Ofunaofu:I believe you are one of the mafia that has been given Nigeria and Nigerians hard times. The re engineering programme that is going on with the economy will definitely bring pains. The mafia and the saboteur are not happy with the re engineering programme and they are fighting back seriously. Take note, the economy is getting better and better. It will be made better. But sadly you may not see it being better than how you know it before Tinubu administration took charge. It is always looking more like inflation and purchasing capacity are getting more strenuous as the world is moving forward. The purchasing capacity of #1000 in the year 1999 is as strong as what #100,000 will purchase now. God help us 1 Like |

These are the 3 apostle of naira devaluation under Babangida regime. The tree 🌳 of the seeds they planted by their shortsighted economic policy is what has germinated andits giving us bad fruits till today. Unfortunately, there have not be any chance of getting a better government to help uproot this bad tree. |
Car Talk / Re: Peugeot 504 Price In 1975 Vs Price Of Bread In 2024 by gotnel: 1:03pm On Mar 13 |
The devaluation started with Babangida SFEM policy. Second tier Foreign Exchange Market. Yes. There was a gradual devaluation before Babangida jargon of economics policy, but the real point of no return started with sfem. My father bought a Peugeot 505GL at the cost of #6,000 ( six thousand naira only) in the year 1985. Bought a Bedford lorry 5 tons at the cost of #11,000 the same year. I can categorically remember my father and his friends saying that the vehicles are now costlier than they expected. Now in Nigeria, what can we do with any amount up to 999,000 naira? I just believed that life was much more easier then. Hope is not lost Life continues Work hard Try to meet up God bless our hustling |

It is just that Nigerians are wired to constantly be a consumer instead of being a producer. Ukraine is peoples by productive men and women. Nigerians are more of traders. Very few Nigerians are engaged in productive venture There is nothing stopping us to be able to feed the whole of Africa from Nigeria grain, if we really want to use our resources. Power Bank is for mobility. You carry it around, if you are on the move constantly. It serves as a back up to your phone and other gadgets. It doesn't necessarily mean that you are not having enough power supply at home or in the office. |

Ladies always want to dominate their domains once they get married. It is now very much dependent on the type of character the lady wants to exhibit. Some time you will find a newly wedded lady whom everyone around her will find plenty of peace and happiness shortly after wedding and in the long run. Some lady will be very nice to everyone at the beginning of the marital journey and slowly show her bad character to everyone around her. The third type are those that will start their attitudes of no joy immediately they consolidate in their new home. Anyway, for a man undergoing apprenticeship under a bachelor without a wife, your prayer should be that let you find peace of mind whatever the future wife of your boss will exhibit as character. Congratulations on your freedom, as you were able to sail through. As for whatever you got as a settlement from your boss, your actions and character will be your key to your next step. Ojuyobo and his Lagos boys have missed it totally. They are just dancing naked in the market Square ⬛️ How are they really feeling about this daily depreciation of naira and the devastating effects on the people's purchasing power? Tinubu is an open disgrace to those of us that supported him. It is very true that politicians are never made to serve people in Africa. They are made to exploit and explore. The same as our colonial masters. The politicians are even more brutal than the colonial masters in their character. 1 Like |

The people must stand up to free themselves from the shackle of Tinubu and Imf World Bank. As usual, the meeting between the president and the governors ended emptied handed again. Nothing is said about the free falling naira that really needs to be addressed . Everything can be done to solving this problem, if naira free fall is not addressed, no matter what they think is the solution is not going to work. If they release grains from the imaginary food stores, it will just be like what the CBN is doing for the stabilisation of naira. It will only take effect for 2 or 3 days and even the situation goes worse than before the intervention. President Bola Tinubu is joking about the state of Nigeria and Nigerians. I forsee a very big wahala that will consume this government, except Tinubu and his economic policy makers take a decisive decision as quickly as possible. |
Politics / Re: There Is Deliberate Attack On The Naira ???? by gotnel: 1:41pm On Feb 15 |
If there is a deliberate attack on the naira, then the attacker is president Bola Ahmed Tinubu. If Tinubu is not the one attacking the naira, then he should save the naira from the attackers. It is very simple. Naira is fantastically falling down because of the policy of this government headed by Bola Ahmed Tinubu. So, to save naira and restore a little dignity into naira values is also going to be a policy of Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration. Except something else is going to happen. |

Good move. However, I want him to rejig the local government system back to full operation. Let the local government area be open and running as it were before 1999. Local government administration must provide their services to the towns and villages as it used to be in the beginning. It will help the process of getting the country back to normality again. |

This government is becoming increasingly a failure. I think Tinubu will do something or something else will happen. People are hungry. Some clueless people who are addicted to exploring the people are sitting down and promising eldorado. Government will do this or that is no longer an assurance of anything, anymore. Role out the real activities for people to feel it. Tinubu! Tinubu !! Tinubu!!! Time is going. You and your team does not have any more excuses to give. |

Welcome back Mr President. What solution did you brought back to solve the suffering in the land? Our endurance has gotten to the point where we have no more power to endure. At least let the nation begin to feel your present at home now. Your boys are clueless on how to make the economy feel better for the masses . The hunger in town will kill the people if you are saying we should continue with the hardship. Change is urgently needed in the country now |
Politics / Re: Naira In Transition, Not Jinxed – Bismarck Rewane by gotnel: 3:33pm On Feb 06 |
All these nonsense theory will not work. Bismack and his theory failed under the Buhari government. Here we are again under Tinubu government, Bismack is selling the same useless theory for us to buy. Nigerian government has sold out to the Western powers. People are hungry and the only thing coming out of their mouths is we have to travel through this hardship. Whereas the people in government are living lavishly like tomorrow is not going to come The elites are in collaboration with the Western powers to make the masses more poorer. These elites are responsible for carrying our money to Europe and other advanced countries. Allow local production of goods and services to flourish and everyone will feel the impact Instead of taking a little health care to Europe Instead of taking education of their children to abroad Instead of going out to abroad for holidays Instead of patronising the locally made vehicle Instead of looking inwards to satisfy their needs Our elites preferred to take the scarce resources out to help make the develop nations more prosperous. Tinubu government is a not going to help the situation of the masses with the way things are happening already. God help us 1 Like |

OTI DOJU E BAYI. It has gotten to the point now. Seriously speaking people need to protest against the hardship in town. As it is now, the situation is going worse than yesterday everyday. Tinubu and his Lagos boys have missed all efforts to help make life easier for Nigeria and Nigerians. If people don't come out on the streets to register their grief-stricken conditions, it will continue to get worse. This government has sold out to the Western powers who are addicted to seeing Nigerians in suffering. Except the Tinubu administration looks inward and develop an economic policy that is home grown, the situation will become more worsening. God help us 2 Likes |

Total disgrace to Tinubu and his Lagos boys. I don't understand what they want with the deregulation of naira/dollar exchange rate that has turned out as a total disaster for the nation economy. If the deregulation is not working out as expected, I think the government should take the system back to the regulated system they met on ground. There is no point of deregulation when we are not producing any product to help counter the market value of naira. Nearly everything in the Nigerian market is imported from outside the country. How on earth do we expect the naira to gain value. The only way to save the economy of Nigeria from total collapse is to regulates the exchange rate. Wale Edun Olayemi Cardosso Femi Gbajabiamila And everyone else in the corridor of the presidency should realise that the consequences of this economic theory from imf and world Bank will kill Nigeria and Nigerians totally. Tinubu and his cabinet members should look inward rather than looking outward towards imf and world Bank. God help us 6 Likes 1 Share |
