Nigeria is half and that’s why I said let the governor of Lagos Ogun and oyo and Osun present same faith ticket (all 4 states have both religions represented)so that way Tinubu can present Muslim Muslim to Yoruba non Muslims who are majority of the tribe

And yes I have a problem with Muslim Muslim ticket in a 50% Christian and Muslim country

Back to logic, the entire South West has more Muslims than Christians. Also the North West and North East have much more Muslims Than Christians. These 3 zones have the voting strength to deliver the President in an election compared to the North Central, South South and South East.

Not that, I am in support of a Muslim Muslim ticket, but with your justification of Christian/Christian tickets in Ekiti and Ondo states simply because there are more Christians than Muslims, then Muslim/Muslim ticket can fly in the Presidency.
It might generate noise and outcry initially, but trust me, everything will die down and it will fly because the Major deciders of the Election are predominated by Muslims (SW, NW, NE).

In the same South West currently now, Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State and Gov. Roti I Akeredolu of Ondo state are currently serving with Christian Deputy Governors. Don't forget both Governors are Christians.

Gov. Nasir El-rufai of Kaduna is currently serving with a Muslim Deputy Governor.

The South West Leaders might have played some political royal rumble in the 7th Speakership National Assembly, but obviously the same thing played out when all that is required for the South East to secure the Senate President seat which is the number 3 position was just to re-elect Sen. Chris Ngige back in to the Senate, but the hatred of APC changed the scheme of things.

The point of this thread is crying for marginalisation, turning a section of the country in to a war zone and threatening the peace and unity of the country when the table turns around. Everybody should live with the consequences of their actions.

The South West accepted their losses, went back to the drawing table, build bridges and came out with political alliance that brought them to the corridor of power.

They didn't threatened Nigeria's unity or resulted in unnecessary killings and maiming of security personnel, destruction of government properties and killing their own people.

NB:

The point is nobody should threatened the Country Unity only when they are not favoured and kept mute when they are enjoying the National cake.

The South West clearly didn't benefit from the Jonathan's administration but didn't threatened the unity of the country. Instead, they strategised and supported a candidate that will serve their interest in the election that followed.

The South East and other aggrieved regions should definitely follow same strategy instead of the secession threat and turning some regions in to war zone.
