It was a bloody Friday this afternoon in Arietallin Junction Yenagoa, Bayelsa state. At exactly 15:45pm today, 2 armed robbers met their end in the hands of operatives of the special anti-robbery squad attached to the area. The robbers (3 of them) almost carted away with their victim's hard earned money at gun point . They carried out the deadly operation on bike after trailing the victim while driving in his Mercedes benz from the bank down to Arietallin Junction of Yenagoa before the SARS foiled their operation. Unfortunately for the thieves, two of the robbers were nabbed and killed at the spot after minutes of gun duel with the police. Although one of the robbers is still on the run as at the time of filing this report. Items recovered were millions of naira and 2 pistols from the said robbers.
