[s] maestroferddi: Something has to be wrong with this Ibeto of a business magnate.
We can cry forever of how he was short-changed by Obasanjo to favour Dangote in the past but the truth remains that he is not that effective as a serious investor.
Where are signature projects today? He is barely known in Nigeria and hardly reckoned with in Africa. His global presence is almost non-existent.
I can't forget a personal experience I had some years ago. I was trekking from Ijesha in Surulere to Mile 2. As I was passing through Ibeto Group premises at the place called Second Rainbow, after Sanya Bus Stop, I paused briefly...
I took in the scenery and did a mental calculation of the physical assets I could see and ended up shaking my head.
Disillusionment took the better part of me: I began to muse that that was a man who was contending with Dangote less than 20 years ago...
Today Dangote is not only Africa's richest man but the wealthiest black person alive but where is Ibeto?
Still doing some kind of buying and selling business or ready to employ professionals to upskill his business and make it a conglomerate/behemoth?
There are times we need to tell ourselves the truth and leave sentiments aside..... [/s] Dangote owns the SW region. The number 1 industrialist in the whole SW. Largest cement factory in Ogun and refinery in Lagos. SW is owned by the Fulani and there can never be oduduwa rep. Now Ibeto is investing in SE. He is putting an equal level of factory-like Dangote, divided by two in SE region. So if u want to know, go to SE and see. |

[s] ODI444: I’ve noticed with nostalgia how Igbos are maligned for pitching their tents to a political party. Some folks say that that once the Igbos support your ambition, you’re hitting the rock. Others call it miscalculation, unsophistication etc. But can one be maligned because of his choice? Even the constitution has room for freedom of choice. Recently, Edo state has been enmeshed in political logjam. It has become fierce and gone to the wires. Like always, supporters are taking sides but the Igbos are the only group maligned for taking side with Obaseki. Mind you, Obaseki is an APC member. Some believe, Igbos are pushing Obaseki to his political grave. I don’t know how low can people go in political engagement. You will remember that Igbos supported Ambode, but the battle consumed him. Everyone thought that since Ambode quietly left the scene, they will allow him some rest, but his fate today is that of a bird whose wings are clipped yet the legs are tied so it won’t fly. Igbos hate intimidation. They fought slavery and chose death instead of slavery. On this premise are Igbos urging Obaseki to fight since either ways are opaque. But today, he has his destiny in his hands, not in Oshiomole’s hand. Stop insulting Igbos for their choice. They are not blaming anyone for it. They take responsibility. That was why they repeated the 2015 voting pattern in 2019, by rejecting APC to tell you 2015 was no mistake. The north has started protesting. So is it not obvious that Igbos knew that this Government will fail? The country is finished economically and otherwise. If we are accurate about COVID19 death, you won’t come out tomorrow. But have you seen your president? Yet some people still say, “you put all your eggs in one basket”. What a joke. Make you choice and allow other do. [/s] NAME ONE IGBO MAN INVOLVED IN EDO STATE, LIKE TINUBU? PLEASE, STOP DISTURBING MY TRIBE. MUST U CALL OUR NAME EVERYDAY? ARE WE YOUR GOD? |

Take the final step and cross to PDP or be prepared for APC to laugh at u.
APC are hurrying to rush parties and close your reentrance route.
U are winning, go for it, fortune befriend the bold. |

Igboid: OP. Adding Ikwerre, Ogba, Etche, Ekpeye to Igboland will not bring us any nearer to the sea.
Those groups do not offer Better sea access than SE already have with Obuaku in Abia state.
They are more southern, but their lands are not seacoasts and many don't have direct river access to the sea. For example, Ikwerre access to the sea is via Bonny Rivers and almost same distance to the ocean as the one at Obuaku. The Bonny river southwards to the sea is controlled by the Ijaws. So like in Obuaku, we will still need to reach agreement with Ijaws on international rivers sea access.
I have no issues with adding Igboid in Rivers state to Biafra , as its always good for brothers to stay together in unity, but I'm afraid, as far as sea access goes, those Igboids cannot offer us more than we already have in SE. It is true, SE is landlock, but Igbo speakers or Igbo land is not. We are even on the Island of Malabo. That is if u choose to jump Bonny and Opobo. Igbo is not landlocked. Of all the tribes in Nigeria we are located furthersest into the Atlantic Ocean, not even theIjaw Voyage that far. ccpazienza |

The only life that matters is yours.
Does she not have parents?
I bet is one of those miserable Black Americans, that blame Africans who killed her, on discovering she is Nigerian.
Coward blacks always looking for weak target rather than face their real oppressors.
Being black is tough man, I spend most times knowing black is black problem, not white.
Black people are very bad.

If not for them, we will not be discusiing something as absurd as this. Honestly, I think rape will apply but the court will be reluctant to do so in the case of a woman. |

ibkayee: Not what I asked. If your male child was raped, would you personally brush it off and/or say it wasn’t rape because the law doesn’t recognise it as rape? A child would be considered rape regardless of whether they are male or female. It is called statutory rape. The offender a paedophile. |

ibkayee: I'm not talking about how far it will go in court, I'm talking about whether it's wrong or right and how she should've handled it. Plus the fact that it's a law doesn't automatically make it ethically right
Within the context of Nigerian law, a male being raped is not recognized as rape. If your male child were raped would you brush it off just because it isn't recognized by law?
Just because the law doesn’t recognize it, doesn’t mean it technically isn't rape or make it any less terrible The law is fluid and dynamic. It is constantly changing alongside wat is deemed acceptable in our society. Rape, even in the most developed couuntries is the exclusive reserve of female and many assume male cannot be raped. That is where the alternate non fatal offences apply, as i mentioned earlier. Thus, the person that harms a male child will still be going to prison for a very long time, if they have a good lawyer. |
