Their housemaid, who is the only survivor, is current receiving medical attention in a hospital in Abia.

Emmyjoe was said to be the Secretary of the Timber Dealers Association in Abia State. It was gathered that the couple had chaired the wedding and when they were going, they were handed a takeaway pack. .

It was learnt that they went home and ate the food with their maid. Neighbors got to know about their death when their neighbours in the market complained that they have been calling them while their phones rang without any response.

It was at that point that some of the neigbhours used ladder to climb into their compound, only to discover their bodies and that of their maid who was eventually taken to the hospital for treatment.

Their corpses have been deposited in a mortuary pending an autopsy to determine whether their death was as a result of food poison as being speculated.

This life is funny o: Timrin Nankur yesterday confessed to raping a seven months pregnant lady in Wase local government area of Plateau state near a stream.

The woman's little children rushed to inform the villagers but before they came back, Timrin after raping the woman had already pushed the woman into the stream where she drowned. She died leaving her husband and two children. One word for Timrin..........

Reports reaching us today, 16/3/19 says early this morning, residents of Angbok Nandu, in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State were heavily attacked.

The attack, which took place around 2:30am was said to be carried out by people suspected to be Fulani militia. 8 people were killed, including a baby, many wounded and several houses and property destroyed. This situation has now left the village completely razed.

Heavy gunfire was said to be heard, which threw the whole community into pandemonium.

Southern Kaduna Christians have in the past weeks come under series of attack since the last pronouncement of governor El'rufai of Kaduna State on a purported attack on Fulani in Kajuru.

Troops of 72 Special Forces Battalion Makurdi, deployed at Yelwata, in Guma LGA which is a Border town between Benue and Nasarawa State while on patrol along Road Yelwata-Kadarko to monitor post election activities in that axis had an encounter with some suspected armed robbers in the early hours of today the 15th of March 2019.

The suspected armed robbers were dressed in military desert camouflage and robbing motorists along the road. However, the gallant troops of the Battalion engaged the robbers in a gun battle which resulted in the elimination of one of the armed robbers during the encounter, while others took to their heels.

Items recovered include :
a. One locally made rifle.
b. Three rounds of 7.62MM special ammunition.
c. One empty case of7.62MM Special ammunition.

Similarly , some cultists who have been terrorising the North-Bank general area in Makurdi metropolis were arrested by Intelligent Operatives of 72 Special Forces Battalion deployed within the town to monitor post election activities. The suspects are Mr Shuaibu Sale, Mr Umar Sule and Mr Idris Bawa. Items recovered from them incude:
a. One locally made revolver pistol.
b. One round of 9mm
c. A poly bag containing weeds suspected to be Indian Hemp.

Members of the Public are reminded to be security conscious at all times and enjoined to report any suspicious activities of or movements of individuals or groups to the nearest law enforcement agents for prompt action.

During the periods of the 2019 General elections, Nigerian Army (NA) supported the Civil Police to ensure a secure and peaceful conduct of the elections across the nation. Despite pockets of crisis witnessed in few states, the election was conducted in a secure and peaceful atmosphere.

To achieve this, the NA in conjunction with other security agencies struggled to checkmate criminals, kidnappers, political thugs, ballot box snatchers from having a field day to perpetuate their selfish illegal activities, in some instances at the detriment of soldiers' lives as witnessed in Abonema and Andoni in Rivers State.

Specific instances abound where kidnappers and other hooligans were intercepted by the personnel of the NA in many parts of Nigeria. For example, around Everyday Super Market in Owerri , Imo State, 4 impostors in military uniform (Woodland camouflage), - Mr Chinedu Odogwu, ,Longinus Okelue , Oguzie Princewell and Kelvin Samalia were arrested while escorting a prominent female politicians in a political party vehicle.
This development further reaffirmed NA's earlier warning to members of the public of the activities of some unscrupulous individuals that sponsored thugs to depend and further their selfish political objectives.

Accordingly, 34 Brigade troops on Operation SAFE CONDUCT deployed around Osisioma junction, Abia State also arrested Mr Allwell Enwereji and five others conveying already thumb printed ballot papers in his vehicle.

On questioning, he claimed the ballot papers were specimens for campaign. Investigation is on to ascertain the culpability of the suspects.

Similarly, troops on patrol around power plant substation Odukpani LGA, in Cross River State rescued Mr Authur Nkama who was earlier kidnapped at Ikot Ansa, in Calabar Municipal Area Council, Cross River State.

Troops also intercepted and arrested suspected ballot box snachers at Airforce junction near Ngor Okpala LGA in Imo State on the 9th of March 2019. On sighting the troops, the suspects abandoned their vehicle and run into the bush. Items recovered included one Sienna Bus, one pump action gun with 11 live cartridge, voters cards and assorted ATMs bearing different names.

In another development, troops also rescued INEC Staff abducted by hoodlums at Ohafia Technical College in Anna Village in Abia State on the 9th of March 2019. Four of the suspects have been arrested while efforts are on to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang.The suspects have been handed over to the police for further action.

Similarly, five political thugs were nabbed at Lokpanta, on the 9th of March 2019 while on thier way to disrupt election in Lekwesi community in Abia State. Items recovered from them include camouflage trousers, daggers and assorted charms.

Accordingly, below are some pictures of specific incidents across some states that if allowed could have caused serious security breaches across the nation. Some of these photographs are already trending in the social media.
