MRS SOLUDO URGES MEN TO PRIORITISE MENTAL HEALTH, BREAK SILENCE ON EMOTIONAL BURDENS. As the world observes Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month this June, the Wife of Anambra State Governor, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has called on men across the state and beyond to embrace open conversations about their emotional and mental well-being, describing it as an essential part of true strength and overall health. In a message shared on social media, Mrs. Soludo highlighted the generational challenge many men face, where societal expectations often compel them to “carry their burdens in silence” and equate strength with enduring pain alone. She stressed that real strength also lies in speaking up, seeking support, and prioritising mental care. “True strength also lies in speaking up, seeking support, and prioritising emotional and mental well-being,” Mrs. Soludo stated. She emphasised the need to create safe spaces where men can express themselves freely without fear of judgment. The governor’s wife further noted that mental health is not a sign of weakness but a critical component of holistic well-being, vital for building healthier families and stronger communities. She extended heartfelt appreciation to men who daily strive, provide, lead, and navigate life’s challenges. “To every man striving, fighting, providing, leading, and navigating life’s challenges: your well-being really matters. Take time to rest, connect, seek support, and care for your mind just as you care for your body. We love you so much,”** she added. This intervention by the Anambra First Lady comes amid growing global and local recognition of men’s mental health issues, often under-discussed due to cultural stigmas. Experts and advocates have consistently pointed out the need to dismantle barriers that prevent men from accessing support, especially in high-pressure roles as providers and leaders in families and society. Mrs. Soludo’s message aligns with her consistent advocacy on health-related matters in the state, including previous efforts on HIV/AIDS awareness and support for vulnerable groups.

SWAN, AnSFA resolve differences, commit to robust collaboration for common good The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Anambra Chapter and the Anambra State Football Association (AnSFA) have resolved their differences and resolved to partner each other in the interest of football and sports generally in the State. The two bodies came out with the resolution after a crucial exclusive meeting between leadership of SWAN led by Chimezie Anaso, its chairman and Chikelue Iloenyosi, the Chairman of AnSFA in Awka on 5, 2026 Recall that the two associations have had a faceoff that lasted for over two years. But the stakeholders who rose from a reconciliatory meeting that lasted over two hours resolved to bury the hatchet and play complementary role with each other for the success of the football and sporting press in Anambra. Those in the meeting were Ikem Asika, Vice President of SWAN, Southeast Zone, Chimezie Anaso, Chairman of SWAN in Anambra, Uche Ndeke, Secretary of SWAN in Anambra, Marvelous Ezenwa, Treasurer of SWAN and Chikelue Iloenyosi (General), Chairman of AnSFA with Dashu Chucks on of his Aides. The parties also agreed to withdraw cases against each other wherever it was reported including the Directorate of State Services. Speaking on the development, Chimezie Anaso said the truce was a positive omen and a turning point for sports in Anambra. He said though there was no alternative to how the parties reacted to the impasse at the time, there was no doubt that there were collateral losses due to the frosty relationship . “This is a new dawn for football and sports in Anambra, it is important to note that it happened organically, there was no mediator, no facilitator, it happened in the fullness of time, so, we thank God. “I thank members of SWAN in Anambra and the national leadership under Isaiah Benjamin for their understanding, solidarity and interventions during this period,” he said. VP SouthEast Zone, Asika, who expressed surprise as to how things went awry, said he was happy that everything was now in the past. “Sports and media are like siamese twins, the misunderstanding was not necessary, so I am happy that we are back because football is an important sport that deserves all the attention it can get. “Chikelue Iloenyosi is a great guy, we have come a long way, there was nothing personal in the faceoff, like the Bible will say , unless the two agree, they cannot work together, so now that we have agreed, it can only be better,” he said. On his part, Chikelue recalled the smooth personal relationship he enjoyed with each member of SWAN and wondered how it collapsed. He said he was fulfilled that the long days of faceoff had come to an end and promised to make SWAN an integral part of his administration going forward. “I hold nothing against anybody, everyone is a personal friend to me so I do not know why we should not work as a team, I am happy that we are back, let bygones be bygones,” he said. ©Signed Chimezie Anaso, Chairman SWAN, Anambra Chikelue Iloenyosi (General), Chairman AnSFA June 7, 2026

