Anyway, your wish na just wish. E go still take you like around 3-4 weeks to get ur SSN which is needed to get a job regardless. If you have a 9ja DL you can start driving (depending on ur state's law) pending ur U.S DL.

My honest advice is... if you really need a career NOT just a job, go back to school.. even if you have ur 9ja degree... just go back to school to further ur education.

There's no magic or shortcut to it UNLESS you're an IT guru or plan to focus in that field.

That you paid for your green card doesn't mean you are a green card holder yet. You CANNOT get married till you go into the US and get your green card. And if you do and you somehow scale through without their knowledge now, it will still come out when you are filing for her because your marriage certificate will show when you married and when you entered the US. My advise is dont complicate issues for yourself especially if it's something avoidable and straightforward as this is. It won't only affect her filing, it will affect your status.

tj28, just explained to you that you CAN NOT get married until you have relocated to the U.S and collected your green card. Even of you have paid for the green card here. You must remain Unmarried until you have gone to the U.S , then collect your green card and then come back and get married to your girlfriend. You want to Use your own hand to Void your Visa? Good luck with that.

I've just been granted an Immigrant visa. I don't know much about the categories. But my mum filed for me.
I was unmarried as at the time I collected my visa. I hope to get married before I travel out to my fiancé so I can file for her once I'm able to start the process over there.
