The refinery is in my community and on my family land,including SPDC's Gbaran Ubie oil and gas gathering facility. Even though I have a few things against this company and its owner( this refinery is allegedly owned by Goodluck Jonathan), and a host of others, I still appreciate the contributions made towards youth employment and community development. My community is the light of Bayelsa state. Hopefully, when once the proposed industrial area sited around the refinery kicks off, we will experience even more massive development. I am all for my ijaw people creating and sitting businesses on on our lands instead of taking it to the south west and elsewhere. If every other person had done so, ijaw land would have been far developed than what we have now. And also, it is high time every oil company operating on our lands brought their corporate headquarters to their host states or region.