. By Daniel Ezeigwe The image of Mrs. Nonye Soludo lifting weights in a gym is more than a fitness photograph; it is a visual representation of a philosophy she has consistently championed since becoming the First Lady of Anambra State. In a country where the spouses of political leaders are often associated with ceremonies and frivolous social functions, Nonye Soludo has built her public identity around a cause that touches every household: Healthy Living. What makes the Anambra First Lady's approach remarkable is that she does not merely advocate wellness from a distance; she embodies it. Looking at her energy, fitness, and youthful appearance, it becomes easier to understand why so many people have embraced her message. She has become living proof of the lifestyle she promotes. Nonye Soludo will turn 56 in July. But her physique, energy, fitness, and youthfulness, take even the most observant mind back to thirties. This is perhaps where she differs from many First Ladies who came before her, both in Anambra State and across Nigeria. While several governor's wives have pursued worthy humanitarian causes, few have built a movement so closely tied to their own daily habits and personal example. The Healthy Living initiative is not driven by publicity alone. It is reflected in her regular participation in exercise sessions, her advocacy for proper nutrition, her promotion of environmental cleanliness, her support for home gardening, and her efforts to tackle malnutrition, and women and girl child empowerment. The authenticity of the movement is difficult to ignore because its chief advocate visibly practices what she preaches. The results are becoming increasingly evident. Across Anambra State, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo has evolved from a slogan into a massive social movement. Thousands now participate in community workout sessions. Families are being encouraged to embrace healthier diets. School children are learning healthier habits. Communities are becoming more conscious of sanitation and environmental hygiene. Initiatives such as the distribution of healthy food products and Hybrid Non-GMO seeds for household gardening have further expanded the reach of the campaign. Whether measured by awareness, participation, or public engagement, the movement has achieved a level of visibility and grassroots acceptance that is uncommon for advocacy programmes associated with any First Lady in the history of Anambra State. For many observers, this is what makes Nonye Soludo different from a conventional governor's wife. She has transformed the platform of First Lady into a vehicle for behavioural change, using personal example as her strongest tool of influence. One may debate who has achieved the most among Nigeria's First Ladies, but there is little doubt that Nonye Soludo has carved out a distinctive place for herself. In an era when public trust is often earned through action rather than words, Nonye Soludo's commitment to healthy living has made her not just an advocate, but the face of a movement that continues to reshape attitudes and lifestyles across Anambra State.

I have capacity to stop Idemili North/South Federal Constituency Erosion Menace” Ikechukwu Okonkwo. Hon. Ikechukwu Okonkwo, the Action Alliance (AA) candidate for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, has declared that he is the only candidate among those contesting for the seat with a clear idea and capacity to tackle the persistent erosion menace ravaging the constituency. Okonkwo made the boast while interacting with journalists as a guest speaker during the monthly congress of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council, held last Thursday, June 4, at the Godwin Ezeemo International Press Centre, NUJ Secretariat complex, Awka. He, however, declined to unveil the specific idea, saying unfolding it now would allow his opponents to steal and campaign with it. He assured that if elected, he would immediately implement the solution to permanently address the long-standing problem. The AA candidate used the forum to outline parts of his legislative agenda, promising to sponsor bills that would attract reliable and affordable electricity to all communities in the constituency to drive industrialisation, especially small-scale industries that would create jobs for the people. He also pledged to pursue legislation for a well-knit security maintenance system to guarantee the safety of residents, attract federal presence through educational scholarship schemes for the less privileged, and facilitate employment opportunities in federal agencies. Hon. Okonkwo, who revealed that he was one of the founders of the Village Boys Movement, promised to maintain strong synergy with the NUJ to enhance the welfare of journalists. He further vowed to push for free tax waivers for low-income traders, especially given that the constituency hosts about five major markets in the state. “I am not going to the House of Representatives to relax. I am going there to work to ensure that the problem of my constituency is addressed. I am going to pursue the welfare of all,” he stated. Earlier, the Chairman of NUJ Anambra State Council, Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu PhD, commended Okonkwo for his courage to contest the election and wished him success, stressing that the partnership would take him to greater heights in his political journey. In a lecture on her journey into journalism, a senior journalist and South East Bureau Chief of Champion Newspapers, Kasie Abone, emphasised the importance of personal carriage, truthful reporting, honesty, and standing for the oppressed as the hallmarks of professionalism in the profession. She urged journalists to use their platform for the betterment of society rather than for self-glory. Prominent members of the union who attended the June congress included NUJ National Icon and Anambra Matriarch, Prof. Chinyere Stella Okunna, among others. Hon. Ikechukwu Okonkwo was flanked by his friend, Eduna Chinedu Joshua, who is contesting for Ezza North Constituency, Ebonyi State House of Assembly, under the NDC.

