1. Yes, u need to send her original VERPFLICHTUNGERKLARUNG because the embassy needs original.
2. I don’t think she needs her bank statement. But ask people who used same process before may be that will help.

Just book your appointment on lagos embassy page. Abuja is for government officials not for everyone. NOTE: for signature certification and consular purpose, you can book appointment in abuja if you are from northern states as a ordinary person.

Pls for those who live in the north and want to book appointment is it still same Lagos because what I see on the Abuja page is only passport and consulate matter.
