Perhaps the reconstruction was not properly communicated to the traders and the traders sense ulterior motives. Otherwise, a right thinking trader should even reach out to government for help with this level of degradation. |

I can afford a carton of chocolate but I won't buy it at once for my child, I can afford a crate of soft drink but I won't buy it for my child at once. some stuffs are affordable but are not expedient. Much more than affordability, a child should earn what he or she has developed capacity to handle. Even with God, some prayers are not answered simply because your capacity is not yet developed to handle them. |

Hmmm "if" you just said but i can smell a missing piece in your argument because history has a way of repeating itself. It's not just about party, religion or tribal sentiment it's about political strategy. Buhari has a way of playing sentimental politics, he did it in last election bringing on a yoruba speaking pastor as running mate but the question is: does he has a strategy that his followers believe in? Ask Wenger against Chelsea coach Jose perhaps he can explain better. Also don't forget political awareness has reached a state whereby people can separate their loyalty between a governorship and presidential candidate meaning for the mere fact that a state has APC governor doesn't mean Buhari has their vote. Don't be surprise that the vote of Redeem church can split into two. People don't vote for you because you are righteous in your eyes people vote because of the plan you have for them. So i think Buhari should stop propagating his righteousness but come out with political strategy that will move Nigeria forward. If it's better than what GEJ can offer then we shall vote and if not, he can please park well |
Business › Re: Killers Of A Start-up Business by Greenage: 12:10am On Dec 22, 2014 |
Webbyguy: When starting a business it’s either you make succeed at it or you fail, but it’s possible you succeed at it. There are some things you should avoid which can kill a small business, I call them killers of a start-up business. I have listed some below, you can go through it. Unrealistic action A lot of business owners that are just starting up take unrealistic action most times. Take for example, a business owner who wants to start a credit firm with the aim of lending people money and they pay interest. That’s a nice business idea but if it is not backed up with realistic actions, it won’t work. The business owner might be focusing on doing online marketing and ignoring offline marketing. I’m not saying doing online marketing alone cannot work but sometimes it takes time to build your business reputation online. So the best solution is to do both online and offline marketing. As a business owner you need to take realistic steps that will yield result. You should use a sure method that will get you the desired results you want; you don’t need to take actions you are not sure of because it’s just like you gambling. Unrealistic goals Another thing that can kill a start-up business is setting unrealistic goals. Imagine someone who is just starting a business and already setting goals to make billions in profit for the first month running. It is possible and at the same time it’s unrealistic. When you set unrealistic goals, you easily get fed up following up with your goals. When you set goals and you don’t achieve 2% of your goals in the first month, you’ll easily get discouraged because you feel you are not strong enough to compete in that field, at the end of the day, you might likely forget about the goals you’ve set and give up it because you’re not making much progress. Its better you set realistic goals and break them down into weekly and monthly goals, this will help you keep track of how far you’ve gotten with your set goals. No planning A lot of business owners go into business without having a definite plan, they just believe things will work out with them putting the necessary effort needed. They think business works like magic; they just want to get results without starting with any plan. Imagine someone who’s starting a transportation business and the does not have a specific route he intends to work, he does not have an idea of his target market and does not have enough information about that line of business that person is likely to fail. When starting a business, it’s good to plan ahead before you start business, this will save you cost and time. Planning should be a continuous routine and not just something you do once. You should do your planning daily, weekly and monthly.

Politics › Re: Nigerian Army Kills Large Number Of Terrorists In Borno by Greenage: 12:03am On Dec 22, 2014 |
olassy239: The Nigerian Army has confirmed the death of a large number of Boko Haram terrorists after an encounter with the insurgents between Maiduguri and Damboa towns on Borno State on Friday.
The military however noted that “a mopping operation will determine the number of terrorists who died in the encounter with troops on patrol”.
The clash followed the troops’ move to stop the terrorists who were in the process of attacking the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) Engineers who were working to restore power to parts of Borno State.
“A large number of the terrorists died in the process while their IED laden Hilux vehicle was destroyed”, the army said in statement published on their website.
The troops also captured a Hilux vehicle earlier stolen by the terrorists from the Borno State Ministry of Education which they have repainted and mounted with an Ant- Aircraft Gun.
Other weapons recovered by troops include Rocket Propelled Grenades and rifles, but “two soldiers died in the encounter”.
Meanwhile, Military Engineer Troops, who have been clearing terrorists IEDs and effecting repairs on bridges, repelled an attack while working on a bridge around Husara, killing several terrorists in the encounter.
A total of 4 General Purpose Machine Guns, 3 rifles and 2 Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher were captured from the terrorists during the encounter.
One soldier however died while 3 others were wounded in the encounter. The army further maintained that “troops are conducting land patrol of towns including Mubi, Uba, Garkida, Muva and others in Adamawa State as the advance by coordinated air and land operations continues in areas where the counter terrorists campaign is ongoing to clear terrorists operating in the state. ok |

Politics › Re: An APC President Will Tackle Nigeria’s Infrastructural Challenge – Tinubu by Greenage: 11:53pm On Dec 21, 2014 |
olassy239: A leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tinubu, says the party will tackle the infrastructural challenge in Nigeria if voted into power in the 2015 presidential election.
Senator Tinubu was speaking at Ewohimi, in Esan South East Local Government Area on Sunday while commissioning the General Hospital built by the Edo State government in that community. In his speech, the Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, said the state government would engage the services of five consultants to man the hospital.
He said that the hospital would help provide quality healthcare services to indigenes of the state living within the area.
The hospital is part of the party’s infrastructural development plan to make healthcare available to all Nigerians, one area that the former Lagos State governor, Senator Tinubu, said the party would also focus on if voted into power in 2015. The APC on December 11 elected General Muhammadu Buhari as the presidential candidate of the party.
General Buhari will contest against the ruling party’s candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan. Is lagos state made already? |

zizazizu: So, we pardon these blood thirsty demonic terrorists while the soldiers that fought them on our behalf are being sentenced to death? I tire for GEJ thinking sometimes sha.
I know we are supposed to be human and all that but I mean, come on! Rehabilitate those animals? Is Federal Government now telling us we can do evil and then surrender for them to take care of us? Why do Nigeria always have to be freaking different? When will we learn? After "re-radicalising" these monsters, we now let them back to the streets from whence they came to terrorize us! No! My honest, simple submission? Kill them all! Everyone of them. That's called grace! A man is righteous not because he's strong or has never sinned but because he has accepted help and surrender his so called strength. No wonder the thief on the cross obtained mercy and some religious leaders called Pharisees did not. Hmmm! Blessed is the man whom God has not imputed his trespasses |