*THE ANAMBRA CRUCIBLE: WHY SOLUDO’S WAR ON “FAKES” IS A BATTLE FOR THE SOUL OF SOCIETY* By Christian ABURIME Amidst the socio-economic frenzy of modern Nigeria, where quick fixes are often valorised over hard work and sensational success frequently eclipses genuine achievement, many may find it hard to choose a different path. Yet, at different levels of society, one can find those who dare to “beat them” rather than “join them”. And one can still see leaders who would not condone the travesty of right values. One such mindful, uncompromising leader is the intrepid Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR. He is not your regular governor neither is he your regular politician; he is an uncommon leader wired differently to make the society better for the people. Reason he is engaged in a profound project of values reformation. His recent legal offensive against eight pastors staging “arrangee” miracles, following his earlier crackdown on fraudulent native doctors and fake Ph.D. holders, reflects a decisive shift from passive administration to active moral restoration. This is no longer just about enforcing law and order; it is about dismantling a culture of fraud that has long permeated Nigerian society. By targeting these three pillars of deception, namely the Pentecostal charlatan, the quack herbalist, and the credential fraudster, Governor Soludo is sending an unambiguous message: In Anambra, integrity is non-negotiable. What makes Governor Soludo’s approach so compelling is its holistic understanding of the Nigerian psyche. He recognises that the desire for instant gratification manifests in three distinct, yet interconnected, forms: the spiritual fraud, which exposes the dark underbelly of the prosperity gospel, and where faith is commodified and miracles are staged by paid actors; the native doctor quackery, peddling unproven magical breakthroughs to quick riches and power; and the academic impostor, featuring fake Ph.D. holders who hit at the foundation of meritocracy. Thus, Governor Soludo’s relentless battles against the foregoing social evils form a strategic triad aimed at curing the societal malaise of ‘Get Rich Quick’ mentalities that have plagued Nigeria for decades with the philosophy that the end justifies any means. Whether through 419 fraud, religious deception, or academic forgery, the goal was always rapid wealth acquisition without the friction of discipline or skill acquisition. Governor Soludo’s values reformation drive seeks to invert this calculus. By bringing the offenders before the courts, he is demonstrating that wealth gained through deception is temporary and carries the heavy cost of imprisonment and social stigma. True success is built on competence, hardwork and integrity -- whether in religion or academia. And ethics is a competitive advantage, creating a society where trust lowers transaction costs and fosters real economic growth. In other words, the Soludo administration is effectively telling Ndi Anambra and Nigerians at large: “You do not need to stage a miracle to get money. You do not need to fake a degree to get a job. You do not need to hoodwink our youth with a false magical power.” Instead, the path to prosperity is through education, skill development, and honest labour. Critics might argue that the state government is overstepping into the realm of religion or tradition. However, Governor Soludo’s consistent legal framework, invoking the Homeland Security Law and anti-fraud statutes, grounds these actions firmly in civil order and public protection. He is not banning faith or traditional medicine; he is criminalising fraud. There is a profound difference between a pastor praying for healing and a pastor hiring actors to claim they were healed for financial gain. This distinction is crucial. Governor Soludo is defending the sanctity of genuine belief and practice by purging the imposters who exploit them. And the implications extend far beyond Anambra. As the first governor in Nigeria to systematically dismantle these three fronts of fraud almost simultaneously, Governor Soludo is offering a blueprint for other states. He is proving that cultural change is possible, and it requires political courage and judicial precision. Of course, the journey ahead won’t be easy. Changing a culture or entrenched social orientation takes more than arrests; it requires a sustained effort to build institutions that reward honesty. But the seeds are being sown. Every time a fake native doctor is remanded, every time a staged miracle is exposed in court, and every time a fake Ph.D. holder loses their reputation, the social contract is strengthened. Governor Soludo’s fight is ultimately a fight for the soul of society and that of future generation. If Anambra can successfully pivot from a society of “fakers” to one of “makers,” it will achieve something greater than economic indicators alone. It will restore the dignity of labour and the sanctity of truth. And in doing so, it may well light the way for the rest of Nigeria to finally move beyond the era of quick fixes and enter an age of sustainable, ethical prosperity. In Anambra, the verdict is already being written: No more fakes!

