Netsol refunded me today for the domain names (14 names) they dropped last week.
I mentioned the issue here last week and we thought they won't refund.
I, therefore, think it is proper to announce the refund.

the moment something happens to a $1 domain on your acct that u bought directly from them, U can't escape suspension and eventual acct lock
next time, just go straight to the point and tell them ur acct has been locked and u want a solution, just to avoid wasting unnecessary call time
Yes, unless u are stubborn like i am. coz i have devised new ways to avoid losing $1 domains to them(hope it works), i love risky rides alot, as far it gets me paid.
Dont waste your time on that. Netsol are supposed to send u a mail notifying u of your revoked purchases promising a refund(as should be), but for the past 48hrs+, they dont anymore, which means they are not ready to refund(and may likely not) as they deem what u did as fraud.
your case is small, som1 here already has a buyer for his domain who was about to pay($250), only to realise the domain is no longer in his acct(yet showing his details in whois), i have instructed him to quickly go get the name at Namesilo b4 buyer changes his mind. The strange part now is NETSOL av set the domain as premium for same price the buyer of this guy's domain wanna pay...talk about thievery on NETSOL's part.

he made a sale of recent too. i guess he'll announce himself here when this new deal goes green

I don't think I would buy $1 domain with that account again. I still have 27 names in that account. I don't want to risk being permanently banned. One has to be careful dealing with netsol.
I will just look for a way to register the 14 names they dropped.

fret not. it's not a serious issue, he will just have to call them and pester to av it unlocked. nothing will happen to his other domains.

Netsol are vexing now, they block accts anyhow. So if u make purchases, u gotta be doin it with scopes now. I still buy domains for ppl atleast 30per day but i ensure it's not back to back within a short period of time. it will make them reason u. atimes i'll choose not to buy for straight 10hrs. Hoping they dont av my time

Thanks a lot for this info. I didn't even know my account was locked before reading this post. I tried logging in after reading this post and they claimed my details were wrong just as you said.
I tried to reset my password but to no avail.

So I called them. They sent me a link but when I tried using the link I got an error message (sorry...bla bla...). I called again and another person picked it, he also sent me another link that gave error messages.
It was resolved after calling them for the third time.

But when I regained access to my account, the names I registered last (14 of them) were missing. All were registered on 26th of February.
Those 14 names are now showing "available". That's 5,110 naira.

Can I call them again concerning those names or I should just forget about it and re-register the names?

I think the best thing is to stop using that $1 promo link.

On the whois matter, have you clicked on the "update" button? It's that blue sign that looks like a recycling logo under the domain name itself.

I believe that's the source of the problem. When it's updated, your details should appear as the registrant.

But it's still listed for sale. I will contact afternic so they can remove the listing. Thanks for the love.

If in doubt; try listing d name geo1 on afternic, it will tell u its already been listed

Thats why netsol was showing you premium but godaddy had it open for purchase.

See a little advise to you N odas. Once u get a name, check whois >> anytin wer mk u go type m for godaddy, be ready to checkout. Godaddy or some folks at godaddy ocassionally act funny.

Can someone please explain to me because ayam not understanding o.
Yesterday night, I was adding some names(all hand picked) to the netsol $1 link. When it was time to pay, one of the names showed as a premium name and the price was $8000+. Let me name it geo1
So I removed it believing that someone else took it before I could. The name is geo + car insurance.
After a while, I tried buying another geo + auto insurance using the 1$ link(I will call it geo2) . I got this response that it's a premium name and I should fill my information if I would like to get it from the owner. This time, no price showed.
So I felt something was wrong because I checked both names on whois.com and godaddy 20 minutes earlier and they were available. I rushed back to check geo2 at whois and godaddy and it was available. Tried buying geo2 on netsol again and was told it's a premium name and I should fill a form to get it from the owner.
I felt they were playing games and tried to buy geo2 from godaddy. Surprisingly, it was successful (the 10 pounds wey godaddy charge me still dey pepper me for body sha).
I then checked who.is and it showed the geo2 registrar is godaddy and the client is in my state in Nigeria. So it was certain the name is mine).

Now, out of curiosity, I checked geo1 again on whois.com and godaddy and they both said geo1 was still available.
Next, I used a friend's card to purchase geo1 on godaddy for $1.17 as a first timer.
Immediately I received order confirmation message from godaddy, whois.com and godaddy started showing the name geo1 is for sale and they quoted the same price netsol was quoting.
I checked who.is and they didn't show the details of the registrar. They were speaking in tongues. Something like you are not authorized to view the details.
I checked and the domain is listed in my new godaddy account as my name, about 24 hours after registering it.

Now my concern is;
Why is who.is not showing the registrar details of geo1 just like geo2?

Why did netsol say geo1 and geo2 are premium yet I was able to register them on godaddy (at least, geo2 has been confirmed to be my domain)

What can I do to stop them from showing that geo1 is for sale?

What can I do to make who.is show the registrar's details?

Congrats to the recent sellers both reported and unreported especially first time sellers. And if you've not made a sale yet, just a matter of time, just buy good names with wide competition and CPC. put your buy it now PRICE before outbounding. Then relax and check your email regularly. Domaining is full of fun and money if you're getting it right.

I can bet you there are great traders out there, the problem is traders expecting significant high returns from their small capital investments. Take financial institutions for example, they are okay getting 10% roi/annum. As a retail trader, will you be okay with that same roi? unless you are trading in the region of $10m capital.
Anyway, if you can make 10% p/month consistently, then it's really great.
If you are considering getting back to the trading fx, stick with just one trading system (manual, preferably swing trading), u just need to know the period of your trading system drawdown. Try at least to breakeven every month and see what turns out

Swing trading was my favourite.
The only thing that can make me trade again is if I backtest a strategy for 2 years and I returns monthly profit - no matter how small.
For the last time, I will study it again. One pair - EU.
If it looks good, I will trade again. If it doesn't, it's bye bye forever.
If I must trade, I will be sure of the result of the strategy over the last two years.

Did you study by backtesting your strategies or traded for 5 yrs to come to this conclusion.
You are right, forex is a zero sum game but there's chance for the retail traders giving he gets the right education.

I traded for 2 years. Made money and lost money. Trained people. Then stopped trading for about one year. Later, I wanted to start trading again but decided not to start until I am sure of what works reliably (going by records). So I did 5 years backtesting for numerous strategies (strategies developed by others and those ones developed by me).
I even tried a strategy of changing strategy every month, week or day. I tried everything. This backtesting took me about a year to do (I was doing my offline business during the time).

Well, I was still thinking there was something I didn't get right but changed my mind when I thought of the following:
1. No trader/coach has ever shown us his 2 year trading report.
2. No forex trader is listed among the world richest.

If anyone can prove my numbered assertions wrong, I will have a rethink about forex.

It's a registered domain. Before I bought the domain, I checked with bannedcheck / com. But when ismywebsitepenalized link was dropped here, I checked with them again and they say the name is definitely penalized. I rushed back to bannedcheck again to check and they say congratulations, the name is not banned from Google adsense.
