I have modified my post, even if you are a first time user, it won't be a problem for you to maintain it since you have certify it okay.

Once you have already CONFIRMED that the car is SOUND and CLEAN,you wont have a problem maintaining it as a first time owner.

Just use your car with care,and do the normal oil changes as at when due,elantra is a basic car,and not a luxury ride,so expenses will be minimal.

MAKE SURE THE CAR IS HANDLED BY AN EXPERIENCED MECHANIC.
