Webmasters / Microsoft Officially Retires Windows 10 Version 1903 by harrytlm: 8:51pm On Dec 12, 2020
The December 2020 Patch Tuesday brought not only new cumulative updates for Windows 10 but also the death of another version, as Microsoft has officially retired Windows 10 version 1903.

The last update this particular release received is KB4592449, and it increases the OS build number to 18362.1256. Users are now recommended to upgrade their devices in order to receive new security patches and improvements for the operating system.

The next release after version 1903 is Windows 10 version 1909, and this one comes in the form of a small pack of improvements that’s described by many as a little more than a service pack. This is the reason Windows 10 version 1903 and 1909 receive the same cumulative updates, and Microsoft recommends the upgrade to be performed as soon as possible.
Update now or else

“Windows 10, version 1903 has reached end of servicing as of this release dated December 8, 2020. To continue receiving security and quality updates, Microsoft recommends that you update to the latest version of Windows 10. If you want to update to Windows 10, version 1909, you must use the Enablement Package KB4517245 (EKB). Using the EKB makes updating faster and easier and requires a single restart,” the company says.

Needless to say, if you want to upgrade to a newer version of Windows 10, the recommended choice is version 20H2, which has shipped one month ago and whose rollout is still under way.

Microsoft is also working on two more releases for 2021, and the first one is expected to land in the spring as another small pack of improvements. A bigger update is due in the fall of the next year as Windows 10 version 21H2, and it’s believed Microsoft is planning big improvements, including even Android app support on the desktop.

TV/Movies / Joaquin Phoenix Offered $50M To Return For 2 Joker Sequels? by harrytlm: 6:50pm On Sep 16, 2020
Warner Bros. is reportedly quite serious about getting Joaquin Phoenix back, not only for Joker 2, but for another sequel as well, which would complete a trilogy. Joker arrived last year and became an unexpectedly huge hit both critically and commercially, controversial though it may have been. As such, the studio seems intent on getting Phoenix back under the makeup for another go as the DC villain. As incentive, they are said to be offering him a boatload of cash.

According to a new report, Joaquin Phoenix is being offered $50 million to return for Joker 2 and 3. Warner Bros. is said to be hopeful that the movies could be ready to go in 2022 and 2024, respectively. This comes after Phoenix took home the Best Actor Oscar earlier this year at the Academy Awards, capping off a huge awards season run. Plus, Joker took in more than $1 billion at the box office, making it hugely profitable, given its relatively small budget. An unnamed insider had this to say about it.

"Joaquin initially felt Joker was a standalone movie. But he's changed his tune now. He says he wants to play this character again, despite the controversies that came with the release last year. It's still being negotiated but the scripts are being written and Joaquin is very engaged with it."
