GreenandGold: The cabin was not fully penetrated though. The vehicle was in perfect drivable condition when it was abandoned.
The Libyans literally have no fighting doctrine. This is a wheeled IFV not a tank so when you take this vehicle to war you should always keep it in mind. Upon arriving in the battlefield or suspended area of possible conflict, fighters should disembark and form an advancing line of defense on both sides of the vehicle, the vehicle in turn provides them with HMG cover. It is duty of the foot soldiers to protect their vehicles from ambushes or enveloping flanks. However, the Libyan fighters never bothered with any of the above and it was hit at close range.
The duty of an IFV/APC is to act as force multiplier not a bulldozing tank.
NB: the vehicle held well considering the projectile it was hit with. Yep, it's meant to take troops close to the battle and defend itself, not take 23mm rounds. |

shadowprimezero: The Rooivaalks were withdrawn by the UN sometime ago from the DRC die to cost right? That deployment only ended middle 2019. So if we see any further pics of them in the DRC from 2019 they were indeed funded again. |

saengine: You cannot call something that you've never tested a bomb. The SA program was limited to crude nuclear technology, hence they say it would have been similar to Hiroshima or Nagasaki....40 years after the fact.
It was a vast project yes, with lots of technical information that needed to be "dismantled" but not operational or even tested nuclear weapons. Must say I've never read any foreign government or investigative piece that even suggested we did not have nuclear technology and atom bombs, from friendly and unfriendly sources. I also don't understand what's wrong with the delivery method or type of bomb? Most people are killed with knives, invented 1000's of years ago, yet they still kill. |

AskiaHarem: I could be wrong but why don't other ecowas nations especially the francophone ones purchase APCs or small arms and equipment like vests, mortars, bullets etc from Nigeria? They seem to be pretty descent and could probably be sold for a better deal considering the regional union and how fast they could be delivered. Just saying no shade towards SA. Germany paid for the 29 Casspirs. "The Malian Armed Forces yesterday announced that the donated equipment included 29 Casspirs, 4 100 bullet resistant vests, 4 300 combat boots and 2 700 ballistic helmets." https://www.defenceweb.co.za/featured/mali-receives-donated-casspir-armoured-personnel-carriers/ |

mysticwarrior: weak South African soldiers, they got humiliated in Central African Republic by bunch of rebels, they fled without even fighting. Reminds me of the Battle of Kibati in 2013 in the DRC when South Africa on their first major deployment killed the M23 rebellion in one fight, 500 rebel death for ZERO South Africans. How can you not even accidentally kill an enemy soldier. Probably spraying ammunition without aiming. Reminds of the other incident this year when the quick reaction force of the SANDF was ambushed in the DRC, and then took the Congolese base back, even though the rebels held the trenches. 23 Rebels dead, and again, no SA losses. Damn, I think more South Africans die from animal attacks than armed rebels. That's seriously pathetic. |

mysticwarrior: weak South African soldiers, they got humiliated in Central African Republic by bunch of rebels, they fled without even fighting. Actually they killed 700 rebels for only 15 total losses. Shows you 5000 soldiers are worth absolutely nothing against 236 South Africans. Worst military performance in modern military history. CAR should stick to attacking woman and children. Best of all the 5000 rebels called a ceasefire to the 221 South Africans still fighting, hahaha. |

South African Special Forces taken close to the Angolan border in the 80's. Towards the end of their SF training cycle they would do a week bush patrol in enemy territory as part of minor tactics. This is very close to the soldier becoming a certified operator.

jln115: dude it's weekend I literally couldn't be more relaxed. However if you think you're going to take the p1ss out of me, then you're seriously mistaken.
And what I pointed out is 100% a leg of a soldiers(if you can't see then you're blind) . And yes it might not 100% confirm my argument but what it does is it puts serious doubt on your argument. Haha, I see quite a discussion on the photo. Here is the proof you wanted. And a photo of the company commander afterwards.
