Category1:I won't blame any of these players, the pitch is terrible. It doesn't allow for free flowing football |
Half time Nigeria 1:0 DR Congo |
samzzycash:How can the original be on sale when the kit manufacturer hasn't made it available yet? ![]() |
Uzoho doing well so far but the team is struggling to string more than two passes together. I think the pitch is playing a role in this because the only person that's looking comfortable on this pitch is the home based player Junior lokosa |
groundnutoil:I just showed you a tweet from Nike's official handle, no other information can be more accurate than the one from the kit manufacturers |
groundnutoil:That would be a fake, Nike said the original Jersey has not yet been released. It will be available next month

This is the biggest problem with Catholicism, the belief that they alone are the entire church and anyone who is not Catholic can't be part of the body of Christ. The church of God is not the physical denominations and church institutions you see everywhere, it is a universal family of everyone who believes in and accepts Jesus into their lives as their lord and personal saviour irrespective of the denomination they belong to. Though we are many and diverse, We are all one body in Christ |
I believe it is to avoid distractions, there is no command for people to pray with their eyes closed in the Bible but I believe it is better that way so you will be totally concentrated on your prayer and not be distracted by other happenings around you |
Is there anything wrong with an artist who sings 'worldly' songs to perform inside a church? What about the inclusion of comedians in church events? I've keenly followed a trend in various church events where I've seen secular artistes like Korede bello, Waje, Omawumi e.t.c perform during service, Even when we don't have the artistes performing the songs themselves, it is no longer uncommon to find praise leaders in the church singing secular songs like Phyno's fada fada, Humblesmiths's Osinachi and even songs by foreign secular artistes like R.Kelly ( Storm is over & He saved me) during service. Regular attendees of the yearly The Experience gospel concerts by The house on the Rock church can confirm that performances by secular comedians have become a regular feature at the concert and many of the other church events organised by some 'Mega' churches in Nigeria. I must confess that at the moment I haven't yet come to a firm conviction on the rightness or wrongness of this phenomenon in our Churches so I'd rather leave it open for Christians on this forum to share their opinions on this issue. So what do you think? Is it right or wrong for secular artistes and comedians to perform during church services? Is it also proper for praise leaders to sing songs by secular artistes during service? |
It's a free world but there's no need claiming to be a Christian when you don't want to abide by the tenets of the Christian faith. Saying that a lot of biblical concepts do not reconcile with today's reality and that you have to use interpretations to work out which ones you will deem appropriate is just creating your own fantasy. You don't pick and choose which part of God's word you obey according to your own whims and caprices. No one is forcing you to be a Christian or live by the Bible tenets. But when you chose to be a Christian and abide by the Bible, then you must know that you have to be completely obedient to God's instructions in the Bible. A half obedient Christian is just wasting his or her time. Choose ye this day whom you will serve, you can't serve God and Mammon at the same time! |

Why was a drug abuser allowed into the Army? |
Why should any Christian baptize someone forcefully? To achieve what? The bible is clear on what baptism is and who to be baptized. A baptism that is forced on the recipient is not a baptism at all, it is of no significance |

I first became enthralled with the phrase "TV people" as a kid after watching the critically acclaimed 1980's horror movie Poltergeist. In the movie, a quiet, peaceful and successful family is thrown into turmoil when some spirits emerge from their television set to disorganise things in the house. Drinking glasses are shattered, furniture moves around of it's own accord, silverware are distorted, a child is abducted and the once peaceful family descends into chaos. The family's little daughter who notices that the bizzare occurrences were being orchestrated by evil spirits emerging from their TV set in trying to describe the spirits to her parents called the spirits "TV people". The parents watched incredulously as she told them that TV People were behind the strange happenings in their house but the little girl was eventually proved right and the TV set was rolled out of the house. I watched this movie many years ago but I have noticed that even more so in this age, evil influences from our television sets (TV people) are still having a negative and destructive impact on our generation From the family to the society and even in the church, evil influences from the media and entertainment industry are manipulating and seducing the youth to embrace a life of immorality and waywardness that inevitably leads to destruction. I am not suggesting that TV is totally bad and to be discarded but is it not strange that the church is now the place you get the latest gist on unedifying TV shows like Big brother Naija? The latest immoral dance like one corner? The latest seductive dresses in town? Little wonder all kinds of vices and sexual immorality have penetrated the church from the members to the pastors. Why not stick to TV programmes that educate and edify? Guard your heart with all diligence (Proverbs 4:23), don't let "TV people" and "Internet people" lead you into the path of destruction. These people who do this things are not pastors, they are wolves sent by their father the devil to devour the flock |