The Anambra State government has arraigned 8 pastors for allegedly hiring paid actors to stage fake “arrangee” miracles in their churches. In a bold move to sanitize the religious space in the state, the Attorney General of Anambra State, Mr Tobechukwu Nweke SAN , who is the prosecution councsel arraigned the eight pastors before the High Court of Anambra State. The clerics were remanded in prison custody after the arraignment, with the matter adjourned to 15th June 2026 for hearing and determination of any bail applications. They were charged in Charge Nos: A/65C/26, A/55C/26, A/63C/26, A/64C/26, A/57C/26, A/60C/26, A/58C/26, and A/61C/26 for offences bordering on wielding fake supernatural powers and using places of worship for criminal activities, contrary to Sections 18(3) and 19(1) of the Anambra State Homeland Security Law, 2025, as well as obtaining by false pretence contrary to Section 3(1) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, LFN 2006. Some of the pastors were charged alongside their agents, who allegedly procured vulnerable individuals paid to pretend they had received miraculous healings and deliverances during church programmes. The proof of evidence filed by the prosecution counsel includes video recording of their confessional statements, captured on a flash drive, which the state says it will rely upon at the trial. The Attorney General, Mr Nweke SAN, confirmed in an interview that the confessional statements form a critical part of the evidence already frontloaded, describing the charges as part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to end the exploitation of desperate citizens through staged miracles ,a practice he likened to the activities of fake native doctors which the government is also vigorously prosecuting. The eight pastors and their respective ministries are: Ndubisi Nnachukwu of Omega Dominion Ministry , Ekeleme Chris Ugochukwu of Cloud of Glory Prophetic Ministry , Bishop Emeka Nwamkpa of Chapel of Faith Ministry and Peter Chukwu of Messiah Adoration Ministry. Others are Chinedu Egwuonwu of Citadel of Grace Ministry , Ebele Nnachukwu of Jehovah the Mighty Than All Ministry , Miracle Iruoma of City of Power Ministry and Chukwukadibia Ogwuama of Land of Testimony Adoration Ministry.

Delivering President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s message at the 2026 National Children’s Day Celebration held at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, Governor Soludo stressed that social development must always occupy the centre stage of national growth. The Governor noted that his administration is paying greater attention to the voices and opinions of young people. He reaffirmed the present government’s resolve to build a governance structure that actively includes children, describing them as critical stakeholders in shaping not only their own future but the destiny of the nation. Earlier in her welcome address, the Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs. Esther Onyekesi, said this year’s celebration, themed Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child,” is a timely call for collective action to ensure no child is left behind, irrespective of gender, disability, or social status. Mrs. Onyekesi commended the wife of the Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, for her immense contributions to child welfare through the Ministry and the Nonye Soludo Healthy Living Initiative. She disclosed that the state government is stepping up advocacy against child abuse, human trafficking, child labour, street hawking by minors, and all forms of violence against children. The colourful event attracted the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, and his wife, as well as top government functionaries. Highlights included a march-past by pupils from various schools across the state and the cutting of the Children’s Day cake. This year’s celebration once again underscores the Soludo administration’s belief that the future of Anambra and Nigeria lies in deliberately investing in the welfare and inclusion of every child.

