addexx: A dispatch rider was ran over by a truck at the early hours of today at ikeja under bridge towards mobolaji bank Anthony way. Eyewitness report that he was on his bicycle trying to manoeuvre through the truck and another vehicle when all vehicles were halted at traffic point. He fell into the blind spot of the truck driver who accelerated immediately following traffic signal, dragging and crushing him immediately. The truck has since been impounded by the authorities while colleagues and family of the deceased has been contacted. The deceased has been taken to the nearest morgue. It is sad to die in the duty and line of our hustling, RIP and may God fill this void that his death has cause to the family But on a note, the way dispatch rider ride their bike on the road is very alarming, they over speed and over take without care, they are another menace in our road. |
