Generally, the better the fund performs, the bigger the YTD increase needs to be for you to see a significant move in your actual daily balance.

In addition to this, I believe zedcrest ytd is gross not net. See attached screenshot from CS.

I topped up zedcrest 2 days ago and I'm still gonna top up today. Leaving money on the table while waiting for bear is counterproductive. I got good money from my dividends, all has been reinvested. No time!

My man from MMF. Cant side with you on this one. I doubt stanbic is the biggest player when it comes to equity. They only shine in MMF.

Equity is a different ball game and i wont advise you to go with stanbic if you want to do it. If invested with the right fund manager, 10% or less of your total funds can outperfom 90% of your total funds in MMF

In MMF, your daily % gain is divided by 365 but in equity, whatever % you see in a day is what you get . CS did around 7% in one day sometime last week. Some fund managers are currently at 100% YTD, meaning they have doubled whatever investment you made with them whereas stanbic is far behind.

Lastly, Risk in equity snd MMF mean different things. The greatest risk in Equity is Yakubu aka Red, whereas in MMF, excessive returns above the benchmark may spell risk.

For example, the dip % today is -4%.

From the SEC sheet, these were the top 5 equity mutual fund performers as at December 24, 2025(1 week before the end of the year) :
1. GT 90.17%
2. Zrosk 74.07%
3. Stanbic Nigeria equity 65.07%
4. Paramount 64.43%
5. Anchoria 57.96%

Other funds that did above 50% were :

I deliberately omitted Halo which had 168% ytd return at that time
