Hi finally ported to Ubuntu 16.10 yesterday. Just one problem, my HSPA internet dongle that worked for my formal operating system (windows 7)is not working with Ubuntu.
What modem do you use and how do you set it up. Thanks in advance. I will really appreciate any help i can get.

Can anybody out there please help. I have been trying to update my software package on linux lite but i keep getting the error message "cant fetch package file". I have tried using the terminal but no joy. Any ideas anybody, on how to solve this problem? I had a similar problem on linux mint 17.3.I switched to lite and now similar problem.

Ringtone Problem With My SonyXperia Z Ultra.
The ringtone on my Sony Xperia Z Ultra stopped on all incoming calls. All other tones are working, the loudspeaker on the phone works. I have tried restarting on safe mode, default ringtone nothing has restored the ringtone. The phone is also set to vibrate on incomong calls, it vibrates the sound can be heard. it runs on Android 5.1.1.
Anybody with any solution please?

Linux Mint and Ubuntu are both Debian based. I personally prefer Ubuntu and Unity UI

when i install a software on my laptop the shortcut icon does not appear on the desktop anymore. This wasn't the case . It still does not appear when i tick the option of a desktop shortcut icon. When i copy and paste the shortcut icon, once the system shuts down and restarts, the icon disappears.
Somebody please help!!!

Those guys are jokers. All they offer you is freedom which you can get for free. Also if you use windows xp it won't work for you. Forget them.
