As Global HealthCare continues to change and grow, so do patient expectations of both medical and non-medical quality. On the curative side, Hospitals & Clinics are becoming increasingly aware of the pivotal role of Hospitality & Service Culture in the Patient Experience and the impact on the bottom-line. On the preventive & recovery side, Hotels & Resorts (and Retreats) are increasingly improving their Health & Wellness services for their guests.

In essence, incorporating "Health & Wellness" in a Hospitality environment is a process of Change, a transitioning process from traditional Facility Management to value innovative Hospitality Management.

The MeDiCo Hospitality Wellness Campaign will target:
✔ World-class Hospitals
✔ Health/Medical Resorts & Clinics
✔ Lifestyle & Wellness Resorts and Spa’s
✔ Luxury Hotels with dedicated healthcare facilities

Our research shows that many Hospitality businesses in Africa doesn't incorporate wellness services in their businesses. This has made it difficult to introduce and implement some of our programs targeting better lifestyles.

We are starting this project to ensure that Hospitality businesses in Africa go digital and incorporate wellness services in their facility.

Our research shows that many Hospitals in Africa doesn't have website and most of the few that have are not functional or below international standard. This has made it difficult to introduce and implement most of our programs.

We are starting this project to ensure that all hospitals in Africa go digital and meet international best practices. This special campaign will feature discounted web design services and digital marketing that incorporate all the features of MeDiCo campaign.

INTRODUCING SAFE MOTHERHOOD INITIATIVE

Starting April 1st, 2019, we will start the maiden campaign for our Safe Motherhood Initiative Program.

An estimated 340 000 maternal deaths, 2.7 million stillbirths and 3.1 million neonatal deaths occur worldwide each year – almost all in low-income countries. In some parts of sub-Saharan Africa, a woman's lifetime risk of dying in childbirth is as high as one in seven. Sub-Saharan Africa, which accounts for 38 percent of global neonatal deaths, has the highest newborn death rate (34 deaths per 1,000 live births in 2011).

Health2Wealth Safe Motherhood Initiative is improving women’s health by increasing access, availability, and utilization of key health services, as well as strengthening the healthcare delivery system in Africa. Specifically, the Program supports innovative approaches to strengthen the capacity of public and private sectors to deliver high-impact health interventions to reduce maternal, newborn, and child mortality and morbidity.

Safe Motherhood encompasses a series of initiatives, practices, protocols and service delivery guidelines designed to ensure that women receive high-quality gynecological, family planning, prenatal, delivery and postpartum care, in order to achieve optimal health for the mother, fetus and infant during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. Unsafe motherhood consists in maternal mortality or morbidity due to preventable pregnancy and childbirth-related causes.

Although, most maternal and infant deaths can be prevented through safe motherhood practices, millions of women in Africa are affected by maternal mortality and morbidity from preventable causes. Health2Wealth model of SMI provides a continuum of care ranging from maternal to neonatal health coverage.

This Thursday, we will be looking at the role of Nurses, Midwives, Community Health Workers, Health Promoters, CHIPS, Village Health Workers & Digital Technologies in creating awareness on Safe Motherhood Initiative to prevent maternal & infant mortality.
