Please, I subscribed to Stanbic Equity Yesterday but till this moment I have not seen any balance or equity investment activities on my portfolio. Anybody who's into them should kindly enlighten on how their system works, why my Equity fund investment isn't showing any activities or movement.

Yes I did. My capital went down a bit when I signed up and they had to call me to shalaye cos I was really annoyed. But it has recovered already. The fund went from 18.52% to 23% and now 24.81%. It's doing really well this bullish run. Apparently the fund is 50% invested in the services sector which is driving the ngx so far this year. Don't know how correct that info last part is though.

The best time to enter an equity fund is early December or early January.

Is anyone doing GT equity fund by gtco? Can't find their ytd anywhere even in the app smh. But I'm seeing they did 80% last year as at Dec 24. Their customer service is also shit.

Wow. The ones on cowrywise arent impressive at the moment. Afrinvest is the highest at 11%. Making necessary changes this week. I have zero loyalty to any fund manager.

My GTB Equity Feb 2nd was ₦10,183,016 by the end of the trading week Feb 6th ₦10,343,514. Is this interest gross or net?

I can't really say for now, as monthly performance does not beat the yearly performance; nevertheless, check the SEC Excel file for the best-performing equity fund managers in January. I'm currently using Zrosk; however, they are working on their website for now.

There are halal options for all mutual fund classes. I noticed they outperformed the regular funds in their classes last year. That arm halal balanced fund closed at 54% ytd for 2025 while other balanced funds closed below 50% ytd. It even outperformed some regular equity funds like Ucap equity. For actual halal equity funds, stanbic Imaan fund closed with 84% ytd in 2025 and outperformed almost all the regular equity funds. I think only Halo equity fund beat it. Of course, past performance isn't a guarantee of future performance but they're doing well now.

Annualized yield is different from YTD. The YTD is the year-to-date return, meaning the period starting from the first day of the current calendar or fiscal year (e.g., Jan 1) up to the present date, while annualized returns project performance over a full 12-month period based on partial data. So YTD is for the current return, and "annualized" means yearly return. For any growth investment, choose YTD.

Cs fixed income fund having 4% ytd is the highest I've seen. Others aren't even up to 2% yet. And with no minimum holding period. Amazing

Edit: minimum holding period of 90 days.

I've noticed Ethical equity funds like the ESG usually outperform regular equity fund. Last year, Stanbic Imaan fund did 84% and their Ethical did around 70%. Even now, both funds are over 12% ytd, higher than he standard equity fund. And their nav is less than 1k. Stanbic equity nav is about 47k which is crazy to me.

When dividends are paid by companies, do you know if they are also allocated to equity funds and then paid out to unit holders? I'm only aware of the returns from price increase.

No, check out Zrosk; they sent me my valuation statement and portfolio performance.

Bro, Halo is shady, and I don't think they can meet the SEC recapitalization. I checked their total portfolio value; it's not up to 200M. Try and open GTB, or go with CardinalStone if you don't mind their huge weight on the oil sector.

I did my research diligently before entrusting my money there; anyway, my money is safe with them. Stanbic IBTC is the custodian, and Meristem is the trustee to the funds; that alone has convinced me that Zrosk is legit, and moreover, according to the SEC website, they have the highest funds in the equity portfolio, 9B+.

Chief....the truth is MMF is just for people that don't want risk....

My 5M in Stanbic gives me about 2,100 per day...

I have decided to stop putting my money there for now....

Even, I used my daughter's money to invest in GTbank for her.....

The money in GTBank equity is half the money in there MMF....I started 22nd of January....yield in far more than that of MMF and the yield in balanced fund, which was same capital with the equity is just trailing behind the MMF.... remember MMF amount was DOUBLE....

I have decided to risk equity and fixed income for now....I didn't put in much....just 100K each....

Not really, I am not just interested in their platform. However, withdrawal was swift; it did not take up to 5 minutes to enter my account.

Haha, well, equity investment is for the long term. I'm using Zrosk now with 9.5M locked inside; I will just forget it and top up and keep building my fixed income with DLM and CD.

They've refused to onboard me despite several calls, chats, and emails and, the worst part is, despite confirming my transfer or funds from their end neither my funds nor my account has been found as a registered user even though I have filled all the information there is for them need to onboard me.

This is tiring.
