texazzpete:A man can dream. i just don't see why i should have to pay for games i already own. This is what makes people do stupid things like hack their consoles. Well actually people do that cos they're cheap but still. . . |
All the launch titles are in cartridge form but i remember reading last year that Sony's plan was to make most of the vita's games PSN downloads eventually. And when you're already buying ps3 CDs dropping another 6k for vita games wont be so cheap. For now though, all i want on the vita is a Sony approved emulator for all my old Ps2 Isos, the ones i made from my salvageable CD's(yeah i was that guy, never lent out my CDs). When there's a bigger catalog of vita games i like, i'll see what i can do about getting the games used, maybe even here on nairaland. |
Really cool game, action rpg, with best of both worlds, action and rpg. Downloaded the pc version 3 days ago, haven't been able to get off it since. Its like skyrim with none of the glitches or crappy combat. Also maybe a slightly smaller world. |
Still tanked, sold even less than the Psp-Go. |
Androids? Iphones? Doesn't matter. Out of every 1,000 mobile game there's 999 angry birds and 1 infinity blade. And i think the playstation phone tanked. |
Oh but handhelds are fun. You miss out on series continuations of series if you don't have handhelds. Fina fantasy, Kingdom hearts, Metal gear solid, all of them have story branches on handhelds (the PSP). Also, if emulators aren't your thing you can play your old PlayStation favorites on the PSP. I'm currently looking for monkey magic, ever play that? Also I'm assuming the vita will be back compatible with PS, PSP and PS2 games. |
I'm not getting one until after it gets properly hacked. Its bad enough that most games on the thing will be downloads and i dont have a good dataplan, i'm just not dropping that much money for mobile gaming. Maybe in 4 - 5 months maybe, when there are more games out. |
Hey infoseye, can i have your number? I just bricked my psp 2003 trying to hack it the same way i hacked my psp 2001. I dont have a pandora battery or a magic memory stick and i dont want to hard-mod mine. I'd like help if you have a pandora battery so your number please. |

At the moment, nothing. I'm really just waiting until i can get my hands on Final Fantasy XIII-2. I have a mace and a bow for that too and i've even learned the skill through enchanting. |
Level 40. Daedra mace and the wabbajack from one of the daedric missions. I stopped playing a few weeks after i started and i really only did the main mission that allowed dragons to start showing up, i.e. the defense of Whiterun. After that i just kept roaming the country looking for pockets to pick and backs to stab. |
OP, dude. . . lay off the crack. |
Currently listening to "a great big sled". |
A couple of months before skyrim was released i remember reading somewhere that you'd be able to ride all sorts of creatures. Horses, wolves and even dragons. That would have been so cool. In skyrim now i've bought 2 horses, and one dog and even got a free horse from a sidequest. They all disappeared on me out of nowhere. A dragon would never do that. Dragons are loyal, when they're not busy destroying towns, terrorizing civilians and filling up your inventory with useless dragon bone junk. |
Whats the deal with this thread? |
Guess i could read the synopsis. When's the release date for 3 again? I'd like to at least finish 2 before i start on 3. |
Yeah, and also i don't like street fighter. I don't even remember why anymore, maybe something about the sidescrolling like gameplay. Naruto ultimate ninja storm 2 isn't a button masher. It has quick gameplay but you still have to think about your moves. |
I tried playing 2, but it was impossible to get into the story when i didnt play one. They say 3 will do a better job with that so maybe i'll try it out. |
Well i haven't played soulcalibur since my ps2 but it was too slow for me then, maybe they've made changes now. Tekken is still slow, that i'm sure about. I like their characters but i can't get into the turn-based combat (yeah it was so slow it was an RPG). |
I've just finished code geass for the 5th time. I've seen samurai champloo, blassreiter, Inuyasha, darker than black, seven, and a bunch of other good ones, now i need another one. I dont like naruto and bleach is just silly. I know this shouldnt be in the gaming section but i figure gamers are more likely to watch anime right? |
Combat is too slow for me, i like dissidia cos its fast. Dragon ball z too, but not as much cos i wasn't a big fan of the anime. |
I dont understand, which one is the scammer? The original poster kwantn or joeydozzey? On another note i actually need a psp for my little brother so if you have one call me up on 08066106982, the name's kayode. I-am-not-a-crook. |
