All these rival fans making noise here because hazard is off form are not surprising me. I remember you gathered here to call him a fraud and one season wonder in 2015/2016 but lost your voice in 2016/2017.

He is off form now. You guys should not worry, you will still disappear and lost your voices soon.

For those saying that we are playing with 9 defensive minded players, is moses, fab and hazard among them?

Seriously, how manage bakayoko plays for Chelsea football club?

I think conte should just swallow his L like mou and Pep did with mhki and nolito respectively. He should just throw the motherfucker away.

Almost the whole team is off form, especially the attackers, with exception to our keeper and kante to an extent.

I just pray that it changes as soon as possible.
It should disappear completely by February 14th.
I just pray so.

The funny thing is that with all the rubbish hazard have been playing in this match so far, he easily would have gotten two assists from his two passes to fabregas.

That is how stupid goals and assists only for rating can be.

Guys, can someone explain what is wrong with hazard today. I mean, he couldn't even control the ball, talk more of passing it.

Though, he improved before the end of the half.

MoR2:
what of pep that bought up to 5 defensive players. so wetin you go call madrid, way they play counter attack.

how many defenders has the world's best defensive coach bought for man u, chelsea and even when he was in madrid, were they more than 50% of the buys.

so conte wanting to upgrade chelsea's defense na wahala. you watch chelsea vs roma.

did chelsea not go for insigne, candreva, vitolo, llorente

is chelsea not going for lemar, bailey, barkley. abeg wetin be your own wahala

person go think say na only defenders full chelsea team, 5cbs, 2dms, 2cms, 5ams/wingers, 4 wingbacks, 2cfs,
don't mind those confused people. They don't don't know what they want.

Unietd and atletico are decent. I didn't say otherwise, but their style of play makes it easy for any decent team to dominate possession against them.

My frustration is beyond City topping the league. It is a problem i have noticed for a long time now even before Pep came.

Chelsea have always hanged on that next tier level to elite status. We just need a little bit of attacking revolution to become elite and play like a Big club.

The likes of conte, simeone will not get us there.
look your club's problem here, not conte.

"I understand that the other teams try to kill the other teams and to anticipate the situation and this is the real transfer market, not to wait until the last moment to buy the players," he said.
"If you anticipate the transfer market you become stronger and you make the other team weak, and I have great respect for the plan of the others because everyone is trying to kill you."

Are you kidding me?

City overplayed us in that game. Controlled the midfield, and gave us little time on the ball.

Morata and Hazard helped as best they can by trying to hold the ball and match flair with flair with very little success, but once Morata left, chelsea became utterly toothless and more coward-like even without a man down.
City lost chance after chance after chance from sane, Jesus, Debruyne. We were lucky not to concede before we did.

Btw, Why do you think Chelsea is called counter-attacking team? Is it because we like it? No.
It is because we don't have the team to dominate any world class team or the manager to build it for a long time now.
how is the bolded conte's fault and how will sarri fix it?

Napoli have been the only team to give City a game this season. And with a fraction of the attacking talent city has, A FRACTION.
Even Pep had to anoint Sarri with his royal scepter.

Ofcourse, it would take a serious addition of talent for NAPOLI to win city in any given game.

Most teams including Chelsea not only lost against city but got thoroughly overplayed. That didn't happen against Napoli. They lost, but they went toe-toe against city.

Chelsea with far better and more expensive players than Napoli , but had to result to coward tactics against city all through the game and still lost.

United under Mou and atletico are ultra-defensive teams. Dominating possession against them is nothing special.

Arsenal is far from what i will call a decent team. If Chelsea had a truly attacking mindset against arsenal, we should have gotten atleast 4 points from them in the league.

Our last game against Arsenal, a 4-3-3 attacking formation would be the obvious choice for any decent attacking manager which would have been far productive, but no, our coach had to stick to his defensive formation, even with the obvious players arsenal were missing.
i was hoping to see this from you. Arsenal, Atm and man United are not decent teams.

