The kind of projects they work on during the six months should give them the experience they need. Do you know what one can achieve in six months intensive study? Don't look at things from the nigerian perspective. Andela maintains the same standards world class software companies overseas. Programming bootcamps in America use 3 months to transform students to industry-ready developers. How much more six months? I've looked at some of their projects on github and I must say that it is not the nigerian child's play projects, they even to work in teams, so imagine what can be accomplished in six months, thereby proving their capability.
I don't think Andela uses "frame work of the month" because their technology stacks are stated on their website. Every developer is assigned to one stack probably FOR SIX MONTHS and that's what they will work on.

If you think PHP is a horrible atrocity and will die in 5 years time, it implies that you probably haven't actually been keeping up-to-date with the platform. Ten years ago, PHP was indeed a horrible atrocity where most people barely knew what an object was, nobody had heard of unit testing and talking about the concept of "code quality" would have just got you blank stares. Today's PHP has ditched virtually all of the language quirks that gave it its reputation, and the current crop of PHP developers are writing well-tested, well-structured, good quality code. There are a number of very well polished frameworks available that can stand up just fine alongside those in the Node, Python and Ruby ecosystems. Not to mention PHP7.
Learn to update you PHP skills.

well not to join issues sha, when i decided to choose a lang to start, i settled for 3 - java,python,php. but after some comparison from forums etc i settled for php and am glad. however, java is still my target prog to learn which i wiill after understanding OOP which is so nice...

Correct guy...java is so easy to learn after learning php because of oop and similar syntax.
You can also try c#, similar to java.

Php is a complete set of tools for anything relating to web development.
Gone are the days when Php will die soon. Php lives on for the next 10years.
Every database engine today supports Php.
When node first came out it seems as if its the next big, but its no where near php achievement.

Even @dhtml18 builds more tools for Php than he does for other lang.

I have a general suggestion - I am thinking that if developers take the initiative and develop cool stuffs based on other platforms and bring it to the awareness of people, it will change the mind of clients that PHP is not necessarily the best language.

Uhm, no, the site is fast. Even when i launched 2 simultaenous DOS attacks from 2 different servers at the same time, the speed was still maintained.

I said its not base on a fresh site.

Do you know any server scripting language? If no, then its better you outsource the project to a profession who can handle this with less error.

You already said it.
All you need is 2 tables, 1 for post which has the time post was made (columt), the other is the follow table which will hold info for the post_id, user_id, then time.
So when you select you have to join user table with post table to retrieve users info who made the post and may be the one who also follow the post.

Note: my logic might not be 100% accurate, but it will help you understand how it can be achieve.

Nice clean interface.
- I like a post without login, why?
- read is very slow,
- site load speed is too slow for a new website with less than 2k post,
- when I click on quote from a post, a blank screen came up. note am not logged in.
- interface is clean but too white/grey I didn't mean you should use green every where oo, try color match,
- captcha text is tiny while other boxes are big, captcha is unreadable.

There are other many minor issues.
