I've already started loosing mucus plug but no blood, last night was body pain. I'm begging my baby to chill small.

My sister please how long after LO drops are they supposed to come out?. Been feeling like this for almost a week now yet no sign. By the way, my bags have been packed since March.

Thanks mama... This is my first pregnancy, I'm not having any contractions, just that it looks like something is pushing my pelvic bone and wants to drop.

Are you having contractions? If you are, I suggest you go to the hospital if not it might just be your baby dropping lower into your pelvis (engaged) in preparation for labour, but it does not necessarily mean labor will start soon ( today or in the next few days). Btw, is this your first baby? Cos with subsequent pregnancies sometimes labour starts soon after baby drops.

I was there till with 3 other women and I was the only FTM. A new shift at 8am Saturday and a new nurse took over, Lo and behold she was the only one on duty or that reported for duty by this time the contractions were not giving me space at all and I will be crawling like a baby, bending down, doing all sorts just to ease the pain but for where, was really trying not to shout but once the pain comes, will call Jesus, infact called my God different type of names, the Blessed virgin was called all her titles and I recited all the psalms I know in my brain, before I knew it one of the women delivered and she was shouting, I really got scared. At a point with tears in my eyes and pitiful look I told the other preggy that wasn't feeling pain to help me call the nurse, with anger she shouted at the nurse that this lady have been having pains since she came and u are not listening to her at all, go and check her jor, I was told to climb the bed, the woman helped me and as soon as nurse checked me she shouted that baby is almost here, she quickly took me to the delivery room, shaved me, gave me injection, during these periods, I was seeing stars and said I wanted to poo, she said I should hold on, placed my legs properly, told me to hold my legs and push once the next contraction comes. At that moment a cleaner now came to ask madam which one is our dettol, I just shouted carry the whole bag dey go ur house. I pushed with my strength, nothing and nurse said dont stop, me said I was tired, she said u cant be tired now, ur baby head is here, do u want to press it, she said she's not beating me since cos I have been cooperating well, I just eye am badly, then at the next contraction I pushed like am having a strong poo, then she tore me and again, I now said u wan tear the whole toros very angrily. As I pushed again baby came out crying seriously, my belly pressed, placenta out, baby placed on my chest, I just smiled, was very weak and feeling sleepy, my eyes were shutting. Nurse shouted my name, hold ur baby and kept on talking to me, was responding and telling her I was weak. She stitched and cleaned me up and helped me back to the other room with baby beside me. I was overwhelmed just staring at my prince charming.

Thank u mamas for being there, learnt a lot here even when I was still peeping from TTC thread. I pray and use little Max as a point of contact to all TTC mums, that they would also experience this wonderful and enjoyable pain through Christ our Lord. Amen

The Lord is awesome..... Thank you Jesus for another testimony... May God watch over mother and baby and put plenty money inside daddy's account. The same God that did it for you would come through for us all in Jesus name. We are getting ready by God's grace to welcome our own bundle of joy.

I don't understand this your last statement but if your PCV is fine then the pregnacare is okay plus it contains all the nutrients the baby needs to form well.

the last month I went the doctor said is Ok but I think I might need to take some since my hubby is not around now is only my blood that is forming the baby that's why am worried

I don't miss my antenatal or drugs at all. The pain has subsided in the morning but it was so much in the morning. Thank you very much God bless you

Please, do you regularly go for antenatal and take your prescribed drugs?
I advise you tell your doctor. Never experienced such when I was pregnant, so I can't help.

I'm 36weeks 5 days today, my pelvic bone is paining me, I'm in so much pain that if I want to turn it takes forever. What can I do please. Help me with a solution mamas, I can't even walk well.

Warm water was first trimester antidote for me.... As soon as I stepped into 2nd trimester, ice block took completely over. Till now it is extremely chilled water that is working for me.

na correct Usain Bolt senior so yes; please start getting ready oo mama Usain Bolt snr. Meanwhile I can so relate to the water aspect too. Just 2days ago that my usual night routine of taking nothing less than 6sachets of water stopped. Now too much liquid make me throw up so I have to cut down intake. also iced water no longer works so we are officially back to drinking nothhing but hot water.

I drink a bag of water in a day and half max. In a day I can take nothing less than 10-12 sachets. Is this how I would be running around trying to catch this guy when he starts walking? If so then I will need to get ready cos this one na Usain Bolt senior.

Awwww (was smiling all through reading this) So sorry about the inability to get a sound sleep mama, its all part of the testimony; Mine is to sleep in the morning. Same way my food/water cravings change like change. BTW my LO is saying hi to your LO

It's been a while I had a sound sleep, yesterday night my Dh put his hands on my tummy to sleep only for him to get up in the morning and ask me, does this child sleep at all? He moves really fast at night, like he is running race with someone.

