My bro has 2 options to travel.

Finland (Bsc, 3.5yr), 9k€, move with dependent.
UK (MRes, 2yr), 8k£, move with dependent


He already has bsc in naija and wants to move with his wife. Which options is the best. Long-term, short-term, based on hustle and ability to recoup the loan he's taking for everything.

But the CAS deadline is Dec 16, by then the money won't be up to the required 28 days.
He got admission NOV 18.
Should he still go ahead, cos we read in the terms n conditions that no refund if you get rejected cos of POF no refund

Having dependant visa for PBS student is now more tedious. My guess is UK is also more expensive for your study but i recognise it's an MSc degree which is better off than a Bachelors degree.
Relative cost --- Finland over UK
Bringing Dependants ___Finland over UK
English speaking ____ UK over Finland
Quickest to permanent residency__Finland over UK
Work Prospects-- Not sure

Overall, with the current policy trends in UK, i personally will be more inclined to Finland than UK. Although there is bigger african communities in most of the UK, Finland is a beautiful country to live in.

Realistically, the chances of getting skilled worker visa with that course is very, very low as I know many who studied that course and are now doing care jobs, warehouse jobs etc with their post study work visa.

I will advise your brother, to switch to Msc Psychology (conversion) if he has the capacity to, as the tuition fees would also be within the same range. If he graduates well, he will be eligible for Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society and can apply for roles within the mental health field, could apply for roles within the prisons, children and adult social care services in the public sector after gaining some experience from the private sector.

I presently work for a London borough (local government), within their children services because of my background in Psychology both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, with relevant work experience. They easily switched my skilled worker visa from my previous employer.