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has urged the National Sports Commission (NSC) to immediately inaugurate its 17-member governing board. Established in 1964, SWAN, the umbrella body for all Sports Editors, Reporters, Producers, and Presenters, warned that the Commission is operating in gross violation of its establishing law with the delay of a properly constituted NSC board. SWAN President, Mr. Isaiah Benjamin, in a statement through Secretary-General Amb. Ikenna Okonkwo, on Sunday, said the Commission has been functioning without a statutory board since its creation in October 2024, contrary to the NSC Establishment Act 2023. “As a statutory board member of the NSC, I'm compelled to urge the Chairman and Director-General to take all necessary steps to inaugurate the board without further delay,” President Benjamin said. “Operating without a duly constituted board for nearly a year is not only a breach of the law but also undermines transparency and accountability.” He said Section 2(1) of the Act “is very clear” on the composition of the board, which includes representatives from ministries, sports bodies, the organised private sector, academia, medical field, military, persons with disabilities, the Nigeria Football Federation, the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria, and SWAN. “There is no lawful way to run the National Sports Commission without a properly constituted board. “All major decisions made since October 2024 lack legal backing in the absence of the board,” he added. The SWAN President also linked the situation to a wider pattern of governance lapses in Nigerian sports, citing ongoing litigation involving the Nigeria Football Federation and controversies surrounding the Athletics Federation of Nigeria elections. “The NSC cannot continue to function as a two-man entity – comprising only the Chairman and the Director-General – while 15 other constitutionally mandated positions remain unfilled. “This issue will remain on the front burner until the law is obeyed,” he warned. SWAN further lamented the neglect of the association in the scheme of operations, particularly in overseeing the engagement of experienced, qualified, and skilled Communication Managers to handle media operations of various sports federations. According to President Benjamin, this would “complement the service of the NSC, enhance promotion, and boost the digital marketability of sports for sponsorship drives.” He added, “Ignoring SWAN’s expertise in this regard is a missed opportunity to leverage professional sports journalism for national sports growth.” SWAN also noted that a situation where National and International events are carried out unilaterally without necessary inputs by the professional sports media body was unacceptable. "One of the major reasons why President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his wisdom approved a National Sports Commission is to enable accelerated and holistic growth and development of Sports in Nigeria. What obtained in the past when sports was under Ministry or bureaucratic encumbrances is supposed to be a thing of the past with the emergence of NSC. "A situation where unnecessary political/non-professional application or approach is deployed in the day-to-day operations of the Sports Commission is by far not the way to go," the statement said.

Our attention has been drawn to a video making the rounds on the social media concerning the visit of a Celebrity Martin’s Vincent Otse a.k.a VeryDarkMan, over the proposed candle light for our beloved brother Martins Onyekesi, the late CEO of The Fish Magnet. Indeed, it is a very sad and pathetic situation we encountered in the unprovoked and brutal killing of the hardworking young man who has formed a great hope for his family, ndi Anambra and Nigerians alike, especially in the area of Food Security; and many other victims of the hydra headed monster that has befallen us. May their great and lovely souls rest in peace; Amen. Its our resolve to use this opportunity to emphatically state as follows: 1. Ndi Anambra, both indigenes and residents, regrettably acknowledge the fair share of the National Insecurity in Nigeria and beyond; and we are assiduously working with the appropriate quarters especially State Government and Security Agencies to curb and check the menace of Insecurity in our beloved Anambra State- Light of the Nation. 2. As we welcome fellow Nigerians to our peace loving state, especially those who are coming for the candlelight in honor of our beloved Brother Matthias Onyekesi, we must admonish everybody in attendance to conduct themselves in peaceful manner as we do not want acts or utterances that can heat up the polity. 3. We have intercepted the video of Matthias Vincent Otse a.k.a VeryDarkMan(VDM), telling his fans how to bury him if he comes to Anambra and get killed. We frown at those misguided utterances and hereby strongly admonish him to withdraw such statements. We live here in Anambra state. This is not the first time VDM is coming to Anambra State. In as much as we face peculiar challenges in South East, it is unpatriotic and politically motivated to incite our people and de-market Anambra State and South East with the insinuations and mockery of “sit at home and death”. 4. This is an election year, tensions are already high and we cannot sit back and watch politicians use VeryDarkMan to destabilize and provoke unrest in Anambra State. We therefore condemn any form of unguided March in the name of Candlelight procession. This is to ensure adequate security and retain the existing stability in the state. The candlelight procession should be done in an enclosed and protected location in order to maximize impact and serve the purpose. 5. Sequel to the above, we call on the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Security Agencies especially the action Commissioner of Police Anambra State, to rise up to the occasion and take responsibility by providing a suitable venue such as Ekwueme Square for the Candlelight procession and also provide adequate Security for all of us that shall attend the event as scheduled. 6. In conclusion, Security is everybody’s business as no one is immune to insecurity. You are either affected directly or indirectly. Therefore we urge Ndi Anambra, both indigenes and residents, not to play politics with the Security of lives and property, as it is our collective responsibility to instill a stable and better Society that shall be the pride of the black Man. 7. Together, Ala Igbo Shall Prevail. Signed: Mazi Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Anambra State Chapter

