Coconut oil has been used to power diesel engines for decades. Using coconut oil in place of or as an additive to regular diesel fuel increases power, extends engine life, and dramatically cuts toxic emissions. Because of these advantages coconut oil is being tested as a jet fuel. Virgin Atlantic Airlines carried out the world’s first flight of a commercial aircraft powered with a biofuel made from coconut oil in 2008. The Boeing 747 flew from London to Amsterdam. Neither the jet nor the engines needed to be redesigned or altered for this test flight. “This breakthrough will help Virgin Atlantic to fly its planes using clean fuel sooner than expected,” Sir Richard Branson, the airline’s president, said before the Boeing 747 flew from London’s Heathrow Airport to Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. He said the flight would provide “crucial knowledge that we can use to dramatically reduce our carbon footprint.” The flight was partially fueled with a biofuel mixture of coconut and babassu oil in one of its four main fuel tanks. The jet carried pilots and several technicians, but no passengers. The flight is another example of how the world’s airlines are jumping on the environmental bandwagon by trying to find ways of reducing aviation’s carbon footprint. These efforts have included finding alternative jet fuels, developing engines that burn existing fuels more slowly, and changing the way planes land. Aircraft engines cause noise pollution and emit gases and particulates that reduce air quality and contribute to environmental pollution. Using coconut oil as a jet and diesel fuel can help keep our planet clean. Source: www.coconutresearchcenter.org/hwnl_9-4.htm |
@OP, ACN propaganda at play here. All the pitures only showed a fraction of Lagos that is owned by the rich. God will forgive you for misleading us. We in Badagry know we have been neglected since 1993 and time will tell. Fool |
The man's madness can still be cured but the priest who conducted the marriage madness is totally incurable. |
They should investigate very well. The Femi may really be innocent after all going by the report. |
Pls sir, all apologies but you are a very big fool for your excuses. I am beginning to understand you people more. I feel so sad for Africans who left their belief to follow people like you. Time will tell. |

armadeo: I don't know if this 64 million winner is true but I have met several winners from mtn in the past. In 2010 I played one lotto on mtn for 2 million daily winner and 20 million weekly. Me thinks NCC was choking mtn or sumfin cos one day I just received a call and mtn paid for me to go and watch ONE match in SA. Nigeria vs greece. Twas a stressful journey cos we spent 3 days there. On that trip I met a dude who claimned to have won one million twice previously on mtn shows and countless other commodities and a couple who were suppossed to travel on a previous promo but couldn't came on our trip. We went in two batches about 40 ppl.Sorry bro, ur scope no work. |

My brother Nigerians no longer take El rufai words serious again as we know he was worse while in office. He can never be trusted. |
Teegreat: Am not having problems with you analysis, that MR President is nimrod or Pharaoh or whatever because you guys have candid points, but the analysis of christ will come during Obama's tenure. He(christ) could come tomorrow or a day after Obama's presidential tenure expires.Which your christ is coming very soon. When the missionaries came to Badagry in 1842 to preach christianity to my great great grandfathers, they told them christ is coming very very soon, 170 years after, u are still decieving urself with ur christ coming. Abeg park jare. Its better you preach that to your greedy thieving pastors that are globethrothing in their state of the arts jets than coming to tell us fairytales. |
