Oga justwise, greetings. Please where can I inquire all about france travel visa,? I have questions on my mind. |
Brightingsus:Oga, am chilling till next year. So by next year, what are the supporting documents I need to submit. What and what am i suppose to avoid and also what are the things am expected to do?Those are the question now. Thanks. |
Solatium:Oga solatium, thanks so much for contributing. you see I had to quit from my job as a lawyer to go for my llm coz the firm couldn't stand it. And asked me to go and finish and if am done, i can always come to work. So I stated I was a student which was the truth with no job at that moment. Right now, my job came through because I was finished with my school work and was writing my thesis. I intend reapplying by February and will state all the necessary facts. |
Brightingsus:Thanks so so much. Will explain every dime penny in my account apart from my salary. And get documents to support them. My boyfriend wasn't mentioned in my refusal letter as he had every required document. More input my people. I don't want to embark on this trip and fail again. Please help out if you have anything to add. |
Your desire to sponsor yourself is probably the best approach as against being sponsored by your UK boyfriend as they place very minimal importance to sponsorship across partners in boyfriend/girlfriend relationships. For one to sponsor their partner in such a relationship you would go through the eye of a needle to be able to convince the Entry Clearance Officer that you, as the applicant, are a genuine visitor who would return back to Nigeria without overstaying. On face value, 9/10 they see such an applicant as a potential overstayer. I can see why you were denied previously; undertaking a masters programme in Nigeria is not a tie. People sometimes abandone a degree programme with much longer duration than a masters. First of all, decide in yourself how you want to spend your holiday in the UK, how many days for and where you would stay. Make a list of the atttactions you would like to visit and ensure your chosen accommodation, if no UK host, is near the attractions. Draw up your budget and make sure it is reasonable considering your bank balance and your monthly salary. In your list of documents, consider including the following... 1. Employment Contract letters 2. Last 6 months payslips (with most recent month within 30 days of application) 3. Last 6 months bank statements (with most recent month within 30 days of application) 4. Proof of your family ties in Nigeria 5. Proof of your current housing in Nigeria, like rental agreements and rental receipts and the like 6. Proof of membership to any professional or social groups in Nigeria, if applicable 7. Proof of Uk accommodation, like booked hotels. Note, you can book hotels on hold without paying. Choose hotels with free cancellation. If you have a UK host, remember you would have to get their documents like tenancy agreement and utility bills and proof of your relationship to them. The above list is not 100% comprehensive. Other docs can be added, but those are the ones I can say on my feet.[/quote Thanks sir for the prompt response. That was detailed. Since I indicated that I will be staying over at my boyfriend's in my last application, he lives in central London and I still wish to state am staying over at his place because that's the truth. But if you think otherwise, you can state so. Secondly, hope is not a problem that I run a single account which serves as my salary and personal savings account. Which has inflow of cash for personal jobs I do for clients? |
Hello house. I was refused a uk visa in may 2017 because I had no personal ties here. I was a masters student then and had no job because I had to quit work for school. I stated in my application that my boyfriend(a british citizen)who was inviting me was going to be my sponsor. I had about 700k in my account but I was refused visa. I want to reapply by next year and I want to know every possible documentation that will required of me. I work in a law firm now as an associate and earn 250k per month. I want to reapply sponsoring myself. What do I need to do to get it right this time around. Please point out all the supporting documents I need to attach. @justwise, ekpotek, blessedgeorgeus, brightingsus and every other guru in the house. |
Thanks @ekpotek. Please how can I talk to you outside this forum? |
Justwise, in reply to your question, he visited last Christmas and left 17th January, 2017. And yes, there has been exchange of gifts and cash. And please while addressing the above, when is most suitable to reapply, can i reapply next month after gathering all the extra documents you all have pointed out? like how much should I have in my savings account? Thanks. |
justwise post 1.When was the last time he visited you in Nigeria? 2. Any exchange of gifts? Cash or material gifts He visited me last Christmas 2016 and left January 17th 2017. Yes there has been exchange of material gifts and cash. |
Oga justwise and the entire house, thanks for the information I have gotten so far. If I had known this was how this platform works, I would have consulted you all first before applying. But all things works together for good. Thanks once more all. My worry and question is can I reapply immediately because i want to do so or should I wait? If am to wait, when next am I to reapply- 2,3, or even in 6months time? Is there any specific amount I should have in my savings account? |
justwise You submitted everything from your sponsor but failed to submit documents from your own end to support your tier to Nigeria, that is what the ECO pointed out in that refusal letter, since you are a full time student you needed to submit your school documents like your admission, last results, school fees receipts, course time table and letter from your school. Thanks for pointing those out. So if I get all those documents ready, can I reapply immediately or give it a space of 6months. Oga justwise, in summary when can I reapply? Is there any specific amount I should have in my savings account? |