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/121/1217310p1.html Have you ever bought a used car? Do you frequent those loveliest of places, second-hand bookstores? Will you be wearing, at some point soon, a cherished article of clothing purchased from a sweet lady at a thrift store? If you have engaged in any of these practices, welcome friend, to the bustling reality of trade, an element of society that goes back to the Stone Age. But hark, the thundering hooves of evil approach. Microsoft and its busy little pals in games publishing want to put an end to the trade in used games, or at the very least, make it so difficult that it's not worth the effort. If recent reports are to be believed, they want to kill the trade in used games by adding technology to new consoles, like the Xbox 720, that lock-out games that were originally bought by someone else. As Kotaku points out, the details of Microsoft's plan – if it even exists – are sketchy. But there is no doubt that games companies are hell-bent on destroying used games. This is just the latest move in the game industry's war against second-hand games, which are an absolute staple of many gamers and of the retailers that act as middle-men between consumers and producers. Xbox 720 Rumors Explained - Daily Fix Now, let's be clear. There is an ethical issue at the heart of the used games business that's well worth contemplation. When you buy a used game, none of the money goes to the people who actually made that product. You are, in that solitary transaction, depriving a game developer of royalties, wages, investment bucks that he would have gained had you bought the game brand new. Secondly, there is a discomfort in the specifics of almost all these transactions. Retailers take a disgracefully large margin from used games. Anyone who has tried to buy a used game, say, a few weeks after its initial launch must have experienced that gasp of incredulity at the sheer chutzpah of a retailer that tries to screw $5 less than the full price. And then, straight-faced, they will offer a handful of peanut shells for your used game that you bought last week, on launch day, and happened to finish very quickly. But none of this stands against publishers actually blocking a fundamental human right to trade in the goods that they own and have paid for. Here we do get into a technical discussion about the nature of a product. We do not buy copies of Microsoft Office second hand. How is this different from a game? But equally, we do buy used DVDs. How is that different from games. Clearly, it's okay to sell your vinyl collection, but not ok to sell your iTunes music. These are arguments best left to lawyers The fact is that we have been buying, selling, trading, swapping, lending and gifting used boxed games for over 30 years and used physical entertainment for centuries. At this point, yeah, we think it's our right. There is, obviously, an inconsistency in the world that downloadable content is not trade-able, but it does not undo the tradition of trading physical product. There are other arguments. Trade outlet MCV, which represents the interests of retailers, has a good Op-Ed today on how used games keep the games business ticking. In these ferociously difficult economic climes, the ability to trade games is the thing that allows us to buy new games. Many consumers make this same argument based on their own realities. If those gamers stopped buying new games, the policy of war against used games would look Pyrrhic. The argument that used games deprive creative workers from income is a good one. But let's get real here. Most of the creative little people who profit directly from the things they create are making their dough from downloadable games and mobile apps. It is more realistic to imagine that any extra profits drawn from an end to the used game markets winding up in the pockets of fat-cats, rather than the wage-packets of hard-working games developers. This is bad for consumers, bad for gaming and bad for the very people who have embarked on this crazy war. |
Maybe, but Square enix has a lot of projects lined up right now. Final fantasy XIII-2's launch, type-0's localization, Versus XIII and then kingdom hearts 3. It'll be a while before dissidia comes to the vita unless its a direct port of the existing games. |
Olisa74:There's many games on that list for me. Final fantasy xiii-2, the new naruto game, Rising, Kingdoms of amalur, and Final fantasy versus xiii is announced this year. |
@Lord_Reed With my Sephiroth and Lightning combo and my Iai strike, sorry dude you don't have a shot. @ritchboy I tossed my psp too, i just dug it out a couple of weeks ago after tossing it, digging it out and tossing it again like 2 years ago. Did i say tossing too many times? |
Its the best combat game on a dead handheld console. The only reason i still have a psp. |
Nobody? Really? |
I'm looking for butts to whoop but the game never got an infrastructure multiplayer mode. |
I don't understand why people like paradise so much. I'm a big Coldplay fan but i think its the crappiest song they've ever released. For me right now its "a great big sled" by the killers. |
