MizMyColi: Good day, everyone,
Some of us may recall when I came here to ask questions regarding a study permit for my brother. We applied the first time and got refused. Then we made some improvements and applied again. He was denied, but it didn't sit well with us because we fulfilled all the requirements.
We decided to opt for a judicial review, and everyone was praying. The court told us (through our lawyer) that IRCC had agreed to settle, and another officer would determine the case. We then got an email from IRCC asking for updated documents. Our lawyer was kind enough to stick with us through it all. He even provided us a cover letter which we submitted alongside the additional documents. Ordinarily, our contract with him expired when we got the settlement outcome, and he wasn't legally obligated to help us any further. But he did and guided us till we got the PPR!
Now, my little challenge is where to tell my brother to submit his passport. When I got PR back then, we used to get news of which VAC was faster. But I am not sure what is obtainable these days.
Please, between Lagos VAC and Abuja VAC, which is the best one to submit a passport after getting PPR for a Canada study permit?
If you submitted your passport recently, how long did it take to get back your passport? School starts in January, so we hope to conclude this part as soon as possible. Also, I have seen the documents to bring along for the passport submission, but I would appreciate your help with the list of documents as well, just to ensure we are not missing anything.
Thanks so much in advance. Depends on where he did his biometrics, if lagos then he can go and submit it there, though I used a courier(DHL) it took about 14 days for me to get mine back. |

LOOK, IF YOU THINK THAT BRITAIN AND AMERICA ENDED SECOND WORLD WAR THEN YOU MUST BE A JOKER...... IN WW2, WHAT HAPPENED ON THE WESTERN FRONT WAS A CHILD'S PLAY, THE REAL WAR WAS FOUGHT ON THE EASTERN FRONT BY THE SOVIET ARMY. INFACT IT WAS THE SOVIET ARMY THAT KILLED 87% OF NAZI GERMAN MILITARY IN WW2, IT WAS THE SOVIET THAT LIBERATED THE JEWS, IT WAS THE SOVIET THAT FIRST REACHED BERLIN BEFORE THE WESTERN MILITARY RUSHES IN TO STOP SOVIET FROM EMBARRASSING THEIR BROTHER GERMANY.
RUSSIA DON'T KNOW HOW TO START WAR AND THEY ARE TOO SLOW TO ENTER INTO WAR,.. BUT WHEN THEY FINALLY ENTIRE INTO WAR,THEY WILL PERMANENTLY END IT ON THEIR OWN TERMS.
IF YOU TALK OF DEMOCRACY, GIVE IT TO THE WEST. BUT IF YOU TALK OF WAR, GIVE IT TO RUSSIA.
I WILL STILL SAY THAT THE ONLY LUCK THAT UKRAINE HAD IS THAT THEY ARE RELATED TO RUSSIAN BY BLOOD (I.E UKRAINE, RUSSIA AND BELARUS ARE ALL SLAVIC BROTHERS). IF IT Was POLAND THAT DID WHAT UKRAINE IS DOING WITH RUSSIA, THERE WILL BE NO POLAND LEFT. RUSSIA DON'T TAKE PRISONERS, THEY END IT IN WAR FRONT. Are you distorting history or is this just ignorance? How can you downplay the inpact of Britain in worldwar II? Do you even know Russia and Germany had a pact to share invaded Poland among themselves but it went south because of the distrust between Hilter and Stalin? The cold in Russia helped them in operation Barbarossa and not their superior weaponery or technology. Russia is a fine nation in term of tech right but the Germans in 1945 were way better. And the US involvement in the "Already stretched" war with the first Atomic bomb was a master stroke. Please don't attribute the success to Russia in that matter. It was Then USSR and The present day UKRAINE played a pivotal role in the war. |

