OK guys, nice to be back online. I know so many hv been waiting to hear frm me. My interview was successful. We were 14. I was opportuned to take a lunch with dem cos my time got to dia lunch time. On my interview questions, I was asked based on my CV as usual. IT, My research project work: treatment of refinery waste water nd my design project: design of municipal waste water plant. I was asked to differentiate refinery water nd municipal water. Why do u wana work wit us, how long do we give u to resume, how much do u wana be paid. What is a catalyst. Then we talked and we laughed together, it was fun. D whole stuff is by God's favour. Competition is high. No need to kill ursef. Wish all of us good luck.

Dude glo standard has fallen. In 2008 it was 2.5 p/a. Then before i left it was 1.5p/a. Maybe it would be 75k per month now but i seriously doubt if that would be the case. If you are currently unemployed please take the job and leave after 2 years. Please dont hope on promotion. They hardly promote and it hardly comes with money. Learn all what you can learn. IHS would employ you sharply. I made good friends while working there.

please help brief us on how the interview will look like since you were once successful....it will go a long way to help us avoid some pitfalls

alright let say it goes like this....
you are in a exam hall competing for a price with other guys as good as you are; after scaling the selection processes. You have two options....focus on your work or assist your fellow competitors and watch them beat you to the price. The most painful thing is not that they actually beat you; but that you assisted in giving them victory over yourself.

Lets look at it the other way, you go into the exam , come out top with victory and then give up coming competitors clues on how to overcome. I think that is the only sane approach. Life is not fair, we all know that; but we must not act in a way as to shoot ourselves on the foot.

The results are not out....so we are all still competitors in this. I know some folks might imply that I am one of those who didn't do well in the interview; and I also think my performance is my privacy and I have the right to divulge it or not. So please lets have some respect for ourselves: Notore is not the end of the world....let's cut some slack.

30,000naira is nothing to write home about and is nothing been proud off. Why should he earn N30,000 if he is not able to settle his bills?

There read my post over and over again and you will get what i say. He can do a vocational job of monetize his skill and earn more...

You fail to understand that the more you accept ease the poorer you become.


I am a youth serving corp member, with one of the best results in my faculty... Even before graduating i am already working in 2 media house. I left all the comfort of salary summing up to 100k a month just 1 month graduating ( December ) to go for my business and ma i can comfortably tell you that today.

Only November last month i made a 409million + transaction banking a N19.4million profit. My accounts and statement and office records are there as proof. I run my office i do whatever i like, i sack anyone at will.

Mind you i wud have taken the easy path as a lecturer.

I worked for it and its paying me today. So if i can forget the comfort of a 100k+ salary a month to go struggle, i dont see why he should accept 30,000/month salary which will not sustain him for 3 weeks.

There is a reason why we have brains, its to think and work on what we think. Business is not all rosy yes i know that but even at worst case scenario business men are better than salary earners.

Its not growth to me nor a starting point.

To say the least am impressed at your record of success.....Please teach me the ways
