If you have enough space, why wait till after every 7 weeks or 9 weeks before you start selling your birds?

Why don't you build a system that allows you sell chickens every month or even every week or better still every day?

Why can't you create your business to meet every day demand in meat or eggs?


Did you know how much your business stands to surfer from small buyers especially those who buy less than 10 chickens and return after many days to buy same number again?

Picture this, you stock 500 birds and at harvest, you have a buyer who comes in and buys 200 birds at once and another a 100 birds all at once. In 1 day you sold off 300 birds and are left with 200 birds which finishes within days before a week elapse. What do you think this would do to your business?

Chickens are as delicate as perishable goods. The more they stay the more you spend on them and they don't take any apology plus if you feed them less during harvest, their weights starts getting light. This would mean that buyers will start pricing them low. So you have enough chickens at harvest which has delayed in sales, and to manage money, you feed them less and they become less heavier, your customers come in after long time and start pricing them low. In frustration you decide to sell off but there is another problem, these buyers buy in small quantities so that you will have to wait longer again. This would mean that you could start using the same money gotten from the sales to feed your birds. If this happens to you twice you could get frustrated out of the business just 6months of starting.

Poultry farming as well as any business has their secrets. It is only the experienced ones that can show you exactly what they have faced doing such business for years and you can avoid them and do something different so that you thrive while others are struggling.

You can take many days or time planning your business or you can simply thrive on someone's templates.�

of antibiotics, a supplementary application of yeast
(Saccharomyces cerevisiae) with antibiotics is
be best. Yeast powder mixed with
antibiotics was found effective as probiotics in
increasing broiler weight, improving feed
efficiency, and preventing growth of pathogen
microorganisms.
DYK: The Saccharomyces genus, a
yeast for brewing, is usually enriched with
molasses, which when incorporated into feeds
affect meat color.

DYK: The feed efficiency is highest
in 0.3% yeast level in feed. Hence, it was
recommended to supplement yeast at 0.3% to feed
formulations for 2 weeks before chickens are
slaughtered, to improve color, daily weight gain,
and economic value.

It depends on the size. A 50 broilers pen will require 150 feet square feet. Eg 25 * 6 feet or 20 * 7.5 feet or 10 * 15 feet For cost, I built more long time ago about 9 years now.

I have seen farms without staking. But it is preferable to stake, the vines can spread on the ground too. I n which case your spacing should be enough to give the plants allowance to spread.

I used a spacing of about 50 cm between plants on the row.

Just boil for 10 mins I used 1.5 litres in a 5 litre drinker and fillup with fresh water.

Evening: Will give herbal concoction of moringa, neem, pawpaw and mango leaves.

The mixture is then put in a container with fresh water in the ratio 1:2.

So far working very well with stool as solid as normal.

Oga Emma please how do go about the concoction, what's the quantity of water and herbs to be boiled together and also how many ml of boiled concoction goes into a litre of birds drinking water sir? thanks 4 the good work boss

Stop all treatment including lab, etc. If possible, drop little ginger in water for them only.

If by tomorrow, its still wet, squeeze mango leaves and a small cut of pawpaw leaves, feed directly to the birds in water

Since there are 16 days, too much of these herbs will make them purge.

Good evening house. Organic Guru in the house pls help me out. My zartech cobb500 Broiler will be 16day old today, but the problem am facing with them is wet bedding/litters. I change their factually everyday from day one till this moment. it's getting frustrating pls what can I do to stop this pls? less I forget they are on ginger and garlic, Tagiri, lab and aloe vera occasionally.
I feed them with Top feed super starter.

pls can someone here direct me to where I can get Animal care feed in Ilorin?
