This is honesty. Unlike the lie-filled CVs and cover letters we cook up in Nigeria, this cover letter is a sincere one. Until we learn to be sincere to ourselves, we'd keep fooling around. |
OP, your missive makes little or no sense at all. |

Nigeria - 4 Killed In Religious Riots In Central Taraba A Christian vigilante group killed a Muslim resident who insisted on going through their illegal checkpoint, triggering riots that have left at least four people dead in central Nigeria, a local official said Sunday, and showing how communities have lost faith in government's ability to protect them. Rioters have burned down houses and shops in the remote area of Ibi, about 140 miles (230 kilometers) from the Taraba state capital of Jalingo, said Ibi local government chairman Isiaku Adamu. Abubakar Abubakar Bello, an Ibi resident, told The Associated Press that churches and mosques were also torched as he stood outside his home to protect it. He said residents were fleeing his town. A Taraba State government spokesman Emmanuel Bello said Sunday that authorities have sent troops to the area to quell the violence. Christians had put up several checkpoints early Sunday to stop Muslims from nearing their church during their services as a response to church attacks in other parts of the country, Adamu said. The ensuing riots come three weeks after a suicide bomber rammed an SUV loaded with explosives into a Catholic church holding Mass on Sunday in the north central city of Kaduna, killing at least seven people and wounding more than 100 others. The car bombing was the latest high- casualty attack targeting churches in a West African nation of more than 160 million people evenly divided between Muslims and Christians. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. However, a radical Islamist sect known as Boko Haram has previously targeted churches in a bid to exacerbate religious tensions in Nigeria. In June, Boko Haram claimed responsibility for church attacks that occurred three weekends in a row in central and northern Nigeria. The trio of attacks triggered bloody reprisals, raising the toll to at least 50 deaths. The most deadly attacks seem to have targeted Christian holidays: An Easter Day blast in Kaduna left at least 38 people dead, and a Christmas Day suicide bombing of a Catholic church near Nigeria's capital killed at least 44. Boko Haram claimed responsibility for both attacks. That threat has prompted churches to boost their security, but Sunday's killing in Ibi is the first reported death blamed on Christian vigilante groups. Boko Haram, which is held responsible for more than 730 deaths this year alone, according to an AP count, is also blamed for attacks targeting mosques, churches, schools, government buildings, phone masts and universities. www.africaeagle.com/2012/11/nigeria-4-killed-in-religious-riots-in.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+Africaeagle+(AfricaEagle)&m=1 |

duality: the issues i have with all these is that he was in PDP before now. the same PDP that is always vilified. now he's now employed by ACN. Tomorrow, some will call PDP a killer party and urge us to vote them out. and probably vote in ACN.Obahiagbon has been in ACN. He wasn't in PDP prior to this development. |

I've been married for two and a half years now. I can say that everyday comes with its own experience. My wife is a lively woman. Sincerely she brings balance to my home. Anytime I come back home from work, I get refreshed by her company. Tbis makes me head home straight from work. Another thing about her is that she always wants me to help her with some household chores. Any help with these chores makes her happy. In this regard, I advise our newly weds to look out for what makes their spouses happy. Do it unto them. It helps stabilize the home. In 2011 God blessed us with a lovely daughter. My little daughter is another bundle of joy to us. To show my little appreciation to my family, I take them out almost every other weekend. Am pressed for time. |
I saw it from the website. application now closes on the 28th October 2012. It means there's a 14-day extension. |
One feature that thrills me about my iPhone is how I can quickly scan my document anytime the need for that arises without having to look for a scanning machine. I then attach it to my mail and send it anywhere anytime. I don't know whether SG3 does that. |
jamil!:seems you are a Boko Haram apologist. Why not view OBJ comments objectively? |
This is ridiculous! For how long can we continue to be taken for a ride by these thieves? We must rise up against this attack on our sensibilities. How many of these people legally earned this money and are ready to dole out this whooping millions? It's terrible! |

Hi Nairalanders, I need help here. After creating my wireless ad-hoc network so I can connect my other devices like my iPhone or my Nokia E63, the wireless network always shows unidentified network. This makes my devices not being able to connect to the wireless network. What could be the cause of this? I've tried all I could, but to no avail. Can someone please help me out? Thanks |

As far as I know (as at 2004), WAEC does not entertain correction of Names and Date of Birth, except if that has been relaxed now. |
If this news is true. Then that's great. But let me say this to those of us jubilating and celebrating stable electricity supply in our areas. Know that we are in rainy season. Water level in our hydro stations normally increase during this period. This increase in water level leads to corresponding increase in power generation. So, I suggest we wait and see what happens during the dry season. On the issue of PHCN staff being sacked: Quite well many of them are not productive. They don't contribute anything to the development of the company. I agree with you that there is corruption in PHCN. But the corruption begins with those in Aso Rock and all other politicians. It's a Nigerian thing. Do you believe that the entire PHCN with all its assets and liabilities have been valued at only N200Billion? The Minister of Power , Barth Nnaji has vested interest in the process. He wants to buy the Enugu Zone of the company, hence, the under valuing of the company. Manitoba of Canada that he contracted the Transmission Company to, has his wife as Director (I don't have problem with that). Just like someone asked earlier, where is NITEL? Who bought NITEL? Was it not Transcorp? Who own Transcorp? Is it not OBJ and his cohorts? My prayer is that let this thing work. If privatising PHCN will bring about stable light, I am in. That's what I want. |
Nice one there. Kudos. |