Arc. Dr. Kaycee Orji opens ROXETTES PLAZA & Industrial Flagship Facilities in Enugu. His welcome speech. It is with deep gratitude and a heart full of purpose that I welcome you all to this grand commissioning ceremony of ROXETTES PLAZA and our Industrial Flagship Facilities here in Enugu. This event is more than just the opening of a commercial complex. It is a statement—one that reflects our belief in building Africa from within, and planting the seeds of innovation that can germinate into global-scale industries right here on African soil. Our journey did not start here. It began K.Kh Contractors (Nig.) Ltd, a company I founded during my university years. From designing houses to constructing roads, it laid the foundation for everything we are today. We moved on to PAINT ROXETTES and HOMIROX BUDGET PAINTS, where we now run a state-of-the-art paint factory with a production capacity of over 40 tons per day. This has not only created jobs but also drastically reduced Nigeria’s dependency on imported paint products. At this very location, we also house a calcium carbonate processing plant, producing 4,320 metric tons annually, to feed our paint and plastics industries—another effort to build our industrial independence. Our CITY PLATES FOODS restaurant and 4-CORNERS SUPERMARKET serve this community and beyond with hygiene, affordability, and hospitality. With time, this plaza may evolve into the service center prototype we once envisioned—a one-stop ecosystem where goods are made, services rendered, and communities transformed. We didn’t stop at civil infrastructure. With Roxettes Motors, we have launched electric vehicles like the SURGE-X, VOLTA-X, and several CNG-powered and gasoline models tailored for African terrain. Our vehicles are built to solve real problems—reliable, affordable, and proudly African. We are also investing heavily in clean energy. Our CNG compression and distribution project, along with conversion centers, daughter stations, and CNG generators, is a leap towards reducing fossil fuel dependency. In August 2025, you will be able to charge your EVs at ultra-fast EV charging stations installed right here at ROXETTES PLAZA. And then comes our next digital revolution—BEEZENDS, our soon-to-launch Fintech Super App. This platform combines digital banking, SME tools, social communication, stock management, payroll, ride-hailing, and much more. It’s a unified solution built for the African economy—and by extension, for the world. Let me emphasize: we’re not trying to do too much. We’re simply responding to the deficits of our region and doing what we can—one dream at a time. Each project under THE ROXETTES GROUP is a call to action to the Nigerian youth and to all visionaries across the continent. We must stop waiting for the government to fix everything. The strength of a nation lies in its citizens—in their ideas, their courage, and their sacrifice. We are building structures now so that when temptation comes to run away, we will always remember we have more reasons to stay and rebuild. It is this spirit that aligns deeply with the vision of His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. Through the Honorable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mrs. Ugochi Madueke, who stands in for him today, we acknowledge the governor’s commitment to industrial tourism, private sector-led development, and sustainable growth. Our mission at ROXETTES harmonizes with his vision for Enugu and for Nigeria. We thank all our friends, supporters, customers, and dignitaries who have walked this path with us—from partners in government and finance to fellow entrepreneurs and community leaders. As we commission this plaza today, we are not just opening a building—we are declaring that Africa can rise, build, and compete. From Enugu to the world, let this be a spark. Thank you, and welcome to ROXETTES.

Obi Donates ₦50 Million to Alma Mater, Replies Edo Governor Former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, on Thursday presented a cheque of ₦50 million to his alma mater, Christ the King College (CKC), Onitsha, for infrastructural development. The donation, made in collaboration with some fellow Old Boys of the school, was aimed at supporting educational development and improving learning conditions at the institution. Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Obi addressed recent comments made by the Governor of Edo State, Sen. Monday Okpebholo regarding his visits to the state without prior notice.“I am not afraid of visiting any state in Nigeria, particularly when the purpose is to support causes that contribute to nation building, such as education, health, and poverty alleviation,” Obi said. He emphasised that his visit to Benin, which he would repeat if need be, was solely to support the development of healthcare services and expressed disappointment that such an act was politicised. “I went to Benin to invest in a better life for the people.
