Dear Nairaland friends,

Dairy giant FrieslandCampina WAMCO - maker of Peak Milk, Three Crowns Milk and the Friso brand - has been working with herdsmen of both Fulani and Yoruba stock for many years, especially in Kwara and Oyo States under a project named DDP - Dairy Development Programme. This has helped improved milk production delivery and has stabilized and boosted the incomes of all the herdsmen that have benefited from the project.

Although FrieslandCampina isn't the only company selling milk in Nigeria, it is the only one that signed an MOU with the Federal Government that pre-dates President Buhari's administration. Now the company wants to do much more with all cow farmers across the country and help to build Nigeria's struggling dairy industry.

Times are very difficult as our Naira is taking a beating against the dollar and other market forces. But Mr. Roelof Joosten the Global CEO of FrieslandCampina flew in from The Netherlands and together with his Nigerian counterparts went to Aso Rock to show their corporate commitment to Nigeria and the Buhari-led Federal Government, and to tell Mr President the determination of FrieslandCampina to help grow our dairy sector.

Let's not be flippant with comments, my friends. This is probably the best opportunity Nigeria has to defeat corruption and economic stagnation. Let's encourage the Federal Government and sincere multinational companies like FrieslandCampina. Thank you - Kunle Hamilton

I really do commend the high sense of public safety displayed by all in the matter of this fake product report/experience - from the post to your comments. By sharing his experience, the author of this story has demonstrated sensitivity and wisdom. PEAK MILK has been in Nigeria and is consumed daily in thousands of Nigerian households. Hence it was easy to spot the fake version of it, but it isn't so in every case of product-fakes. Greedy Nigerians will always seek to fake products that are doing well in the market. Nairaland keeps with the trend of news and particularly differs from most websites because Nigerians enjoy free speech and robust opinion venting here. I want to quickly correct the erroneous news published on Nairaland today re: The above headline. The rumour was culled from another blog called saharaweeklyng.com - which quoted nobody and never tried to confirm the truth or falsehood of its report.

I work with FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc, makers of Peak milk, Three Crowns milk and Friso. Peak milk, the household high nutrition brand has been in Nigeria for over 60 years and doing great to build up the health of Nigerians.

The Staff and Management of FrieslandCampina WAMCO work under very fair, convenient, humane and conducive conditions. They don't have cause to complain like the erroneous rumour makes out.

Recently, the Management of the company replaced its security contract with a better one that meets its expectations. The new security firm in charge of FC WAMCO is PROTON SECURITY SERVICES. FC WAMCO does not compromise its health, safety and security standards and its Management is always sticking to the best global standards.

I suspect it is a staff of the last security firm which lost its contract to Halogen Securities that sold lies and false news to saharaweeklyng.com

Proof that the Staff of FrieslandCampina WAMCO are happy with their employers is made evident in the highly successful annual FC WAMCO Football Tournament they all participate in with their MD, Rahul Colaco and other directors of the company who also play football with them in teams.

FC WAMCO also has a thriving Culture Club headed by a Staff, which seamlessly bridges the gap between employees and employers, thus making the work environment exciting and a place of career growth for all.
