Hope he has learnt his lesson and knows his place. He belongs to the third class .... He shouldn't ever think of anything stupid like this again One day when the tables turn, hope you and or your descendants can endure it. |

CoronaVirusPro: Bunkum and balderdash!
Did he replicate same gestures in Anambra, and what was his achievements and legacy`s?
Coming from same man who stashed money in safe havens to avoid taxes and investigation!
Anyone can scribble the gibberish he put up there.
From the way Peter talks, one would think he has some outstanding legacy`s on ground which puts him in position to make such composition, but the reverse is the case. Even the present Governor of Anambra attested to the fact that, poverty increased in the state during his administration, and here we have same Peter oinking on what's not! Let's forget who said what, do you think Nigeria should spend all those money flying people to Dubai yes or No. |

sreamsense: What is Omokri saying? Oba never respected himself by saying that kind of things in the public in the first place. He allowed igbo distorted history about Lagos to enter his head and came out to say that kind of things in the public. So, oba is also conveting Lagos to the extent of saying that kind of things out in this 21st century. Why saying that out in the first place since he knows such history can't achieve any meaninful result? And in your mind mentioning igbos will make you prosper? It's between yourba and Bini. Dont be too swift to mention igbos in everything. Don't be unfortunate. |

sotall: Which of the King are you shading?
If Pre-colonial Nigeria had two or more Kings like the Oba of Benin, Nigeria wouldn't exist today and that would have been better for those known as Nigerians today.
Did anyone from present day Southeast Nigeria put up a fight against the British/colonialism?
None... Why would I shade a king?? I dont care about them since a governor can chase them from their Ancestral home. My point is the warrant chiefs statement, its not relevant. |

The Igbo hatred is what I love ... people hate what they can’t conquer
So it’s confirmed Reno will die a very bitter man.. conquering the Igbo spirt is like climbing Mt Everest naked .
Those warrant chief .. get wetin his lineage of itsehkiri kings never had.
Reno need proper and sound re educating .. not just his drugged hallucinated mind The guy is a dunce... like shading Igbo in a matter thats between two other tribe is petty. For crying out loud no body cares where or who first ruled any body in 2023. The British prime minister is Indian, a Kenyan was American president for 8 solid years and no body knows the History, birth place or date, Parents or real name of Nigeria's current president. |

Racoon: Real savage shades I tell ya. If not foolishness, pray tell what the shade is about. He is pained he is not Igbo. The warrant chiefs or not Indirect rule failed in the east but we know whose kings bowed to the British queen (Princess perhaps) and those that where deposed and exiled. We know also from history those who revolted against imperialism. If the East doesn't have Kings original is nothing to mock, Isreal never had kings but judges. Funny enough, in Nigeria today a king can be deposed by a mare governor even the highly respected Emir/ Emirate of Kano so rest. |

Bankowner: Saying someone is unreasonable and old for expressing concern about some people's inability to have access to news and information on things going on around them is a bit farfetched, or don't you think? Saying someone is a baby because he doesn't know some banks that existed years ago is not just unreasonable but senseless don't you think |

@me Being young is not a crime but our youthful days were more productive and we were more disciplined and more respectful. Even the way you wrote tells what I'm saying.
FYI I'm 58. Still very productive and mentor a lot of young people. It shows how we used our earlier days. The way I wrote is a response to what you said. I believe your children are part of this unproductive generation or are they 58 also?? |

Vision101: All these statements of "I have not heard of these banks" clearly shows that nairaland is populated by babies. No wonder they behave anyhow. Some of these banks were prime banks back then eg ICON Merchant bank. It was a subsidiary of NIDB (Nigerian Investment and Development Bank) owed by the federal government.
How much are you guys paying so that I'll tell you how things worked back then?
I lost quite some money in some of these banks. When money was money. I was an articled clerk (meaning trainee accountant) in accounting practice back then on 150 Broad street. My good friend Ms Patience Oniha (present DG Debt Management Office) was an investment analyst in ICON Merchant bank. She was always taking me out for lunch because she could pay with LV (luncheon voucher)
Yes we rolled back then with beautiful girls with brain not the present slay queens with nothing upstairs. We slept for years in the classroom in order to pass ICAN when ICAN was ICAN. Now that you are old act it , Mr "back then", cause you are sounding like being young is a crime or/ and you were born old with out passing through the being young phase. Moreover nobody is interested in knowing what girls you rolled with back in the days "Sir" |

Those were the days banks were springing up on every nook and cranny of Lagos, even in garages until the CBN raised bank capitalization and they couldn't survive it. And Akpu generation believes every one on nairaland lives or grew up in Lagos. |

No military might can hold Nigeria together, this is not 1980s.
Nigerians already sit on the fence, looking for any flimsy thing to break apart.
I just wonder who Obi want to govern, definitely not Yoruba people, north too will not accept, so everyone will have to govern his region las las But Tinubu can govern Igbo people. You see what you call life |
