Farid24224:Kindly complete it before sunset today (before Magrib prayer). By the time you extend it to Isha'I prayer, we are already in Saturday night by then. It's no longer Friday by that time. May Allah make it easy and ease our afairs |
Bizibi:Some of you will just come online and be disgracing yourself because of hatred for the government of the day. Discos don't generate electricity, they only distribute. The job of generation is for the Gencos. Meanwhile, Nigeria problem is not about generation but transmission. Nigeria has a combined installed capacity to generate over 13,000 Megawatts of electricity but we don't have the capacity of transmitting up to that, hence the gap and shortfalls. The current government's initiative Is to increase our transmission capacity, so that discos can distribute more higher Megawatts to every households. |
MatrixReloaded:How did you know what happened during Pentecost if not through Bible? How did you know what Paul recorded if not through Bible? How did you even know about Holy spirit, if not through Bible? So if he said you learn speaking in tongue from the Bible, how was he wrong please? |
JOemmy:Of course, the British people have a say indirectly. The British people will vote Member of Parliament in to office during elections in to the House of Commons (House of Commons is like our own Federal House of Representatives). The party that now has the majority of legislators will form the Government and will also produce the Prime Minister. They practice what is called Parliamentary system of Government in Uk. The one Nigeria practised between 1960-1966 before the coup where we have the only Nigeria Prime Minister, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa. The NPC (Northern People's Congress) had the majority then in the election, but their majority wasn't enough to form Government, hence they joined forces with the NCNC led by Nnamdi Azikiwe to form Government then. So Tafawa Balewa became Prime Minister and Head of Government while Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe became President(Head of State, a ceremonial title similar to what the Queen is holding in Uk Government now). The AG (Action Group) led by Chief Obafemi Awolowo became the opposition party in that overnment. But had it been that NCNC and the AG could liaise then, they could had form the Government and leave the NPC in Opposition. But I guess Awo and Azikiwe couldn't work together. |
asanausana91:I am not sure if they truly lost the HRH title but I know they lost Prince and Princess title and the reason is not because of virginity or not. It's simply because their Father, Prince Harry is not directly in the line of succession, only his elder brother, Prince William is. The Prince title is being limited to only the people in the direct line of succession. Meaning that all Prince William's children will carry the title of Princes and Princess, while Prince Harry's children will not, but I think they will all have the HRH title, because they are Royals |
JOemmy:You need to understand that the British Monarchy is a constitutional Monarchy and not a full Monarchy. It does not really have any power, its just a ceremonial position. The Monarch is the Head of state, while the Prime Minister is the real Head of Government that runs the day to day activities of the UK Government. The Monarch appointing the Prime Minister is just ceremonial. The party that has the majority in the Parliament (House of Commons) produce the Prime Minister. As you can see when Boris Johnson resigned few months ago, the conservatives party who has the majority in the House, conducted an in house election among themselves in order to choose a replacement for him, in which Lizz Truss won. Her name was forwarded to the Queen and she was appointed. The appointment itself is a formality, the Queen can't act otherwise. If the Labour party have the majority in Parliament, they will also produce the Prime Minister. The Monarch only appoint anybody the Party has elected. The Monarch cannot act independently. The Monarch can't even fire the Prime Minister, only the party can. And If course, there are election in to the House of Commons which reflect the wish of the People. |
jeromestarks:As much as I understand your analogy, you are very wrong in your assertion here. Nobody was dethroned. In fact King Edward VIII actually ruled as King after the death of their Father, King George V in 1936. He only chose to willingly Abdicate the throne in order to marry the love of his life, Miss Simpson. Miss Simpson was an American divorcee who had 2 living Ex Husbands. The King as the Head of the England Church is not allowed by tradition to marry a divorcee, but Edward VIII chose to marry her and gave up his throne instead. This was why he passed the throne to his younger Brother, King George VI (Queen Elizabeth II Father). He took the title of Duke of Windsor when he left the throne. The same scenario happened to this current King Charles III when he divorced his former late wife, Princess Diana. His current wife was married to another Man and the Queen didn't approved of their marriage until 2005 I think, when the other husband had died. So it's not about virginity at all. Read more about the Royal Family lives style. |
abobote:The Prince of Wales title is meant for the Crown Prince and heir apparent to the throne. Their previous titles were Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. King Charles former title (before becoming King Yesterday following the Queen's death) was Prince of Wales. Literally, the Queen's death opened up the room for promotion of the royal members in line of succession to move up the ladder. When Charles dies, William will then become King, while William's first Son (9 year old Prince George) will be named Prince of Wales and heir apparent to the throne. |

popez:I actually take exception from insult while driving out points and in public engagement. I thought you will engage in intellectual argument and let's have constructive discussion on the issue, but I am afraid, I can't engage you further because of your insulting mode of conversation. Meanwhile, I will love to also burst your lie on the premium times link you sent, but I will leave you to believe whatever you want to believe and continue with your political ideology. You are free to canvas and vote for your choice my brother. Cheers |
popez:My brother, The worst thing to believe in this life is propaganda and lies, even when you truly know its a lie. The below pictures should clear your doubt about the picture you posted and misrepresented. On sheriff allegation, I believed he made that while still in PDP and having issues with Shettima. But come to think of it, Sheriff served as Gov. In Borno between 2003 - 2011, while Shettima served between 2011 -2019. Don't forget Shettima was a banker before being brought in to politics by Sheriff to serve as Commissioner. Boko Haram started operation around 2009. That's the period Sherrif was in power. Do you think Shettima, a serving commission's could have possibly created and funded boko haram under the watch of a Gov? And the Governor will still go ahead to hand over power to him to succeed him? Some arguments I read here daily are just not logical and sensible. The same Sheriff you quoted has also vowed to work assiduously to deliver the ticket in Borno. You can go and listen to his interview with reporters when he visited Buhari in Daura few days ago

