Overview:
The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) was established in 2002 to increase access to care and treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS and to strengthen health systems in resource-poor countries. Over the past few years, CHAI has expanded the scope of our work to include access to high-quality treatment for malaria, new vaccines and essential treatments for common childhood illnesses such as diarrhoea and pneumonia. CHAI has also increasingly supported governments to build the capacity required for high-quality care and treatment programs. Currently, CHAI partners with governments in more than 25 countries while more than 70 countries directly benefit from the low-priced drugs and diagnostic test agreements that CHAI has negotiated.

Nigeria’s maternal mortality rate of 576 deaths for every 100,000 live births accounts for approximately 14% of the global burden of maternal deaths--second only to India. This represents approximately 37,000 maternal deaths per year. Under-5 mortality rate is 128 per 1,000 live births and Nigeria experiences over 800,000 deaths among under-five children annually, 30% of which is attributable to newborn deaths. Mortality rates for children, infants and neonates are higher than the latest average estimates for the Sub-Saharan Africa region: 128, 69 and 37 per 1,000 live births respectively. Nigeria’s targets for MDGs 4 and 5 are 70 under-five deaths per 1000 live births and 250 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. While some progress has been recorded, current rates of 2% and 4% reductions in maternal mortality and under-5 mortality, respectively, suggest that drastic action is needed if Nigeria is to attain these targets.

Recognizing the need for an innovative and high impact response to reduce the high maternal and child mortality rates, Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) plans to roll out a comprehensive Maternal and Newborn Health program which uses an integrated approach to address critical gaps, create linkages through the entire system from communities up to tertiary care, and leaves a sustainable system for on-going impact.

Either ways, since that opening isn't originally from your 'recruiting agency', it's expected you'd have it linked back to General Electric's career page correspondingly.
The..web..address..looks..something..like: http://www.ge.com, took me less than 5 seconds to type that out.


You got wind of a job opening from GE (most definately hotnigerianjobs or nigeriabestjobs), reposted it on Nairaland(without linking back to where you originally copied it out from). Thinking no one was watching; you deliberately redirected naive forumites to your gbanjo website coersing them to first undergo a lenghty process of first creating a profile and uploading documents before eventually been redirected back to General Electric's career portal to start applications!

C'mon! Would putting up the direct and matching web link to GE's recruitment portal after the post had cost you your arms and legs?

That said; I only hope Seun, Ishilove, Mynd44, Obinoscopy or any of the other Mods don't get to see this. Your handle would have been auctioned before you knew it!

Let me just add that there is so many things you don't know about recruiting and yet you still had the confidence to say all those things up there. Now let me ask you a question , does LinkedIn redirect candidate to company's website for some job application ? Creating an online profile shouldn't be a problem for a job seeker that's really looking for a job . I know this is a forum of anonymous but we must be careful of the attribute we display here .

- One of the Inspection Engineers within the Field Operations/MIN team for the PROJECT Development Project.
- Involved in the execution of Baseline inspections and collecting of the relevant data.
- A contributor to the Definition and Coordination activities related to Inspection along the Development Project.
- An advisor to work packages, providing expert appraisal and proposing the appropriate studies.
- Expected to assist in the issuance of the inspection plans.
- Expected to define and supervise studies of Inspection, specific Sub Sea and Hull inspection, guarantees the technical expertise and ensures respect of deadlines and costs.
- Required to define the Inspection policy, organizations, and procedures and advise on the Inspection budget.
- Required to Set-up and maintain the Inspection Data base for all applicable equipment.
- Responsible for ensuring proper follow-up/filling of the technical documentation including certificates.
- Required to follow up the inspections carried out by Authorities and Certifying authorities.
- Responsible for performing specific inspections or analysis about corrosion, cracks or other unforeseen defects.
- Responsible for the written scope of Inspection work generated by MIE contractor
- Responsible to provide technical assistance and support to the various site users about corrosion control, welding techniques, and other technical matters in accordance with own field of expertise.
- Responsible for the reporting of all Inspection related data in to the Integrity system
- Required to ensure proper coordination and communication in the fields of inspection and integrity at own level with staff of same or other, on or offshore based
- Any other responsibilities/activities within the limits of the SERVICE holder’s capabilities.

- To fully comply with office security, health and safety instructions.
- To stay vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of hazards and surroundings.
- To report to Management on any issue they may face or observe and propose way of improvement.

Job Requirements

Education: Mechanical Engineer or Inspector with level 1 qualifications.
Professional experiences: 10 to 12 years experience in Maintenance and Inspection in operations, engineering, subsea engineering either in oil companies as leader in Headquarters, Project or Subsidiary or in engineering, of which ideally 5 years experience in Inspection.
Shall be fully conversant with Subsea inspection techniques and work methods.
