Crime / Re: Man Caught & Paraded For Killing Monkey In Awka, Anambra State by guidelight: 5:05pm On Mar 07 |
Animals as totem is the way ancient Igbos preserve wild life . Every Village , community and towns have one animal or the other which they must not touch. It has worked until modernity came with urbanisation. Now Igbos doesn't have control over this unique form of wild life preservation. Modern Igbos should deepen this heritage by establishing game reserves across Igboland to avoid extinction of species. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Bukar Abba Ibrahim Is Dead! by guidelight: 8:01pm On Feb 04 |
Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim from the much I know of him was a kind hearted fella. I remember in february 2005 when NYSC declared me and 7 others as the best in the service year. It was Bukar Abba , the Yobe Governor then who shook hand with me and handed me an Automatic employment as a teacher and a gift for my positive NYSC exploits. Though I did take up the appointment, but I cherished that gift and handshake up till this day. May his soul rest in perfect peace Amen |

Politics / Re: Hold Saboteurs Responsible If Tinubu Government Fails - Senator Bamidele by guidelight: 6:28am On Dec 28, 2023 |
nairalandankrah: Subject: Emphasizing the Need for a Strong Working Strategy: A Response to Senator Bamidele Dear Senator Bamidele, I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. I recently came across your remarks regarding holding saboteurs responsible if President Tinubu's government fails. I appreciate your concern for the success of our nation under President Tinubu's leadership; however, I would like to offer a different perspective. In any government or administration, it is crucial to prioritize collaborative efforts and effective strategies rather than fixating on assigning blame. While accountability is essential, it is equally important to aim for constructive and proactive solutions. Labeling individuals as "saboteurs" and holding them responsible for any shortcomings may hinder progress and create an atmosphere that is counterproductive to achieving the nation's goals. It is undeniable that crafting effective policies and implementing them successfully is a challenging task. President Tinubu's government, like any other, will face various obstacles and setbacks along the way. Therefore, it would be more productive to encourage the administration to focus on developing a robust working strategy to address these challenges and steer our nation towards success. Rather than approaching potential failures with blame or finger-pointing, it is critical to adopt a growth mindset that promotes learning from mistakes and adapting accordingly. By fostering an environment of open dialogue and collaboration, the government can encourage innovative thinking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Moreover, it is vital to recognize that attributing all shortcomings or failures solely to external forces or saboteurs oversimplifies the complex nature of governance. It can undermine the responsibility of the government to identify and address internal weaknesses or inefficiencies. President Tinubu's government must acknowledge its own role in seeking efficient and sustainable strategies for national development. Instead of solely focusing on assigning blame, I believe it is more beneficial to promote constructive discussions on policy formulation, implementation, and monitoring mechanisms. Encouraging transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness will create an environment conducive to the success of President Tinubu's government. In conclusion, while it is important to hold leaders accountable, emphasizing a better working strategy rather than throwing blame will be more effective in ensuring the success of President Tinubu's government. By prioritizing collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and adapting to new challenges, we can work towards a brighter future for our great nation. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to a fruitful debate that focuses on constructive solutions. Sincerely, Guidemann |

The purpose of NTSC is to achieve peace and unity within our diverse ethnicity . Nigeria has not achieved peace as desired, so those who are calling for the scrapping of NYSC is making a big mistake. So long as Nigeria is one Nation, NYSC is relevant. I 1 Like |

While serving in Yobe, we practice community feeding and it helped us save a lot of money and lived like one large family despite our different ethnicities. By community feeding , we the Corps members contribute money together, buy food stuff in bulk and rotate the cooking arrangements. I think it is pertinent to imbibe that arrangement in the current economic situation. 1 Like |

Despite that I supported and campaigned vigorously for a Muslim/Muslim ticket in the 2023 presidential election because I believe that religion has no place in politics and that competence is the relevant factor when it comes to leadership rather than faith. The moments they collected dollars to promote Muslim/Muslim ticket, they didn't realise they were selling their birthright and the future of their generation for a pot of porridge. 3 Likes |