Hambivert:I don't always know where you guys get your analysis from, and just decide to spill out anything on the internet for gullible people to consume. When did Fashola became Governor that other people are campaigning using his mantra? The same 2007 election that brought in Fashola in Lagos as Governor under ACN brought in Aregbesola in Osun under ACN, and brought in Kayode Fayemi in Ekiti under ACN. The only difference is that both Aregbesola and Fayemi got their mandates restored in court in 2010. Unless you are insinuating that they cajoled the courts to look at Fashola's achievements of 3 years (2007-2010) to rule in their favour, which of course not possible. Oyo state and Ogun state joined the progressive in 2011 due to records of the contestants then, that is Ajimobi for Oyo state and Amosun for Ogun state. They had both served as Senators before their Governorship elections. Both were also heavily supported and delivered by Tinubu and others. My question for you however is that where did any of the Governors ever used Fashola achievements to campaign during any election? Where did Fashola ever left Lagos and campaign for any of the aforementioned Governors before they emerged? |
Truthisunique2:Yoruba gives bloc votes when their son is on the ballot my brother. Right from 1979 and 1983 elections, Chief Obafemi Awolowo got nothing less than 70% from each states in Yoruba land. Fast forward to 1993 elections, the support for Abiola in SW was beyond massive. In 1999, virtually all the Yoruba people went for Olu Falae because they saw him as their candidate and Obasanjo as Northern Candidate. SW rejected Obasanjo massively, but still gave massive supports to Olu Falae then. Even the entire 6 Governors of the SW in 1999 were all AD, no PDP. But When Obasanjo was the only Yoruba on the ballot in 2003, Yoruba voted massively for him and gave him bloc votes. Going by history, don't expect 2023 to be different since Tinubu is the only Yoruba on the ballot and considering APC controls 5 of the 6 states in SW. Tinubu will receive bloc votes. Even Oyo state which is the only state being rule by PDP currently has all the 3 Senators to be APC and majority of the House of Reps members are APC. Now going to Abubakar Atiku, he has not really being an acceptable politician in the North. Even in his Zone, NE, Atiku can't confidently win elections there. As Presidential candidate in 2019 he lost Borno, Yobe, Gombe and Bauchi. He only won in Taraba and Adamawa. It will interest you that Atiku won his home state with 410k votes while Buhari had 378k votes. That's partly 51% in his home state. Ordinarily Atiku should had gotten nothing less than 80% in his state. You might argue that its because of Buhari cult following, but if Atiku cannot comfortably defeat any opponent with 70:30 ratio in his home state, then he can't be rated that high. In 2007 against Yaradua, Atiku of ACN couldn't deliver his zone again. In 2023, he is having Kwankwaso to contend with there too. The point of all these narrative is to let you know that Atiku is not sure of bloc votes anywhere. His major bloc votes and PDP bloc votes are SE and SS, but it will be affected with Peter Obi movement. He might not get his bloc votes this time around. The same thing Yaradua and Buhari candidacy worked against him in 2007 and 2019, Kwankwaso will be a spoiler for him too in the North. The funniest part is that Kwankwaso will be more than willing to support Tinubu than supporting Atiku. Though I don't see him stepping down for anyone but if it get to that stage, trust me, he will give Tinubu is backing. |
GeneralPula:Ukraine proved nothing bro. NATO is fighting Russia indirectly in the ongoing war in Ukraine. Do you know the amount of funds, and Military aids NATO has deployed to Ukraine to defend themselves? Do you know the amount of sanctions meted on Russia by different countries because of this war? Yet Russia is keeping the war going and also balancing their economy. How many sanctions were given to America in their invasion of different countries? Iraq, Afghanistan etc? America fought only the military of those countries without external assistance, so it looks like America defeated them easily. But Russia is fighting Ukrainian forces plus external military assistance, weapons and intelligence from NATO. |
uniquetechng:That USA has a huge defense and military budget doesn't equate that they are using it all for developing new or classified weapons. Remember that USA has the largest military bases in different countries of the world. They spend most of these funds to supply of weapons, logistics and intelligence in those bases and indeed the world. How many military bases does Russia, if at all they have compared to America. So don't use their military budget to judge their arsenals. Russia still has the largest collection of nuclear weapons in the world. |

Jack500:Atiku wasn't a beneficiary sir but a main force on that ticket. I don't know where you all get your information from that an imaginary running mate died. What's the name of the running mate if truly he died? Atiku having won Adamawa Governorship election resigned after Obasanjo nominated him to be his running mate. They both ran on the same ticket |
MissLeslie:What is the name of the running mate of Obasanjo that died? Presidential election was held February 1999 while Governorship elections were held a month before, January. Atiku already won Governorship elections of Adamawa state. He resigned after Obasanjo nominated him to join him on his ticket. They both ran and won the presidential election. No running mate died sir. |
Parachoko:My brother, you are actually wrong. Obasanjo picked Atiku as running mate before the 1999 presidential election and they both ran on the ticket. The Presidential election was held in February 1999 and they ran and won on the same ticket. However, Atiku had already won the Governorship election of Adamawa state. The Governorship elections were held in Nigeria by January 1999, ( a month before the presidential election). Atiku resigned as the Governor-elect and joined Obasanjo on the ticket. Bonie Haruna who was Atiku's Deputy Governor-elect was later sworn in as Governor in May 1999 following Atiku's resignation. I hope its clear now sir |
But you expect to win north whose son of the soil is also contesting abi
