dustmalik: Apparently, Airtel and Starlink have gotten into a partnership, or so the dealer that sent me this info claimed. It doesn't really make sense to me at all. lol is the standard plan not 57k? Why will anyone opt for 500gb and pay 200k 😂 |
Phones › Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by gsparks01(m): 6:46pm On Feb 17 |
johnnyholtby: Yea, as I said earlier, the issue is your mesh node being wireless. Try wired mesh. thanks man. Let me check for the cable to buy |

morikee: Then your case is you are far from the router just get a good third-party router and extend or bypass you're saying a 3rd party router would be better than starlink's own router 2? |
Phones › Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by gsparks01(m): 4:51pm On Feb 17 |
johnnyholtby: That's the bottleneck. You'll definitely get better speeds if your mesh node is wired.
If possible, disconnect the mesh (for now) and go directly below your mini. Ensure you're on the 5ghz band, then run a speed test. I strongly believe you'll get better speeds with this. yes I went to the roof and got 240Mbps |

Even during peak hours, I still get good speeds. I'd advise you message support and create a ticket. this is the mini? |

ask4bk: Just do the maths. If it's 1kwh LFP in it, that's 10hrs for starlink 100w load. So expect 7-9 hours from full charge mini average consumption is 20w |

Nairaland General › Please Update The Search Feature by gsparks01(op): 1:48pm On Jan 28 |
Doing a search on NL is stressful especially when using more than a word. Instead of returning hits that contain both words, what we get are hits that contain one and hardly ever both.
Please update this.. You can do like twitter and give advanced search settings.
Well done |

johnnyholtby: This is my plan too. Gen 2 or Gen 3 router as wireless mesh node for my Mini. How's the range like with the Gen 2 router (especially for the 5ghz band)? I'm not sure how you mean sha but the gen2 router does not create a new network but extends it. Before now, while inside the house my devices choose the 2.4ghz but now, all are on 5ghz and signal is full around the house (3 bedroom) |
