Politics › Re: Delta Flight (Monday Oct 14) Made Emergency Landing In Dakar (senegal) by gunuvi(m): 6:57am On Oct 15, 2013
jjcbuthot: The Delta flight carrying us to US yesterday made emergency landing in Dakar to get medical attention for a pregnant woman who gave birth on board. As we touched the ground, the aircraft lost one of its tyres - nothing serious really as the plane came to final stop without issue.

But we are stuck in Dakar now lodged in an hotel and waiting to hear from the airline when the trip to the US will continue.

If I had known, I would have just stayed back in Lagos to celebrate Sallah with my family and leave Lagos on Tuesday which was my original plan before I changed it - with the look of things, we might not leave Dakar until Tuesday night.
Sorry o but Sallah dey sweet for Dakar o.

oyb: the real question is what is the cost of registering planes abroad against the cost of registering them in nigeria?

is it another scam prone exercise like vehicle licensing?

the fg can carry a toga of concern for the plight of nigerian pilots, but the fact of the matter is nigerian trained pilots and engineers would be cheaper to employ than foreign ones. from a business perspective, there is no reason why a local airline would hire foreign pilots over nigerian ones - more so when a lot of foreign pilots come from cultures where the god syndrome of ceos doesn't exist. naija ceos want people who catch cold when they sneeze.

Madam minister seems bent on driving the cost of running a local airline into he stratosphere, or maybe she is looking for more 5% stakeholding
To pass exams go be very difficult for you o. Did u read the thread with ur head upside down?
I hereby command now to stand upright, go back and read the article line by line till u get to line 44. From there to line 53 you will see the "expo" to ur stupidity.
