Here am I,.. They qualified... Yes! Congratulations but I am not impressed one bit.

They real test is the knockout finals against the north African teams and we all already know how that is going to end.

NPFL needs to sit up,.. Simple

What Rangers did away is what we should be doing all along against any African oppositions.

Being ruthless and striking fear into our opponents should be our way of football.

So on this, I am better impressed with Rangers away result and they should keep it up.
so because we are Nigeria every other African country should just open their nyash for us and get spanked because it only us that want to win and play football
you do also no that all this north African countries do also loose away even to clubs to low African countries what even made you think Nigeria is a football powerhouse
we haven't reached the World Cup quarter final t
we have never won an under 20 world cup
we aren't even 3rd if you are counting countries with most afcon trophies with all our internationals playing abroad
when last did we even win an Africa best player award
yet here you are expecting every African country to bow to us because we answer Nigeria
South Africa was said to have the best league in Africa how many time have they won the caf competitions
England with its league has never won euros
am sorry but this your we ought to be logic that we should be trashing everybody is silly

At bolded, FYI, Lobi stars have more prestige in the CCL than USD Loum or whatever their name is from Cameroon

Go and check your records

Lobi stars in the early 2000 played very well in the Champions League and won matches away when they needed to

As a matter of fact, these are matches that I watched live on TV because I am a fanatic football fan

I am not just the Chelsea, Barcelona fan.. No, in the past I watch anything football from 5-aside live and on TV to Argentine, Mexican, USA, South African, Norwegian, Portuguese leagues...

I have only toned down a little of recent since many years of Nigerian football disappointment

Growing up, I am the only one that will scan the whole of the neighborhood looking for where to watch Ghana vs New Zealand U-17 world Cup match by 2am even at the risk of my life in a strange town

So when I complain about the poor performance of our teams, I am predisposed to know by experience the stand point of my arguments

I stand to be quoted anywhere,

"NIGERIA BY VIRTUE OF EXPERIENCE, ACCOMPLISHMENT AND LEVEL, HAS NO BUSINESS STRUGLING ON THE CONTINENT IN ALL CADRE OF FOOTBALL"

As Sir Southgate will say, African football seems to be retrogressing

And I will add to it by saying that Nigeria and the NPFL should be out there competing with the best of the world against Europe and America, not losing 1-0 away in Doula and coming to give me excuses.
be sincere to your self apart from football in what face of life can we ever compete with those continents u mentioned
in fact name one area of life we can compete with the European

Every Nigerian irrespective of where they are born have a right to try for the national team, whether FB or HB. That said based in your comments, it seems that you have a bias against the HB why do the HB have to prove that they are miles better than the FB? So if the HB and FB are at par, they shouldn't be considered?
I juse finished watching highlights of the 2008 Beijing olympics, nig vs Belgium and I saw a certain HB Okonkwo play excellently and scored two great goals!!!!!
My point is let the HB not be considered inferior, if given an opportunity, they may actually turn out to be the new Musa, Finidi, Kpakpor. Oruma, Odey, Shehu, Etebo, Taye Taiwo etc. I mentioned Finidi cos when he made the national team there were many foreign based players who could have made the team.
thank you very much very very much
check all my post on this thread that what I keep saying
everytime we keep dragging nationality with the countries this players grew up and learn there
why can't we just develop our own
always waiting for others to do it for us den we come and claim dem
the truth is the home based is considered inferior no matter what the do and I have a problem about that
our under 23 and under 20 are usually home based and most time they do really well even our Chan eagle always manage to reach the semi finals or finals when given the chance
the last afcon we carried was given to us by a home based
all am asking we should have a little faith on these hb and give them a chance
person wey Dani play ball sabi play home or away

Sunday Mba gave us the trophy but their are better mid-fielders who play in Europe who would 've done better but due to the 7 slots for Home based players then we had no choice but to make do with what we have.

We have "raw" talents in the league but they need to leave the league to be "refined".
its does neglect the fact he did well

What. of CAF competitions?
in recent years not much just only enyimba have had some form of consistency but tell me musa play in Saudi Arabia I don't think any team from there league has ever won an Asia cup
neither has any Israel teams come out of the champions league group stage
they also don't do well in their respective federations organised football tournament either but we have players in this league in super eagles so?