That's a bad publicity Oga na lie. If you are a progressive being you ll know that the reality of life is productivity and not prayers. Nigerians especially those that havent traveled out thinks the world goes to bed by 5pm... you cant compare a country that produces for 18hrs at least daily with Nigeria which wakes up by 8am and sleeps by 5pm... I have been in a system where by productive activities are on for a minimum of 20hrs daily. I will vote for increase productivity even if the person championing it is an orangutan. Mind you, I am a Catholic and not just a Christian. |

GgovCa: If you are submitting your passport in person, you do not need to book an appointment. You can walk into the VFS center in Lagos and submit your passport directly, especially if you have already completed your biometrics at that location.
If you also wish to pick up your passport in person, you will not need DHL services. Thanks |

MarksmanD: According to what the DHL guys told me, you can't use anyhow DHL. Theirs is the only one that can collect your passport on behalf of VFS. I don't live in Lagos too that was why I asked if I could've used any DHL office and they said no. Meaning i have to get to lagos. If that be the case I can drop it off. Den pay for them to courier it back. I did that last year. I was trying to save my self from going to lagos Thanks all the same and I might visit DHL to hear from them too. Thanks bro. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Greyworld: 8:22pm On Oct 31, 2024 |
MarksmanD: Beside the VFS office building, there's a DHL office. Go straight there and tell them you want to submit your passport. The DHL guys would give you a consent form to fill. Go along with the passport data page photocopy that was returned back to you when you did your biometrics by VFS. Also go along with your PPR request printout and another photocopy of your passport data page. Transit fee and DHL commission fee cost 20,500. If you want DHL to send the passport to your house after stamping, you'll be paying a return fee of 30,000. That's 50,500. But if you don't want DHL to dispatch your passport to your house, then you pay only 20,500. DHL would give you a tracking information document and would return the second photocopy of your passport data page to you. When you come for pickup, come along with the tracking information document and the photocopy of your passport data page. On this passport data page, write your tracking number on it. When I did mine, I submitted on a Monday and VFS sent me a pickup mail on Thursday. Make sure you get to VFS office before 1PM to submit, because DHL sends out all the passports to Abuja by 3PM. Also when you come for your pickup, come before 4PM. Good luck. Okay.. thnks a lot. I will go to the DHL office aroud here cos im not in lagos. |

This is why I laugh at people who think if there is war in Nigeria it would be in one region
With videos on YouTube Me personally with my basic mechanical engineering knowledge can design a rocket that would strike sokoto from say rivers state... The only issue would be argets precision
Solid carbon fuels and I can play with oxidizers to get the right ratio, tho few hours in dark web can get me that
The most complex aspect is nozzle design and material selection which is why I said 6 months after that mass production can start
All this things are on YouTube you can search them n learn, no hidden science here... Reasons why I said Nigerian government should be careful with those ESN guys, if intelligent igbos decide to join them it might be too bloody ooh Easy man. |

Magnumproperty: What goes around comes around. Tinubu played politics with GEJ's decision in 2012. What we ought to have overcome is what we are now experiencing now.
Past Presidential candidates in the last general elections all said they will remove subsidy save for Kwakwanso. But floating of the naira and removing subsidy is such a huge burden for the citizens to bear. It is well. Yea. I understand as a politician winning the election is important but playing politics with the subsidy removal in 2012 is why Tinubu is struggling today with his government. Imagine subsidy was removed since 2012 we wont be discussing it today in 2024 and someone who sacrificed our collective good for his personal ambition should NEVER lead. |
Politics › Re: Abdulsalami Told President Tinubu The Plain Truth by Greyworld: 2:18pm On Oct 01, 2024 |
Magnumproperty: Subsidy should continue then. We should keep paying for subsidy on PMS since it is the backbone of the economy. When there is no more money to finance subsidy again. Everybody go rest. You see why Tinubu ll fail, when Jonathan removed the subsidy in 2012 PMS never made it to 200 naira per litre but this same Tinubu led an insurrection against Jonathan and Buhari came on board. The rest they say is story. You cant bring someone down and expect a rosy ride upward. In just one year in office there have been more protest against Tinubu's administration than all the presidents from 1999. |
