whirlwind7: There's a reason i didnt take your request seriously.
I stated that anyone making a request should indicate the author's name, or, at least, the genre of book they wanted.

If you are really into books, you would at least have a few favorites, right?
You would like certain writers, or certain genres (fictions such as thrillers, drama, romance, crime, horror...Non fictions: biographies, historical, political....) The list goes on.

Simply put, you make it easier for me by being specific. I dont have to bother about deciding on what to mail you: You make the decision.
If you go thru this thread, you will realize that i simply ignored folks who didnt specify what they wanted.
thanks for your correction,
my favourites are : romance, drama and historical.
Thank u once again

Sen Kaka defends APC’s call to impeach Jonathan

By Mikail Mumuni, Editor, FCT & Taiye Odewale, Abuja
Senator Adegbenga Sefiu Kaka, a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC) representing Ogun East in the upper legislative chamber, has defended the appeal by his party to the National Assembly to impeach President Goodluck Jonathan. Kaka, a former deputy governor of Ogun State from 1999 to 2003 during the governorship of Chief Olusegun Osoba, also condemned reactions by the Presidency and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) describing APC’s call as treasonable.
APC, through its interim National Publicity Secretary Alhaji Lai Mohammed, had on December 15 requested the National Assembly to commence impeachment proceedings against the president, arguing that the ship of state was drifting dangerously, adding that the trend had to be arrested.
Mohammed’s call came in the wake of former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s open letter to Jonathan, in which he accused the president and his administration of grievous constitutional infractions. The Presidency and PDP, in separate reactions to APC’s call, threatened that treasonable charges may be brought against leaders of the party for conceiving such an idea.
But Kaka, Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, insisted in an exclusive interview with Saturday Newswatch, that his party did no wrong. He said there was nothing treasonable in the impeachment of a president. Said he: “If my own party is talking about impeachment, I believe that there is nothing treasonable in the call. Impeachment is entrenched in the constitution and the conditionalities for impeachment are also stated in black and white, which I think my party must have studied very well before making the impeachment call. If we have reached that level and my party is calling for it, I don’t think any law has been breached to the point of classifying it as treasonable charges. “
To the Presidency and PDP, Kaka said: “If we haven’t reached that level constitutionally, democratically,it is left for those alleging treason to prove to the world the aspect of the law that has been broken or backing their allegation. So the issue of treasonable felony is a defeatist approach.”
The Senator contended that if some forces allegedly having the backing of the Presidency could threaten governors not in their good books with impeachment, there was nothing wrong in the call by APC for the impeachment of the president. Asked Kaka: “What is the difference between impeachment of a governor and a president? Not only that, if you go to Rivers, they are threatening to impeach the governor with five out of a parliament of 31 lawmakers; which one is more treasonable of the attempted action cited? I believe whatever threat they have against APC, is a misplaced aggression, and it shows the level of delusion the PDP-led government in the country has sunk into over the years.”
Commending Obasanjo for his letter to the President, Kaka said the former president had through it spoken the minds of many Nigerians. He added that “for those looking at the messenger and not the message, as far as the said letter is concerned, they need not mind where Obasanjo is coming from or whatever role he had played in the past as regards the current democratic dispensation. The fact of the matter is that through that letter, Obasanjo has spoken out the minds of Nigerians to this government and nothing more.”
While calling on government to treat issues raised in the letter and criticisms by other Nigerians in good faith, Kaka said: “Mr. President might have tried his best, but what the generality of people are saying is that his best is not good enough and that is what Chief Obasanjo re-echoed in the said letter.”
Kaka advised Nigerian leaders to imbibe the lessons of the life and times of Dr. Nelson Mandela by being responsive to the yearnings of the people.

PoliticsAgain Yarima Leads Muslim Clerics To Villa To Pray For Jonathan by hammariise(op): 6:20am On Nov 16, 2013
A former governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmad Sani Yarima, yesterday led three Muslim clerics to the State House in Abuja to pray for President Goodluck Jonathan.
A source in the Presidency told Daily Trust last night that the prayer session was held at the president’s office for about 45 minutes.
The source, who pleaded anonymity, said the prayer commenced at about 10.30am and ended around 11.15am.
The prayer session was conducted in Arabic. He, however, said he could not confirm the purpose for which the prayer was conducted.
In July Yarima also led a team of Muslim clerics to the President claiming they were there to pray for peace in the country, and not to further any political goal.
But sources said then that Yarima took prominent Muslim clerics from around the country to Jonathan’s to further his yet-to-be declared second-term ambition and to also try to supplant Vice President Namadi Sambo on the presidential ballot in 2015.
Those that attended the July meeting were a representative of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, Sheikh Yusuf Sambo Rigachukun, Prof Tijjani Al-Miskin and Zamfara deputy governor Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad, who was commissioner in Yarima’s cabinet when he was governor.
Sources had told Daily Trust that Yarima had sold the idea that he was the only one who could rally round Muslim clerics to support Jonathan’s candidature given his well-known Sharia credentials. Yarima, now a senator, was the first governor to introduce Sharia before several other states in the North followed suit in 2000-2003.
The Muslim clerics who attended the July meeting with Jonathan under the aegis of the National Ulama Consultative Forum were from different parts of the country.
Yarima was not available for comments yesterday. The identity of those who attended yesterday’s meeting along with him could not be established as at press time.

SportsCruyff: Barcelona Are Clasico Favourites by hammariise(op): 9:30am On Oct 26, 2013
player and coach Johan Cruyff says home advantage should give the Catalan giants the edge over arch-rivals Real Madridin Saturday's Clasico.
TheBlaugranahave won their last 19 Liga games at Camp Nou since a Cristiano Ronaldo double secured a 2-2 draw for theBlancosover a year ago, and Cruyff thinks that formidable record will help the hosts secure a crucial victory.
"Respect to Madrid because they always have a very strong team," the 66-year-old toldSport.
"But there are many influencing factors, and at home, Barcelona are always favourites."
Cruyff also lent support to Barca's Brazilian forward Neymar, who has come in for criticism from some quarters after scoring just three goals in thirteen appearances since his €57 million summer switch from Santos.
"Even a blind man can see what a great player he is," Cruyff said
"Anyone who does not think he is a good player does not know the game."
Yet the Dutchman still chose a pair of familiar names as the men most likely to prove decisive in Saturday's tussle.
"Barcelona and Madrid depend on Messi and Ronaldo," he added.
"Both sides have lots of quality and both have players who can influence the game, but those two make the goals and that makes the difference."

A 40 years old man was arrested for locking up his girlfriend’s pants using a chastity belt for years just so that she won’t cheat on him!
According to CNN, the man’s abused, unidentified 25-year-old Mexican girlfriend recently had to tell cops about the abuse after she was left unable to go to the bathroom for several hours because she couldn’t unlatch the padlock on her jeans.

LOBI STARS vs KANO PILLARS

This is the Makurdi Bombers' biggest game of the season and they must get a win no matter what it takes, to remain in the premier league. The club is presently suffering from a dearth of quality players and their myopic vision of selling their best players to overseas clubs.
Pillars on their part know that a draw in Katsina Ala will guarantee them back-to-back league titles. They have not taken the tie lightly at all because they have arrived Katsina Ala since Thursday, perfecting strategies ahead of the tie.
Lobi are 18th with 49 points from 37 matches.
