Is it right to hold western gov’ts accountable for the part their forebears played in the slave trade? Sure it is! there was a Benin republic. It was called Dahomey then. You can verify their slave trading empire. Just Google it. Their kings were renowned slave traders. They are still very top in human trafficking till today.
