A former Vice-Chancellor of
the Federal University of
Technology Akure (FUTA),
Prof. Albert Adeoye
Ilemobade, has been
abducted. According to a source, ”The maid found out that the ex
VC was not seen in his
house.” The over seventy year old
former VC was said to have
been kidnapped along with his
guard in his home at Ijapo in
Akure, Ondo State. His kidnappers who abducted
him using his car later left the
car on Ijare Road, in Ifedore
Local Government Area.
Others Ilemobade’s relatives and well-
wishers have thronged to his
home. His kidnappers are yet to
communicate with his family.
Wale Ogodo, the police
spokesperson has since
assured that investigation has
commenced. Recall that Ilemobade was
FUTA’s VC from 1987 to 1995.