Your problem is that you are frustrated that man City are top of the league and not Chelsea and you think conte is the convenient person to blame.

What did they have to show for the ragging man City attacking wise?

He will do nothing at Chelsea until he finish doing what he is doing at napoli.

It is tiring, man.

Look at Napoli. They play beautiful attacking football even with relatively inferior players to chelsea.

How can we ever become elite when we keep employing defensive-minded managers.?

How can a coach be asking for VVD when his attacking play is teetering on average.

Conte wants sandro, vidal- all of them though world class are defensive players and it shows the mindset of our manager.

We need to start chasing the lemars, greizmann, fekirs, verratis of this world as our manager's first priority, not sandro, VVD or vidal. We can't even dominate possession against any decent team and we want to be elite.
can you show us the possession stats in our last match against arsenal, against atletico and against man united.

Who agrees with this post below. The nigga spoke what i have been thinking for some time now.

[b]#SarriBall. I’m all up for it. Quick, brilliant, direct attacking play. That’s what we and Roman want. Don’t we? He’s done brilliantly with Insigne, Mertens and Callejon, imagine what he’d do with a significant upgrade with Hazard, Morata and Pedro (or maybe even Lemar/Fekir/Griezmann or someone of that calibre). The midfield is there with Kante, Barkley (he’d do well in this system rather then asked to defend first) and someone of the calibre of Arthur or Saul whom are also incredible in linkup play and quick transition, and a supporting cast of Bakayoko, Loftus Cheek/Drinkwater and Cesc and a back four of LB (preferably Shaw for me, quick, direct and sound defensively)- Christensen- Rudi- Azpi.

I love Conte but his decision making + style of play with his defence first mentality is draining especially with the attacking players we have. We have one the best players in football in Hazard yet we appoint defensive coaches, like why? He be a proper baller under an attacking coach and who else is available than Sarri? I get that the board ain’t supporting Conte in the market, but in reality I wouldn’t when his shopping list contains 60% defensive players and wants them at high prices!. Our defence is fine, the attack in toothless yet he wants Sandro and openly admitted he wanted VvD! When we have Christensen, Cahill, Zouma and Rudiger! In fact through the 3 and a half windows he’s had, we have signed 3 attacking players! whilst signing 4 defenders (Luiz, Alonso, Zappa and Rudi), calling back another two defender-ish (Christensen and Moses) whilst losing only three players in (Terry, Ivanovic and Ake). Adding three defensive midfielders to a very limited creative one, in Baka, Drinkwater and Kante. In fact we only spent money on two effing forwards! Morata and Michy! Two. In 3 and a half windows he recommends. Pre-Conte it was obvious we needed attacking players yet his list of recommendations had VvD and Sandro high up, another two defensive players! Yet Pedro and Willian who are creeping into their 30’s are yet to be replaced. I don’t blame the board at all when I see that much defensive players on the list when our problem isn’t defence.

Rant over. Get Sarri and I hope Conte resigns rather then gets the sacked, because I thoroughly thank him for last season, I hope he walks out with dignity, but his style of football is holding us back like Jose is holding United back[/b]
funny. Who is this sarri? Is it the one that Pep's team beat home and away few months ago and was told that his team is the best to make his shame less for him?

Which is why the 3-4-3 adds another goalscoring body to the mix.

I don't know how we plan to keep winning with only 2 men getting in the box (Hazard and Morata), both of whom are completely off goalscoring form. We need an extra goalscorer with them, either Pedro or Willian.

The problem is we no longer have the midfield to play with only 2 CMs. All our CMs except Kante cannot play in a 2 successfully. Drinkbleach maybe, but that remains to be seen based on his performance yesterday.
truth. But, for the case of arsenal, i think wenger wants to change his record against Chelsea. This can be seen from the way he now sets up his teams to play against us. He now feels comfortable to concede possession. They also play with a higher determination.

Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has opened up about his two-year struggle to keep Romelu Lukaku at Goodison Park.
Lukaku, who moved to Manchester United last summer in a deal worth up to £90m, became Everton's record signing when he joined the club on a five-year deal from Chelsea in 2014.
Speaking at Everton's AGM on Tuesday night, Moshiri revealed Lukaku was keen on returning to Stamford Bridge before the Belgian plumped for a move to Old Trafford.
"With Romelu I wasted two summers trying to keep him," Moshiri said.
Lukaku scored 87 goals in 166 appearances for Everton
"I spoke to him, his agent, his mother. We tried to offer him a better offer than Chelsea. He wanted to play for Chelsea though - at that time.
"Bill Kenwright [Everton's chairman] has been like a father to many players, but ultimately it's the agents they rely on. If I tell you what we offered him, you won't believe it, and we offered him an even better deal than Chelsea, whatever they offered we matched but he just didn't want to stay."
A year ago, Lukaku's agent Mino Raiola claimed a deal to keep Lukaku at Everton was 99.9 per cent done.
During the AGM, Everton CEO Robert Elstone gave an update on Everton's proposed new stadium at Bramley Moore dock.
But Moshiri said he knew he faced a losing battle to hang on to him after the Belgium international holidayed in California with close friend and fellow Raiola client Paul Pogba at the end of last season.
"I got close to Rom, I like the boy, he's a good boy, and I used all my charm to keep him and I flatly failed," Moshiri added.
"Ultimately we lost money. To buy Rom now would be £120m. The issue was his brain had gone. He was in LA [with Pogba] and he wouldn't come back.
"It happens. Alex Ferguson got another year out of [Cristiano] Ronaldo but then he was off. [Luis] Suarez had to bite a few players to get off."

Moshiri revealed he tried harder to keep Lukaku than Ross Barkley
Moshiri was similarly unsuccessful in trying to keep boyhood blue Ross Barkley , who moved to Chelsea at the start of January after backing out of a £35m deal on deadline day in August.
"I didn't spend as much time to keep Ross as I did Rom," added Moshiri.
"When it got to the two years I met his agent and said 'We need to extend the contract'. He said 'You need to get Ronald Koeman' and we got Koeman.

"He then said (John) Stones was his friend and he should be allowed to leave and he left. We got into the last year (of his contract) and again we didn't want him to go.
"Bill miraculously got an offer for £35m for a player who was injured and then he changed his mind. Sam (Allardyce) spoke to him and he didn't want to stay."

Jose Mourinho has a chip on his shoulder due to the lack of acknowledgement his managerial achievements has received from his peers, Andy Dunn told the Sunday Supplement.
The Manchester United manager is embroiled in a heated war of words with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, the latest in a long line of spats with those in the opposing dug-out.
Dunn believes Mourinho's readiness to pick fights with his counterparts stems from a combination of feeling undervalued and having never played the game to the heights his rivals.
"The reason why Mourinho cannot let anything lie is that, even with his incredible record - 25 trophies - he thinks he's underappreciated, undervalued and people do not acknowledge how great a manager he's been," the Chief Sports Writer at the
Daily Mirror said.
"That doesn't only apply to his the media but also to his peers, that's reflected by the way he has a go at them - Conte's comments about him are incredibly disparaging.
"Some of it may come down to the fact he wasn't a player, that will always be a little chip on his shoulder.
"How many times has he said he's not bothered that he's only won three Manager of the Month awards? Of course he's bothered.
"Has he ever been LMA Manager of the Year? No, he hasn't. David Moyes has three times - that's nothing against David Moyes, respect to him, but I think Mourinho feels he has never been properly acknowledged by his peers for what he's done in management.
Here's a look at how the ward of words has escalated between Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.
"That's reflected by the way he's all too ready to aim barbs at other managers. Conte is not the first and he won't be the last; Pep Guardiola, Rafa Benitez, Manuel Pellegrini, Arsene Wenger, Claudio Ranieri and a couple of managers in Portugal in his early days have been in his crosshairs.
"That's all about a character that thinks he is the 'Special One' but has never got the credit he deserves for what he has done, and we have seen that from the moment he came to England."

Guys, what do you think?
