Hello everyone, happy new month and congrats to forumites who have gotten their visa, medical request. To those waiting, may God grant you success. And to those of us looking for answers and organising our packages, may God lead us to the right direction. grin I am going through part 1 today and I noticed that most people collected their police certificate from Alagbon,Lagos. What if I don't or have never lived in lagos? Can't I collect it from the city or state that I have been residing for the past 6 years? On the CIC website,it says you have to get the clearance from the city where you have being residing. Please wise nairalanders, shed more light on these! Thanks

I applied as well with scanned transcripts. Although I was required to mail the original after being granted admission.

These requirements are subject to change. Therefore its advisable you check their respective website or contact the school administrator if need be.

Your school can issue you as many as you want, as long as you pay for it cheesy
Thanks @El Capt I wonder how much dough will be left after paying for like 20 transcripts lol tongue

Your school can issue you as many transcripts as you want but you'll have to pay for each one of them. A couple of Canadian schools (especially the older, more established ones) accept soft copy of transcripts. So, what you can do is get one official copy of your transcript for yourself, scan it and use to apply to schools which accept this method. When you get admission from a school of your choice, they will still request for the hardcopy, which you can then request your school to send to them. I know Carleton and University of Victoria accept softcopy transcripts. Also Centennial College
Thanks @Arise0Compatriot. This information is really golden.

Your former school(naija school) do not have restriction in giving out an official transcript so far you can afford the processing fees. However, UAlberta and MUN won't accept photocopied transcript and Carleton only needs scanned transcript for review.
Thank you @juggernaut07 let me start sharing my money on transcript wahala lol

Good day,my fellow Nairalanders.I have been searching schools and I have found some that I'm interested in. But it seems that all colleges and universities required original copy of secondary and post secondary transcripts to be sent to them directly by my former schools. I was already planning to go and collect the transcripts by myself, then use scanned copies or photocopies to apply for admission to different institution and submit my original transcript if admitted before resuming for studies. I also understand that I need this original transcripts for TRV application. Please house, what do you think I should do?How many copies of original transcripts can my former schools issue out? Has any one of you applied with photocopied transcript to Unialberta, MUnewfound land,Algonquin college, NAIT, Carleton or saskpoly with a photocopy or scanned transcript and succeed? Please quote me,your suggestions are highly anticipated. God bless you all

Hi everyone,I have been following this thread for quite a while now.I've read all the threads in part 7 and some of the threads in part 6,5 and 4.What an awesome house!I've learnt a lot from this forum and I say thanks to all of you here. I realised somewhere in part 5 that I'm not ready to apply yet! But I've even registered my business last month, got my land surveyors paper and by God's grace my lawyer will go for d stamp duty before the end of this month, also collected my original waec result,NPC birth attestation of age,Tax identification number and a business account. When I finished gathering my funds and documents,I will go to my former poly to collect my ND original certificate, write a TOEFL exam and then I will apply to a school in canada,I've found some schools in ottawa, saskatchewan and ontario that appeals to my need. Right now,I have contacted the immigration to correct some mistakes made on my passport so as not to have any problem during my Trv application. All these I learnt from all of you even without asking questions, may all your dreams come true.God bless nairalanders, you have save me some time, money and have made me learn so much.