@justwise, I submitted: 1. My sponsor's payslips 2. My sponsor's tenancy agreement 3. My sponsor's bank statement for 6 months 4. My sponsor's utility bill which reflects in his bank statement 5.my sponsor's work contract My sponsor's data page British passport 6. My sponsor's invitation letter 7. My school registra's letter 8. Snapshots of our conversation 9. Pictures taken together last year Christmas 10. My bank account statement 11. Mother's consent letter |
@ elabogado, thanks for the outlined documents. @light, I got my passport on 25th of may. |
All the gurus, oga justwise, travelland and all otyers please come oooo is urgent. I am a postgraduate student at the moment in U.I. I had to quit work in a law firm as a practitioner because of school as the firm is in the east and they wouldn't accommodate full time study. I was invited by British boyfriend to UK and he intended sponsoring all things. He sent all documents required of him and I applied for a tourist visa on the 7th of may 2017. Along side all his documents, I attached a letter from my school registra, pictures taken with my boyfriend when he came back last Christmas, snapshots of our conversations all these while, a letter of consent from my mum and a closing deposit of 700k in my savings account. I was refused visa and the decision is as below: I am aware of your sponsor's offer to fund this visit however, in order to assess your intentions in the UK I must consider your personal circumstances and I note that you have not submitted satisfactory documents to verify your personal and financial circumstances in Nigeria. From the documents provided I am unable to confirm that you have strong financial and personal ties in nigeria that would give you a compelling reason to leave the UK at the end of your visit. You have provided a letter from the university of Ibadan which appears to confirm that you are a student at that institution, but no documents showing studies or academic achievement from the university of Ibadan. You have provided no documents showing that you have recently been visited by your Uk sponsor or when you last met. Without seeing such documents I am not satisfied that you circumstances are as stated by you in Nigeria, that your relationship is genuine, and that you intend to leave for extended periods in the United Kingdom through frequent or successive visits or that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor for a period not exceeding 6 months. There is no right of appeal or administrative review. Now my questions what documents do I need to attach considering the below: 1. When I applied, I was finishing my 2 semester exam and has started looking out for job. Now that I have gotten a firm where i work as a freelance considering the fact I am still running my law masters programme. I still do all my personal soliciting jobs. 2. I have a cucumber farm. 3. My sponsor and I have been dating for 2years now. 4. My masters programme is officially ending by October/November depending. 5. When next can I apply. Please help a sister. |
Justwise how do I access the visiting thread as I have gone through alot without seeing the visiting thread. Please what is the easiest way to get to this thread. Thanks. |
Sorry house, I have tried finding the thread for uk visiting visa but I ended up not seeing thus this post. Mr justwise, please I couldn't find that particular thread. I am a postgraduate students in the university of Ibadan. I applied for a tourist uk visit visa on 7th may 2017 and was refused. I have a British citizen boyfriend who invited me and is willing to sponsor fully and sent all documents required of him. He has visited me twice and wants me to come. I applied attaching pictures taken together, a letter from my registra, a consent letter from my mum. Because I quit work to go for my masters, I couldn't lie about working either full time or part time. So i stated i was a full student. But i had over 600k in my account. Now, I am done with class work and has started my masters thesis and has gotten a job with a law firm though not fully paid because of my unfinished law masters programme. And I have started a cucumber farm. What do the house advice I do in respect to documents I need to attach to convince them that I am coming back to nigeria. And secondly, when can I reapply? Below is their decision for refusal: I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraphs V4.2 because : I am aware of your sponsor's offer to fund this visit however, in order to assess your intentions in the UK I must consider your personal circumstances and I note that you have not submitted satisfactory documents to verify your personal and financial circumstances in Nigeria. From the documents provided I am unable to confirm that you have strong financial and personal ties in nigeria that would give you a compelling reason to leave the UK at the end of your visit. Thanks Realgeo for your input. But what substantial evidence can convince them beyond all reasonable doubt as you said. Please the gurus in the house come and help a sister in a crossroad. Justwise, lawyerdesk and co. bikooo. What documents do I need to attach again. I just finished with my class work and exams and has started my project work. My boyfriend in the UK still wants to sponsor me fully. I have gotten a law firm recently where i work but am not fully paid because I am still a master's student in U.I and they are aware that I just started writing my masters thesis. Can I reapply immediately, attaching a letter from the firm, my project topic approval and other documents you guys will advise me on? Please someone should come to my aid. What can make them believe am coming back to Nigeria. |
Hello guys. I just signed up here today just to seek assistance and direction from you all. Am a master's student currently in U.I. I applied for a 6 month UK tourist visa on 7th of May 2017 and was refused visa. I stated I was being invited by my boyfriend whom we look forward to getting married in the future. And he happens to be my full sponsor and sent all the documents required of him. I don't know what to do next or how to go about it. Below is there reason: I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraphs V4.2 because: I am aware of your sponsor's offer to fund this visit however, in order to assess your intentions in the UK I must consider your personal circumstances and I note that you have not submitted satisfactory documents to verify your personal and financial circumstances in Nigeria.
