My own AF showed the same day my DD clocked three months. I was disappointed cos I thought exclusively breastfeeding her will cause me not to see AF.

if it does not seem to be working FINISH the course none the less. do not stop for a day to see what will happen, do not stop unless expressly advised by your doctor.


by stopping you are building the resistance of the bacteria already in the child's body . should another infection occur that should be readily treatable, you are now dealing with Bacteria that is wearing amour with machine gun and you will be wondering why normal antibiotics cannot help you.

I have actually stopped the antibiotics based on the advice given to me on this forum but the poo has not stop still, I am presently in the hospital waiting to see the doctor. Thanks ma and everyone

If she is purely on ebf, stop the antibiotics for a day and see the reaction. Flagyl made my lo purge more so a doc told me to stop using that and keep breastfeeding her and she became fine.

Yes a 4months old can grow teeth. My sons first 2teeth came out at 3months. Pls try to avoid antibiotics as much as possible.

Whenever my baby starts stooling, I just switch to Ebf and make sure i breastfeed very often to keep her hydrated. Usually stops by the end of the next day. The only time she stooled for up to 4 days she was reaction to Zinnat antibiotics. Try to see what she's been eating, if bmilk can sustain her then switch to EBF until it stops, if not, handle all bottle sterilization, food preparation and feeding by yourself

Before it use to be after breastfeeding her but it has reduced to like four times a day. The poo is not too watery but slimy and yellowish in colour(egusi-like). She is purely on breastmilk ma

Did they run tests on her to know the cause of the stooling cos Flagyl and ampiclox are both antibiotics. Is the stooling watery? I hope you gave her rota vaccine.

1: Yes a 4mon can cut teeth even some babies start from 3months.
2: Give her ORS to bring back the lost electrolytes or you can make your own ORS using salt, sugar and water if she's still pooping, continue giving her the baby zinc. If she's formula fed try and sterilize her feeder well. Watch what you eat too.

They did not carry out any test on her o. The doctor only concluded it's infection based on my complaint. Yes,she took rotavirus vaccine. I will start giving her ORS and continue with the zinc too. Thanks for your input ma.

For me ooo,antibiotics makes my children stool alot! So most times,i just call the pead/doc and tell them and they'll say i should stop and afterwards,my kids will be totally fine!

There was a time my first ds was stooling(he was about 6months then). Whenever he eats(frisogold rice cereal),give it 2-3mins,he'll stool. Igot so worried that i started crying... Was given all manner of drugs(expensive ones o) but none work until a PHARMASIST suggested i give him flagyl(anoda kind on antibiotics)which i was afraid to give but i did. Alas,d stooling reduced then stopped eventually!

But i'll like to say,u should also watch what you eat cus she draws fromyou or is she also on formula For me,i dread antibiotics for babies o!

Good afternoon mothers, Pls my 4 month old daughter has been stooling since Saturday and I took her to clinic where she was given amplicox, flagyl and zinc to be used and we have since been using it. But this stooling only reduced and did not stop totally, so my mom said the stooling might be because she wants to cut teeth.
1. Can a four month baby cut teeth?
2. What can I use to stop her from stooling?
Pls help a worried mother.

Sabi mamas, please help me tourchlight this matter.
I discovered am no longer bleeding and its just 11days after giving birth,whereas someone told me the bleeding should last till like four to six weeks. Please, what could be wrong cos am really scared.

2.What can i do to go back to my pre pregnancy stature especially my tummy.

I started contracting on sunday right from church but since it is not frequent,i ignored it besides tuesday the 4th of july was my antenatal so i decided to wait till tuesday since the contraction was not painful.
Fast forward to tuesday, when i got to the clinic for antenatal i was checked, behold i was 2cm gone. The doctor told me i could no longer go home with the way the contraction is coming coupled with the fact that am way past my EDD according to LMP. Hence, i was admitted but immediately i tried to lie on the hospital bed, i ruptured my membrane.
The doctors kept coming at interval to check how far have gone only to discover am stil at 2cm. Long story short, oxytocin was administered yet i didn't go way past 2cm even after increasing the dosage.
After 22 hours of labour and no progress in the dilation of cervix,i was scheduled for C.S and within 55 minutes of being operated upon,my beautiful princess was brought out yelling her lungs out. She weighed 3.5kg and she is the most beautiful creature have ever seen.

Thanks for the mention ma. I feel loved. I did another scan last week, only to be told that my baby now weighs 3.5kg can you imagine? After I was told like 3 or 4 weeks ago that she is small for her GA. Now am scared cos she seems to be on the big side now.

Yes ma. The baby weight and age had always corresponded until it was discovered by the most recent scan.
The last time I checked it was 110/70.

Please help me torchlight the matter all sabi mamas. I did a growth scan on Tuesday only to discover that my baby is weighing 1.9 instead of 2.5 for fetus of her age. Besides, sonographer said my baby is measuring three weeks behind. I have been worried since then mamas. What could be wrong with my baby and what can be done to increase her weight? Please, don't read and pass.