Interesting BS.... Congratulations MA, this shows that God is still in the business of doing wonders. I use this BS as a prayer to everyone who has been crying and praying for the fruit of the womb that the Lord will remember you, wipe your tears cos your season of dancing has began. For the waddling mamas, may our Heavenly Father be with us all through the way, there shall be no loss of mother or baby.

First and foremost, this is more or less like a testimony cos it goes beyond a mere birth story......those who knows my story from d ttc thread will agree with me that it has been God all along, from conception to delivery.....ds belle show me shege...at a point I almost lost hope....all the signs and symptoms of "bellehood" I suffered it all....I lost a whooping 34kg....my mates dey carry belle dey fat me dey lean....through all these I never knew God was preparing me for a supernatural delivery.......

On the 17th of December, 2017....I had just finished making dinner for my dh and daughter...so I settled down to devour the "slapping" udala I bought....now normally l can whitstand pain to a large extent....around 10pm I started feeling funny....I was like could this be it...one mind told me to go and wake up hubby d other one told me to wait and be sure first bf waking d man, I obeyed the second.... by 12, the contractions was about 10mins apart....I went in to say my midnight prayers...I. couldnt concentrate...something told me wake up ds man and go to d hospital...then I remembered how dt Dr. Inserted his five fingers to burst my waterbag during my first pregnancy, d pain and sh!t omo I respected myself....I will go to d hospital I told myself but not now let d labour progress a bit.......thats how I kept vigil through out d night no sleep plus continuous labour....around 5 am...one strong one hit me as I went to urinate....suddenly I felt one strong urge to push.....but I just held myself.....by then the contractions was like 5mins apart....I went to heat up some water to take my bath...around 6 hubby woke up and I told I want to go to the hospital.....by then the urge to urinate was so strong....I ran to the toilet,nothing came out....the next I saw was me holding hubby's shoulder tightly crying...the poor man was like what is happening? Are u alright....it was even him that told me am urinating on my body...only for him to smell it and discover it was not urine, omo na my water break........I placed my hand down there, and could touch my baby's head.....he ordered me to lie down so that he will call our neighbours'wives....one came and instead of helping out was busy shouting Jesus! Jesus! ....the other one ran to call a nurse who lived nearby....I checked again by then d Baby's head was coming out....I braced myself and pushed with all my strength...the baby's head came out...I pushed again..the shoulder came out, I used my right hand to gently draw the baby out, it came out in one gulp, cord and all....the nurse came shortly to cut d cord and to birth the placenta......that was how I gave birth to my son in my bedroom at 6.45am....... one of the ladies cleaned him up with olive oil.

We later went to the hospital....he weighed 3.2kg.

Even if God decides not to do anything for me again through out my life (God forbid)....I feel he has done more than enough for me.....who would imagine little chicken-hearted me, that cry cry that would cry, whenever ppl stylishly hinted on her barreness, that fat yellow igbo woman wey no get pikin, see me now, from mama babe, I don become mama bomboy....to top it off I delivered him myself...God has finished doing everything for me nah..


Ehm! "Coughs".....make una no go copy me go try born for house oooo, there is a reason hospitals are there for....in as much as I delivered at home...it was not intentional and NOT my original plan....make nobody copy me ooo.

37weeks+, I found out I will be in the east for an important reason and will most likely give birth while there,so I made all arrangements and travelled with hubby at 38 weeks+. I quickly got recommendations for a good hospital and got myself acquainted with the staff and doctors. They are very wonderful people, infact.

My EDD was 06/06, so I relaxed myself for the coming two weeks,while trying to boost my blood level. But my baby had other plans of her own. On the morning of May 30th(Biafra day), I woke up and waddled to pee. After wiping,I saw blood stains. I have never bled,not even spotted at the beginning of the pregnancy, so what was this one na? I came online and threw the question to the house and some mamas advised me to go to the hospital. I and hubby rushed down,praying that we would not meet any violent group on the road. We arrived safely and I was ushered to a room to be checked. I never saw what came next. Vaginal examination is a bitch,mehn! I almost slapped the midwife in shock. She calmed me down enough to confirm that I was in labour and was 3cm dilated. She relayed it to he doctor and was advised to go home and wait till I feel strong and regular contractions, and return to them. I didn't wait to be told twice. My nyansh was already traumatized by that chooking of hand inside.

Throughout that day,I was waiting expectantly for the contractions to hit hard but nothing. At about 7pm,I cajoled hubby to follow me on an excruciatingly painful climb up a hill to force labour. After we came back,I went to urinate, and saw my bloody show. I knew my efforts were not in vain. Still,there was no contractions. I settled down for the night,hoping it would begin in the morning. As I lay down to sleep,I had a wet sensation down south. I got up and wham! My water gushed down. I woke hubby up to take me to the hospital. We got there at 11:35pm. I forgot that I was gonna go through another VE. When the night shift midwife came, and led me to the table,my heart did a flip ten times. I was like who sent me to come here now. This particular midwife was extraordinarily rough. No lubrication like the first one,just straight to the business. I screamed the hospital down. My hubby burst in,thinking I was already in active labour.

