tatacherie:

My dd has been suffering this same rashes since she was 4 months old. After seeing a dermatologist we discovered she reacts to oats, groundnuts, soyabeans, coconut whatsoever, hollandia milk, some certain daipers etc
I was only assured She'll out grow the allergies by age 5 but however I should continue watching out for foods that trigger it.
Our dermatologist prescribed Mupirocin ointment and that's what soothes the itching till date. She's 2 years plus now
We have done away with nuts for now and the rashes only occur once in a long while
Pls see a skin Dr in UCH or where'er you wish
Those rashes are bitches mehn so frustrating
I pray she get over it soon
Pele!
Thanks mama. I will be on the lookout. Am grateful ma

she might have an undiagnosed food allergy.

remove all dairy based products (including eggs) as well as any food containing nuts completely from her diet for 8 weeks and see if there is any improvement.

she can get her protein from other sources such as chicken and beef.

another food group that might be responsible is seafood (fish, prawns, crayfish, etc). some children are allergic to seafood.

Wow. I never thought of this. That's a great possibility. Thank you for opening my eyes ma

You've already tried so many things so maybe it's time to calm down and find out what works for her skin. For now just moisturize and leave it alone. Try sebamed or Aveeno soap, no dettol and their likes and no creams and lotions. Also try feeding her lots of milk, fruits and vegetables. Since it started post weaning, she might be lacking some of those nutrients that are usually good for the skin.

Thanks ma. I will try and use sebamed soap for her cos I have heard a lot of good reviews about it, besides aveeno is not really common in my area. I will also up her fruits intake from now. Thank you once again

You can actually do a Sespool which is the best method deploy for areas with high water table. All you need is get a competent Mechanical Engineer/Consultant to help you fix it as soon as possible.
...
P.S: Construction during dry season won't solve the issh totally coz when the water table is up again without proper channeling of underground water, it is eventually gonna lead to disaster if not properly done.

I would show my husband this suggestion cos he's not a nairalander. Thank you for your input sir. I really appreciate

you are always welcome ma but just as stated by @rubbiish and as I said earlier the best for this type of land will be the precast to avoid possible breakdown of the septic tank in the future. It is better to be on a safe side .

OK sir, will start working towards it

Even if u decide to wait for dry season, u may still need to adopt the bold approach for your type of land to avoid possible collapse.
Walls should be majorly of concrete...

OK sir, thank you for your input but please can you help out with the cost implications of the precast. The septic tank is 12 by 12 while the soak away is 8 by 8. Thank you once again sir

We would wait till dry season. Thank you sir

you might have to wait till dry season but if you want it done now and well done then you have to do a precast of the septic tank on the ground before you lower it into the hole . This method is the best for water logged area but it is capital intensive as you have to use lots of iron rods, cements, granite and sand (no brick/block setting)

Maybe we would wait till dry season then, cause fund can be a major season. By the way, dry season is just around the corner. Thank you sir

Price fluctuates. As at Dec last year when we had the first shot we paid 9k thereabout (we were told there was a promo) by the time we went back 4 weeks after for the follow-up shot we paid 17k thereabout (promo had ended). So just budget 40k for 12months and 13months.

Thank you so much ma. My DD will be one on Thursday which coincidentally falls on the immunisation day.

@ spiceeamiee, Pls don't get yourself worked up, I remember you gave birth to her a day after mine.(6th July). Now every child achieve their milestones at different pace. Can you believe that my DD does not have a tooth yet and am not bothered cos have not seen a toothless adult. Like other mamas has said, she might want to walk without going through the stage of crawling. It is well with us and our children.