I was told I was only 4cm gone. Mogbe! Since morning! I spent the whole night climbing ramps and stairs, trying to hasten labour. Also went through three more VE every four hours till 9 am. A line was attached to my vein,ready for drips and whatever at anytime. Still, the whole process was dragging on slowly. The doctor told me that if by 1pm,nothing had changed,he would have to speed things up himself.

Come 1pm,there was no one to attend to me. All the staff had gone to their nursing school upstairs for an exam held that day! I had to wait till 2pm when they finished before I was checked again. This time I was only 6cm gone. Ha! I was mad as hell. I told them to do what they could to hasten things up cuz I was tired. No food or water since morning. The doctor led me to the delivery room on the pretext of checking me again. That was the last coherent thought I had for the next thirty minutes.

They discussed amongst themselves and came to a conclusion. Me,I was lying down waiting for them to tell me what's up. I didn't know one of the nurses had already injected something into my drip,till I looked up and saw it hanging above my head. The moment the drug hit my veins,I felt it. A coldness started from my hand and spread to my body. Me,that was having one contraction every thirty minutes, had five contractions in quick succession in six minutes. My back was being rubbed by one of the nurses and I was told how to breathe to ease the pain. The doctor told me that I would deliver very soon. I was like how? I just started having serious contractions. Within two minutes, I had the urge to poo. Everyone swung into action. They told me to push when the next contraction comes. When it hit,I pushed but I was snapping my legs shut. Come and see four nurses holding my legs down. They warned me not to try that stunt again.

Next one hit again, but it wasn't enough to push the baby out. The doctor then left his position and came to my belly and started tickling my skin. The next contraction started building up immediately. When it hit, he pushed down on my belly hard while another nurse pushed from head angle. I pushed very hard and poom! My baby came out all at once. I still don't know the speed at which the doctor used to catch her from his position of pushing my belly. I looked down and saw my fair skinned princess. She came out crying and the first thing she did was to suck her slimy fingers.

Placenta was attended to,I was cleaned up and moved to my ward to rest. The total amount of time,starting from when I was led to be checked by the doctor to when I was cleaned up took just approximately 30mins. Everything happened so fast that I was asking myself if I was done with delivery. And all without a single tear...

I just thank God for all. I thank all the mamas on this great thread for being there for people like me. I also thank all those who sent their well wishes. I can't begin to mention one by one but you are all special.

Lest I forget, I don't know how it happened or when it happened but on one of my numerous scans at 16/17weeks, the fibroids had all disappeared.

Sorry about that, when you lie down please put your legs on a pillow.... It worked for me when I had swollen feet. It is well o my teamie I guess our LOs are ready to debut anytime soon. It is well and would definitely end in praise.

Try to raise your feet and rest.
Swollen feet can be a result of water retention, bp or stress.

I also have left leg ache as well and I was purging for 2 days then I was advised to drink garri with cold water without sugar. Till now I never shit since Saturday. For the leg pain please endure but once it's getting too hard to bear, run to the hospital. God will help us all. Please does anyone have any recommendations for this vaginal pain cos the way I'm feeling ehn it's like I've been on marathon sex for 1 month straight and the pain no gree me near my oga o.

Good morning mama's I can't walk properly or carry my legs especially my right leg I feel numb down there though I did lots of house chores yesterday I don't know if that is the cause. Please is anyone experiencing same? Took paracetamol last night woke up this morning again with same pain please help .

Also excessive poo been purging since yesterday morning...

The price varies. In Delta, its 60k. In some other states, its 80k. In some general hospitals in Lagos, its 70k.
Just pick a particular hospital and make enquiries directly.
CS is expensive in most private hospitals. My hospital recently upped their price from 250k to 350k
The earlier you book, the better, seeing that you are almost due already

Am in Lagos too, using Alimosho general hospital igando.
their Cs is 79,000 but you will register/ book. Go their on Tuesday for booking and registration, you will be accepted though the midwife will give you mouth which is normal but will not reject you.
below is the break down of the payment which is in 3 stages

1. ist payment (booking and registration), 17000

2. second payment 13200

3. 3rd payment (depends on normal delivery or CS)

3a normal delivery, 19000

3b Cs 79000

They amount of CS is 150k and W all know how country is right now.

I'm in Lagos and I'm 36weeks gone and just considering general hospital because I'm very scared of general hospital and the private hospital I use says it is 150k for CS.

I think it Depends on your location. Here, it is 120k in private hospital and 80k in General Hospital. Ekiti State...
